Severe preeclampsia is an increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 160 mmHg, or diastolic blood pressure of more than 110 mmHg, supported by the results of a protein lab examination > 5gr / 24 jam. In developed countries the incidence of severe preeclampsia ranges from 6-7% and eclampsia 0.1-0.7%. At the hospital dr. Slamet Garut in 2021 recorded 361 cases of severe preeclampsia, ranking 2nd as a factor causing maternal death with a percentage of 21%. The purpose of writing this thesis is to determine the characteristics of patients with severe preeclampsia in RSUD dr. Slamet Garut in 2022 by using research methods is quantitative methods. The target population is mothers who give birth at RSUD dr Slamet in 2022. The number of samples is 78 people. Data collection using medical records. The stages in the statistical analysis used are univariable. The results will be showed that 44 people (56%) were not at risk between 20-35 years old and 46 people (54%). Thus, severe preeclampsia was more common in the group of mothers with age not at risk and in the group of mothers with parity at risk.
