The aim this study is to find the effect of cooperative learning and conventional learning models on the history subject achievement of SMA 2 and SMA 4 students in Pekanbaru city. Besides, this research is also intended to find out the perception of both students and teachers about cooperative learning. The dependent variable is students taught by using cooperative learning model (N=72) and the independent variable is taught by traditional learning model (N=72). The pre-test was given at the first time, and post-test was 16 weeks after. There are six research instruments. The collected data were analyzed by using SPSS version 13. In addition, conte nt analysis was used to find the differences between cooperative and traditional learning models. The results showed that there were differences between cooperative and traditional learning approach. However, tanalysis showed that there were no differences between cooperative and conventional learni ng. Then, the content analysis show ed that most students prefer working in a group, meaning that cooperative learning was better than conventional learning. Based on the data analysis and its findings, the conclusion and suggestion were no different student's scores of history subject taught with jigsaw cooperative learning model and conventional model, there was a significantly different learning achievement based on pre-test and post-test of the students taught with jigsaw cooperative model in SMAN 2 and SMAN 4 Pekanbaru.

This study aims to determine the effect of the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students at SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research design using nonequivalent control group design. Sampling using purposive sampling. The population in this study were class VIIIE students at SMP Negeri 2 Waingapu in the odd semester of 2022/2023. The sample of this research is 32 students of class VIIIE as an experimental class. The results of the descriptive analysis obtained showed that the pretest and posttest scores for the experimental class were 69.19 <76.28 while the pretest and posttest scores for the control class were 63.50 <69.56. Further testing the hypothesis using the paired sample t-test produces an Asymp value. Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 means that the value is less than 0.05 (< 0.05). It can be concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model has an influence on learning outcomes. Keywords: Learning Mo...

The purpose of the present research was to study the effect of cooperative methodology on the social skill development of the primary students. The methodology was quasi-experimental, with pre-test, post-test, and control group. The population of the research was all 486 'Laleh' primary school male students in the year of 2009-2010, among whom, 61 four-grade participants were finally chosen. They were randomly assigned into two groups (30 students in the experimental and 31 in the control groups). The data were collected via researcher-made questionnaire. Having been collected, the data were analyzed via a T-Test so that the means of the two groups in the pre-test and post-test could be compared. The results illustrated that the cooperative methodology had an effect on students' social skill development including respecting others, respecting rules and regulations, and thinking critically.

Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences, 2011
The purpose of present study is to determine effectiveness of cooperative learning on the social skills of first grade elementary school girl students. For this reason, 74 students of first grade elementary school (37 experimental groups and 37 control group) were selected by the random taking samples. The method of this study is quasi-experimental method by pre-test-post-test with control group. Research measures are a list of evaluation of social skills (Matson, 1983). In order to analyse the data, independent T-Test on gain scores were used. Finding showed from social skills viewpoint, the experimental group significantly higher than the control group. The results indicate that cooperative learning method in comparison with traditional method has more influence on social skills of students.
Cooperative learning and social skills
The purpose of present study is to determine effectiveness of cooperative learning on the social skills of first grade elementary school girl students. The method of this study is quasi-experimental one by pretest-post test with control group. Research measures is rating scale to measure social skills in children. For analyzing the data, dependent sample t-test on gain scores was employed. The findings showed that the experimental group enjoys a significantly higher level of social skill than the control group (p<0.05). The results indicate that cooperative learning method in comparison with traditional method is of a much higher effectiveness on the social skills of students.

Proceedings of the 2nd International Conference on Social, Applied Science, and Technology in Home Economics (ICONHOMECS 2019), 2020
The recording teaching learning process showed that students tended to be passive because of the inappropriate teaching method so that it affected activity and motivation to perform his skill in their language actively in the class. Choosing method to rise the students' activity is a must. It dealt with students'learning outcome and students' activity outcome as well as an effort to create students more understand to the material given. The objective of the research was to know the differences of an effect between class using jigsaw and NHT method towards cognitive learning outcome. Cooperative learning method is one of the choices that can be used in the classroom because there is a benefit to activate and persuade students to work cooperatively naming Jigsaw dan Numbered Head Together (NHT).The observation result of cognitive domain showed that NHT teaching method indicated higher percentage result than jigsaw teaching method in the cooperative field of the group discussion. In addition, responsibility, activity and willing element had higher percentage outcome than NHT teaching method. Based on Comparative result of Jigsaw and NHT average post-test value of cooperative teaching to the class given JIGSAW method was 8,889. Meanwhile, the class given NHT method was 7,702. It can be said that the class given JIGSAW method was higher average than class given NHT method. Big difference of both averages was 8,889. It showed that JIGSAW method was good to increase student cooperative teaching
The present study investigated the effects of the STAD model of cooperative learning (CL) on the achievement of students in the subject of English at the level of elementary. Thirty (30) subjects were selected as the treatment group (experimental group) and another Thirty (30) subjects belonged to the control group (traditional group) for carrying out this study. The data were analyzed by using the SPSS 22 version (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) where the mean score of both the pretest and the posttest was calculated. The effect of the STAD model / technique was compared with the gain score of the control (traditional group), as an experiment. Amidst the data analysis, an independent sample t-test was applied and then the effect of the treatment group was calculated. Significant difference was seen between the scores of the control group and treatment group.

This study aims to determine the effect of cooperative learning model on the fifth grade students' motivation of SD Negeri 2 Puter Kembangabhu-Lamongan in social science learning process. This research uses a quasi-experimental design using Non-equivalent Control Group. The subjects of this research are 40 students of 2 class, that is class V A as experiment class and class V B as control class. The results show that the students who learn social science by using cooperative learning method simultaneously have a better learning motivation than those who learn social science by using conventional learning methods.
In the present study the researchers have tried to explore the effect of cooperative learning-STAD on academic achievement in Chemistry of secondary school students. This is a quasi- experimental study based on simple random design for preparing two groups such as experimental and control group. Total 140 students of class VIII of St. Mary’s school, Bijnor (U.P.) were selected as a sample for the present study. Out of which 70 students were considered in experimental group and were exposed to cooperative learning method while another 70 students were named control group and taught through traditional method (Lecture+Demonstration+Discussion). The students of both the groups were taught one period of 40 minutes per day for 30 days. After that a self made achievement test for chemistry is administered on both the groups. After experimentation Academic achievement test scores were obtained. The data, thus collected, were analyzed through t-test. The results related to this study show that Cooperative learning oriented teaching is significantly effective for increasing the level of Academic achievement in Chemistry.
