Kesenian senjang yang merupakan salah satu seni tradisi khas masyarakat Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin. Tradisi lisan ini awalnya merupakan sebuah ungkapan hati seseorang yang dikemas dalam bentuk pertunjukan seni. Kesenian Senjang banyak berkembang di wilayah Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin, antara lain di Kecamatan Sungai Keruh, Kecamatan Babat Toman, Kecamatan Sanga Desa, dan Kecamatan Sekayu. Masing-masing wilayah memiliki kekhasan iramanya sendiri-sendiri. Meski kesenian Senjang populer di wilayah Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin dan para pelantunnya pun mayoritas berasal dari wilayah tersebut, tetapi tidak dapat dipastikan bahwa Kesenian Senjang berasal dari daerah ini. Sebab, Kesenian Senjang juga tumbuh dan berkembang di daerah lainnya di bagian hulu Sungai Musi. Senjang adalah salah satu bentuk media seni budaya yang menghubungkan antara orang tua dan generasi muda, serta antara masyarakat dan pemerintah. Tradisi Lisan Aceh dalam Intat Linto (Antar Pengantin): Pantun Seumapa

Seumapa rhymes is an oral tradition in Aceh whose contents are related to marital problems. In other words, this rhyme is a rhyme delivered by the linto baro and dara baro parties at the wedding procession. This pantun is still an Acehnese tradition, although the rules are not as strict as before. The rhyme is started by the singer from the side of the linto baro as a guest, namely greeting the dara baro as the host that the linto baro group has arrived. Furthermore, answered by the virgin baro. And so on until the linto baro is allowed to enter the arena of the wedding party or to the house to eat the next meal. This study aims to reveal in depth the contents of the "seumapa" pantun. To describe the rhyme, the author uses a descriptive qualitative method. In addition, this study also uses an objective approach because it focuses on literary texts.
Pantun Pada Seni Pertunjukan Beroyal Dalam Bimbang Pernikahan Suku Melayu DI Desa Pasar Bembah

Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan proses dan makna beroyal pada bimbang pernikahan suku Melayu di Desa Pasar Bembah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif etnografi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara kepada informan yang memiliki pengetahuan dan pemahaman mengenai tradisi beroyal pada masyarakat Pasar Bembah. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Desa Pasar Bembah Kecamatan Air Napal Bengkulu Utara. Analisis data dilakukan melalui, penerjemahan, pengelompokkan, pemaknaan, penafsiran, dan penyimpulan. Hasil penelitian bahwa dalam pertunjukan beroyal dilaksanakan sebelum pesta pernikahan yang berupa berbalas pantun antar pemuda-pemudi yang diiringi alat musik kecapi, biola, dan ketipung yang dimainkan oleh ibu-ibu atau bapak-bapak. Beroyal memiliki makna penghubung antar pemudapemudi dengan berpantun. Pantun yang disampaikan bermakna nasihat-nasihat tentang kehidupan, sindiran, nilai-nilai dalam bermasyarakat, ekonomi dan lain sebagainya. Tujuannya adalah mempererat tali silahturahmi antar pemuda-pemudi dan ajang pencarian jodoh. Namun tidak menghilangkan aspek kesopanan dan sesuai dendan ajaran agama.

