Contributions to the bryophyte flora of southeastern Serbia: Suva Planina Mts and its surroundings

Studia Botanica Hungarica, 2009

Altogether 229 bryophyte taxa (25 liverworts and 204 mosses) were collected during a field trip made in 2006 in SE Serbia. The following 11 taxa (3 liverworts and 8 mosses) are recorded for the first time in Serbia: Cephaloziella varians, Conocephalum salebrosum, Scapania cuspiduligera, Bryum algovicum var. compactum, B. lonchocaulon, Cynodontium fallax, Dicranella howei, Grimmia dissimulata, Hypnum procerrimum, Seligeria acutifolia, Zygodon viridissimus. Two species occurring in the investigated area (Pseudoleskea saviana, Taxiphyllum densifolium) are red-listed in Europe and 19 species are included in the preliminary national red list of Serbia.

Contributions to the bryophyte flora of Kopaonik Mts (Serbia, Serbia-Montenegro)

Studia bot. hung, 2004

During field work carried out in July 2002 in Kopaonik Mts (Serbia, Serbia-Montenegro) we col lected 229 bryophyte taxa (48 liverworts and 181 mosses). Among them 19 species are reported for the first time in Serbia. Three species are included in the Red Data Book of European Bryophytes (ECCB 1995); one species in the rare (R) category: Lophozia ascendens, and two (Drepanocladus lycopodioides, Pseudoleskea saviana) are regionally threatened (RT). Key words: bryophyte flora, Kopaonik Mts, red-listed species, Serbia

A contribution to the bryophyte flora of Fruška Gora (Vojvodina, Serbia)

Phytologia balcanica

The bryophyte flora of Fruška Gora Mt, situated in the province of Vojvodina (Northern Serbia), consists to date of 132 bryophyte taxa (118 moss and 14 liverwort species), which account for about 21 % of the bryophyte flora of Serbia and Montenegro. Two mosses are new to Serbia (Entosthodon obtusus and Rhynchostegiella curviseta) and one new for the state of Serbia and Montenegro (Fissidens rivularis). Most of the species present in the investigated area have mesic characteristics and a temperate distribution type (49 %). Oceanicsuboceanic and subboreal species account for 16% and 13 % of the flora respectively.

Studia botanica hungarica, 2019

282 bryophyte taxa (64 liverworts and 218 mosses) were recorded during our fi eld trip to the Prokletije Mts. Two liverworts (Mannia fr agrans, Riccardia incurvata) and ten mosses (Brachytheciastrum collinum, B. dieckii, Bryum violaceum, Fissidens gracilifolius, Orthotrichum shawii, Seligeria trifaria, Sphagnum divinum, Syntrichia subpapillosissima, Tortella fasciculata, T. pseudofr agilis) are recorded for the fi rst time in Montenegro. 45 species have conservation interest; rare in the Balkans or even in Europe and/or candidates of the new European bryophyte red-list.

Towards the Bryophyte Flora of the Sutjeska National Park (The Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina)

ГЛАСНИК ШУМАРСКОГ ФАКУЛТЕТА УНИВЕРЗИТЕТА У БАЊОЈ ЛУЦИ

Old literature data together with recent field research were combined in order to present bryophytechecklist of the Sutjeska National Park. A total of 261 taxa were found within the park area, out of which40 are liverwort and 221 moss taxa. Bearing in mind a huge lack of bryological research in Bosnia andHerzegovina during last decades, 41 species were refound after more than fifty years, and 92 new for thepark area as well. Additionally, seven species are included in the candidate list of the new Red data bookof European bryophytes. These are: Anoectangium aestivum, Buxbaumia viridis, Cinclidotus aquaticus,Fontinalis hypnoides, Orthotrichum patens, Pseudocampylium radicale and Schistidium helveticum.

Bryophyte flora on the northern slopes of Zlatar Mountain (Southwest Serbia)

Archives of Biological Sciences, 2008

This work presents a contribution to knowledge of the bryophyte flora of Zlatar Mountain. A total of 127 taxa from 35 families were identified. The hepatics are represented by 18 and mosses by 109 taxa. Representatives of the Holarctic distribution type and the temperate floristic category are highly present the investigated area.

Contributions to the bryophyte flora of the Mavrovo National Park (Republic of Macedonia)

Studia botanica hungarica, 2016

229 bryophyte taxa (34 liverworts and 195 mosses) were collected in the Mavrovo National Park (Republic of Macedonia). Almost all habitat types maintain diverse bryophyte assemblages containing several species rare on the Balkans or even species of European conservation interest. Th ree species found (Buxbaumia viridis, Grimmia caespiticia, and Pseudoleskea saviana) are included in the Red data book of European bryophytes. Further eight species are on the candidate list of the new Red data book of European bryophytes and ten species can be regarded as rare on the Balkans.
