Purpose of Study: This study aims to examine, analyze, and describe the use of the local wisdom based on learning film in the students of primary education at Universitas Muria Kudus comprising the messages, perspectives of students, and the effects of local wisdom based learning film. Methodology: This research used a qualitative research approach with a research participation pattern and phenomenological strategy. The main informant in this research was the students of the Primary Education Department at Universitas Muria Kudus who took the ethno-learning class. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of thematic teaching materials based on local wisdom values in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV students. This research was conducted in elementary school, Palipi district, Samosir regency. This research method is development research. The subjects of this study were grade IV students of Elementary School, Palipi District, Samosir Regency, which totaled 59 people and were divided into 3 classes. In general, teaching materials and learning processes tend to be teacher-centered, while students only listen to what is conveyed by the teacher. So that the teaching materials used have less impact on improving student learning outcomes. From that tendency, researchers took the basis of research on students of Grade V Elementary School in North Aceh Regency with the aim to produce thematic teaching materials products based on local wisdom that are in accordance with the demands of KD / KI in the 2013 curriculum, further to find out the practicality of local wisdom-based thematic teaching materials that have been developed; and to find out the effectiveness of thematic teaching materials based on local wisdom that has been developed. In the 2013 curriculum, elementary schools are carried out with integrated thematic learning. This study aims to analyze the integrated thematic learning activities of grade III. The research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The research informant was one grade III teacher. The subjects in this study were 19 grade III students. Data was collected at SD Negeri 2 Soborejo using interviews, observations, and documentation. The data validity techniques used are the Credibility Test and the Confirmability Test. In researchers, a credibility test was carried out using increased persistence in research, triangulation techniques and member checks. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of meaningful learning in the outing class program for sixth-grade students with the theme of plant as a source of life. This research adopts a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data for the study were obtained through participatory observation and interviews involving both teachers and students. The findings of this study revealed the presence of five indicators of meaningful learning (active, constructive, intentional, authentic, and cooperative) observed during the outing class activities, which were carried out in three stages: planning stage involving permission, activity design, and the design of participation observation sheets; implementation stage encompassing student conditioning, observation/knowledge construction, and content reinforcement; and evaluation stage. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that thematic learning conducted outside the classroom through the outing class program for sixth-grade students with the theme of plant as a source of life can provide a more meaningful learning experience by actively engaging students in observing the natural environment.