The goal of this research is to evaluate how the description of the bride Malay Ujungbatu Riau's indigenous culture affecting the progress of civic culture. Makalah ini menyelami dasar kesenian bernuansa Islam dan perkembangannya dalam suku Melayu Minangkabau di Sumatera Barat. Tumpuan diberikan terhadap berzanji, dikia rabano, salawat dulang, dan indang kerana merupakan genre-genre identiti kesenian Islam dalam masyarakat tersebut. Data analisis diperoleh daripada tinjauan lapangan dan temubual intensif dengan para seniman dan masyarakat pendokong genre-genre kesenian ini di beberapa buah negeri (kampung) dalam Provinsi Sumatra Barat, Indonesia, selama kira-kira dua minggu, dari 3 Jun hingga 19 Jun 2010. Kajian ini mendapati genre-genre kesenian Islami itu pada mulanya berkembang di surau malah identitinya adalah sinonim dengan surau. Jantung hati kesenian ini adalah Syattariyah yang merupakan amalan masyarakat Minang amnya. Kesenian ini turut mengalami perkembangan, seiringan dengan perkembangan sosiobudaya masyarakat umumnya. Sejak awal akhir abad ke-19, seiringan dengan pengukuhan doktrin "adat bersendi syarak, syarak bersendi kitabullah," muncul versi kesenian Islami dalam bentuk budaya-rakyat (folk-culture). Kemudian, seiringan dengan kepesatan modenisasi dalam bidang ekonomi, politik, pendidikan dan sosiobudaya yang berkebetulan berlaku pada era pengenalan Orde Baru (1960an dan 1970-an) maka muncul pula versi kesenian Islami berbentuk budayapopular. Sementara versi asalnya yang identitas dengan surau masih utuh, muncul dua versi baru iaitu bernuansa Islam yang mempunyai unsur-unsur/ pengaruh budaya-rakyat dan budaya-popular. Oleh itu, walaupun berlaku perubahan namun kesemua versi kesenian Islami itu masih kuat mempertahankan unsur-unsur konservatif dan Islam. Unsur-unsur inilah menjadi teras dinamika kesenian Islami di Sumatera Barat.

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan proses, fungsi, dan makna pantun bersahut dalam seni pertunjukan adat pernikahan di Kecamatan Kaur Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, sedangkan metode yang digunakan adalah metode etnografi. Data penelitian ini didapat dari pengamatan langsung , dokumentasi, dan wawancara secara mendalam kepada informan. Bentuk Penyajian Kesenian Calempong Oguang Pada Acara Pernikahan di Sialang Kapur IX Lima Puluh Kota

This This study aims to describe and find out about the form of presentation of Calempong Oguang art to the Sialang community. This type of research is a qualitative research with a descriptive analysis method approach. Types of data using primary data and secondary data. The main instrument is the researcher himself and assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and cellphones. Data collection techniques were carried out by means of literature studies, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis steps are data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The results of the study suggest that the form of presentation of the Calempong Oguang art to the Sialang community at weddings is in front of the house using the arena stage model. In this wedding event, songs were played at night: 1) Tigo-Tigo songs, 2) Lang Lalu songs, 3) Sandayuang songs, 4) Kaja Bakaja songs and others which began after the Isha prayer was finished around 08.00 WIB until dawn in the morning. The presentation of Calempong Oguang played by parents (male and female) in the form of a mixed ensemble aims to entertain the mothers who are cooking and the invited guests so they can relieve fatigue when preparing food for tomorrow's wedding day. With the sounds of Calempong Oguang songs, it is able to create a happy atmosphere and can bring closer ties with family and guests who come to the house.

The aisle is a form of traditional ceremonial equipment used in the wedding ceremony. For the Minangkabau people, decoration is created as an expression of taste related to the natural surroundings. In its creation, Minangkabau ornaments are also inseparable from the influence of outside cultures that come into contact with Indonesian culture. One of the cultures that come into contact with Indonesia is Chinese culture through commercial media and so on. This study aims to identify Chinese culture that influences the visual aspects of the Minangkabau cultural aisle. The method used is descriptive qualitative and the parameters used are aesthetic theory studies and cultural transformation studies. The analysis process is carried out in two stages, namely by grouping and visual analysis. The findings of this study explain that as far as this research is concerned, Chinese culture has a major influence on the visual aspects of Minangkabau wedding decorations.
Budaya Melayu dan Pengaruh Islam dalam Upacara Pernikahan di Tanjung Balai

This study aims to find out how the series of traditional wedding ceremonies of the Tanjung Balai Malay tribe and what are the Islamic values contained in it and to understand how the relationship between Islam in each wedding procession and what are the meanings contained in it. This research uses qualitative research methods, and this research can be categorized as field research. The resulting data sources are in the form of primary and secondary data, the writing method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, namely research to provide geographical conditions for certain communities. The results of the study explained that from the various processions of the traditional ceremonies of the Tanjung Balai Malay wedding reception, not all of them were based on Islamic law, but followed the hereditary customs of the Malay people that have existed since ancient times. The traditional ceremonies based on Islamic law include merisik, proposal, delivery/offering, ijab qabul, khatam kaji and parade.
