This paper discloses a virtual conversational method and system to relieve the psychological stress of adolescents. It also aims at providing some positive information through continuous dialogue answers in order to guide adolescents to think and face difficulties with a positive and optimistic attitude and the agenda of reliving the psychological pressure of the adolescents can be achieved. Conventional face-to-face stress detection and relief methods do not work when confronted with those adolescents who are reluctant to express their negative emotions to the people in real life. In this paper, we would like to present an adolescentoriented intelligent conversational chatting system called "HappySoul", which acts as a virtual friend who can assist to encourage, understand, comfort, and guide stressful adolescents to pour out their bad and negative feelings, thereby releasing the stress. Chatbots, or conversational interfaces, present a new way for adolescents to interact with computer systems. This chatbot will allow a user to simply ask questions in the same way that they would address a human. The technology at the core of the proposed chatbot is natural language processing ("NLP"), RNN and client server architecture with the help of Android GUI.

With the world becoming more and more competitive every passing day, the number of people suffering from stress and other mental health issues is exponentially increasing. Even school children and senior citizens are becoming victims of stress and pressure in today's world. The mental health of an individual is as important as physical health is. But unfortunately, there is a lack of awareness and proper mental health facilities in today's society, which demands the individuals to fight against their odds without any support. Therefore, we propose a solution in the form of a chatbot that will act as a medium for the users to communicate with, let out their feelings and thus get relieved of the stress that is clogged up. A chatbot application will be available at all times at the user's expense and will also keep track of the user's mood over a span of time.
Designing of I -BOT for Stress Relief
International Journal for Research in Applied Science & Engineering Technology (IJRASET), 2022
A Chatbot is a software application used to conduct an online chat conversation via text or text-to-speech, rather of furnishing direct contact with a live human agent. Designed to convincingly pretend the way a human would bear as a conversational mate. In the proposed system, we presented a chatbot that generates a positive response to user queries. The Proposed System is grounded on Artificial Intelligence Chatbot. This chatbot provides a vast intelligent base that can help pretend problem-solving for humans. We can help if the user has any problems or he wants to share something then our chatbot understands their problem and gives a positive reply to them.
Chatbot: Virtual Counsellor Using Speech Emotion Recognition System
An individual usually stops disclosing deeply to other people because of the fears of bad judgement. They are concerned about being judged, rejected or burdening the listener, thus preventing potential benefits. Some students struggle with embarrassment and shame about topics that need to be discussed to keep to themselves. Technology involvements, such as chatbot, have been designed to help with these problems, such as stress, anxiety, and depression. Thus, this study proposed developing a mobile application with chatbot implementation for students to improve and manage their mental health. Using the Speech Emotion Recognition system, the Virtual Counsellor was developed using Android Studio and Visual Studio Microsoft and implemented a chatbot using Watson Assistant API. The result showed positive feedback from the testing participant. However, some of the features need to be enhanced, including creating mood analysis for the chatbot.
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON INTERPROFESSIONAL HEALTH COLLABORATION AND COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT, 2022
The current trend of making learning chatbots stimulates the creativity of educators to overcome the learning problems that many teenagers experience today, one of which is the creation of learning chatbots to address adolescent mental health. Currently, many adolescents are experiencing mental problems, it is estimated that there are more than 1 in 7 adolescents aged 10-19 years in the world living with a diagnosis of mental disorders. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of chatbot friends to confide in to overcome mental health problems of adolescents. The research methodology used is qualitative by conducting text analysis on chatbot content and chatbot user comments. The results showed that many teenagers who had mental health problems needed a place to express their feelings. Talking to chatbots is an alternative because they can comfortably express their feelings. Especially during the pandemic, this chatbot application is considered very helpful in overcoming the problems of teenagers who have mental health problems
IRJET- Chatbot for Monitoring Mental Health
IRJET, 2020
Mental health indicates the degree of psychological prosperity. When a person faces an unbalanced mental health, it results in mental disorder. In India, the number of cases regarding the mental disorder is increasing every year, and there is a shortage in the mental healthcare professionals. In such situations, technologies like Artificial Intelligence helps to fill the gap. In recent days, many industries have started to adopt the chatbot for answering user's question with the help of chat interfaces. With the latest development in technologies, it has become easy to develop a chatbot application, but the application itself is a complex system. It is a challenge to achieve the efficiency, effectiveness and also to satisfy the users while developing a chatbot. Because of chatbot's popularity and user-friendly features, it has taken the place of humans. In this paper, we analyze the performance of the chatbot which will ask a series of question on the basis of Depression Anxiety Stress Scales (DASS), and take user to next level, which is recording answers to another set of questions, if necessary. Finally, the mental health of the user will be analyzed by the chatbot.

This paper is developed to take the edge off depression. Chatbots are special agents which are used to process a specific task, and it can be used to introduce a product to a customer or solve relative problems associated with a product, thus saving human resources. In this study, we have aimed to provide a chatbot for a society that will help to reduce the number of depression survivors. In this study, we have used RNN LSTM encoder-decoder model to know the user’s emotional state and according to that chatbot gives the best response. We have proposed a multi-purpose dialogue model which can be used in daily communication rather than for specific tasks. It helps those people who are suffering from depression and have fear of sharing their feelings or fear of being judged.
Development of an Empathy-Centric Counseling Chatbot System Capable of Sentimental Dialogue Analysis
Processes
College students encounter various types of stresses in school due to schoolwork, personal relationships, health issues, and future career concerns. Some students are susceptible to the strikes of failures and are inexperienced with or fearful of dealing with setbacks. When these negative emotions gradually accumulate without resolution, they can cause long-term negative effects on students’ physical and mental health. Some potential health problems include depression, anxiety, and disorders such as eating disorders. Universities commonly offer counseling services; however, the demand often exceeds the counseling capacities due to limited numbers of counsellors/psychologists. Thus, students may not receive immediate counseling or treatments. If students are not treated, some repercussions may lead to severe abnormal behavior and even suicide. In this study, combining immersive virtual reality (VR) technique with psychological knowledge base, we developed a VR empathy-centric counsel...
