Dunia kerja merupakan tempat, lembaga, institusi atau perusahaan dimana seseorang melakukan sesuatu untuk mencari nafkah. Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kesuksesan di dunia kerja, antara lain passion, brain, beauty, disiplin, behaviour dan motivasi. Motivasi merupakan serangkaian sikap dan nilainilai yang mempengaruhi individu untuk mencapai hal yang spesifik sesuai tujuan seseorang. Sedangkan kesuksesan didefiniskan sebagai keberhasilan atau keberuntungan. Motivasi sukses dalam dunia kerja sangat diperlukan karena akan mendorong seseorang untuk lebih mengoptimalkan kemampuan di dunia kerja. Lulusan SMK di desain untuk siap terjun di dunia kerja, selepas bangku sekolah. Sehingga menjadi hal yang sangat penting untuk menumbuhkan motivasi sukses di dunia kerja pada siswa SMK.

Facilities and education costs mostly cause the availability of higher education for rural communities. These problems cause higher education not to be achieved for rural communities, especially in Margosari Village, Central Lampung District. Preliminary data from observations show that the level of higher education is still below the average number. The advanced level of the village economy does not support education, so the average population still receives secondary education. This community service activity aims to provide motivation and education about higher education. The techniques used in this activity are survey, face-to-face and discussion techniques. The survey results found a high motivation for young people in the village to continue their studies. Affirmation students are students who have the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP), in this case they are students with poor economic condition. This study aims to determine the profile of critical thinking disposition of class XII students in one of the state high schools in the City of Sukabumi. The study used a descriptive quantitative approach and a purposive sampling technique to generate 31 students of the population. Written tests applied for collecting critical thinking data. The test consisted of 14 questions of a critical thinking disposition test with a reliability value of 0.79, a standard deviation of 10.93, and a correlation score of 0.65. There were seven indicators of critical thinking disposition include Maturity, Truth-seeking, Analysis, Systematic, Open Mind, Self-confidence, and curiosity. The results showed that the average value of students' critical thinking disposition was 27,.98% indicating that they come into a less category. Motif siswa merupakan dorongan atau kekuatan yang ada dalam diri siswa, dorongan ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal untuk melanjutkan studi yang menunjang keberhasilan siswa di perguruan tinggi. Masalah penelitian adalah gambaran motif siswa dan faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa SMA Negeri melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi di kabupaten Aceh Singkil. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran motif siswa dan faktor yang mempengaruhi siswa melanjutkan studi ke perguruan tinggi. Pendekatan penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian 950 siswa, sampel penelitian adalah 281 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah angket. ABSTRAK Hidup dalam kondisi yang serba kekurangan menjadi kesulitan tersendiri bagi siswa yang berasal dari keluarga yang mengalami kemiskinan, sehingga banyak siswa yang memutuskan untuk tidak melanjutkan pendidikan terutama ke tingkat Perguruan Tinggi. Dalam mencapai tujuan di masa depan, untuk menghadapi kesulitan dibutuhkan individu yang percaya diri dan mampu mempertahankan usahanya. Optimisme didefinisikan sebagai keyakinan secara umum (generalized expectancy) bahwa akan terjadi sesuatu yang positif (positive outcomes) di masa depan, hal ini mengacu pada ekspektasi seseorang mengenai hasil yang diterimanya. Seseorang akan bertahan dengan melanjutkan usaha agar bisa mendapatkan hasil tersebut, hal ini didasarkan pada kepercayaan diri yang mereka miliki meskipun mereka mengalami kesulitan atau hambatan untuk mencapainya (Scheier & Carver, 1985). Penelitian ini dilakukan kepada 57 siswa kelas XII SMAN Jatinangor yang berasal dari keluarga dengan status ekonomi rendah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kuantitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner optimisme yang mengacu pada teori Scheier & Carver (1985). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 94,7% siswa memiliki tingkat optimisme dalam melanjutkan ke Perguruan Tinggi yang tinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun siswa mengalami kesulitan ekonomi, mereka memiliki confident dan persistent yang tinggi terkait dengan melanjutkan ke Perguruan Tinggi karena mereka memiliki pengalaman, pengetahuan, dan mampu mempertahankan usahanya dalam melanjutkan ke Perguruan Tinggi.
