Objective: During the physical therapy education, if we can understand the student's attitude then we can make valuable suggestions with respect to the teaching in the universities and professional employment in the country. The aim of the current study is to develop a questionnaire to test the physical therapy students' attitudes towards their education and profession and to test its test-retest reliability and content validity. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: A total of 47 physical therapy students who were in their final year were randomly selected to participate in the study. After the making of the questionnaire, it was given to 6 professional experts teaching in the field of physical therapy to obtain their responses for each question with a 5-point Likert scale grading. Their answers were used in making the content validity of the questionnaire. Afterwards, the physical therapy students were asked to fill the questionnaire. Instrument reliability and test-retest reliability were also assessed by having the students complete the questionnaire after one month of taking the questionnaire. Results: The content validity index was 0.71 for the whole scale and values of individual subdivisions were ranging from 0.69 to 0.75. Instrument reliability measured by Cronbach's alpha coefficient was 0.86 for the whole scale and subdivision values were ranging from 0.32 to 0.86. Test-retest reliability was assessed by intraclass correlation coefficient, which was 0.71 for whole scales and subdivision values were ranging from 0.38 to 0.70. Conclusions: This questionnaire, which assesses the physical therapy student attitude towards their education and profession, has good content validity, instrument reliability, and test-retest reliability.

Background: The quality of medical teaching can be refined based on the attitude of the students towards their clinical and teaching environment. The objective was to determine student attitudes towards their profession and education in Punjab. Methodology: This cross-sectional survey was conducted from 20th July to December 2021 after taking ethical approval. The data was collected through an online google document from physical therapy undergraduates and post graduates from different institutes of Punjab. Finding student’s satisfaction is the current trend in the world universities. The majority of curricula are modified as per the student’s satisfaction results. The major aim of this study was to determine the student’s satisfaction of Physical Therapy during their practical sessions at the university and clinical sessions at hospitals. Total 181 students (84 men and 97 women) in four levels of Physical Therapy participated in this study. The students were evaluated on the questionnaire for their satisfaction in physical therapy practical sessions at the university level and clinical training in hospitals. The questionnaire data was analyzed employing descriptive statistics, student t test and ANOVA. Assessment of the degree of satisfaction of physical therapy students with the academic experience
Introduction: The demand for higher education in Brazil has grown in recent decades, leading to teaching, pedagogical and structural changes in the public and private education sectors. Assessments of academic experience evaluate the quality of services provided within the fields of learning, relationships and infrastructure. Objective: To assess the degree of satisfaction with their academic experience of students from all years of the undergraduate physical therapy course. Materials and Methods: Cross-sectional research with 137 students from four years of the physical therapy course. The Scale of Satisfaction with Academic Experience was used, which contains 35 questions and is divided into three dimensions. This study assessed doctor of physical therapy (DPT) students’ perceptions of the educational environment at public and private physical therapy institutes in Pakistan. This cross-sectional study was conducted at 6 physical therapy institutions in Punjab, Pakistan from April 2018 to December 2019. In total, 500 Dundee Ready Educational Environment Measure (DREEM) questionnaires were distributed among DPT students identified through convenience sampling (response rate, 86.4%). The correlations between each item of the DREEM score were analyzed. The mean overall DREEM score was 128±19.63 for all 5 subscales (range, 33 to 166; standard error of the mean, 0.954). The correlations of atmosphere, learning, and self-perception with the overall educational environment were r=0.896, r=0.853, and r=0.846, respectively. Student-centered approaches were found to be more effective than teacher-centered approaches for promoting a positive educational environment.
Physiotherapy students’ expectations and career choice in Turkey

The purpose of this study was to determine physiotherapy students' perceptions and expectations related to their physiotherapy profession and education. Method: Two hundred and thirty two students (68 were first-year students, 72 were second-year students, 57 were third-year students, and 35 were fourth-year students) who were studying in the School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation of Dokuz Eylül University in the 2012-2013 academic year and who accepted to participate in the research were consisted in the sample of the study. Students were aware of their future profession: 73.5% of first-year students, 63.8% of second-year students, 59.6% of third-year students, and 57.1% of fourth-year students. Reasons for preferring physiotherapy were community perception and career opportunities. More than 92% of the students declared they were positively affected by acquaintances and friends in choosing physiotherapy. Results: Analyzed in terms of years of education, there were no differences between students' rights and responsibility levels, in terms of their vocational anxiety and knowledge levels. The major numbers of students had adequate information about physiotherapy profession and they did not have worries about finding a job after graduation. Conclusion: Main factors for student's decision to study physiotherapy were their career expectations and community perception.
Satisfaction Level of Physiotherapy Students in North India
Background: Physiotherapy or physical therapy is one of the allied health services that is used to improve patient's quality of life without use of drugs. This service helps in restoration and improvement of function by applying manual therapy, physical modalities, therapeutic exercises and hydrotherapy etc. Study Design: A Randomized Survey Design. Objectives: To find out satisfaction level among physiotherapy students of North India. Method: Total 161 students from Physiotherapy colleges of North India, voluntary participated in the study among which 55 were male and 106 were female. Inclusion criteria were students of third-year and fourthyear of Bachelor of Physiotherapy degree; both male and female with age limit 19-24 years. First-year and second-year students, Postgraduate students, interns and professionals were excluded from the study. Results: Average score of DREEM Questionnaire was 127. In the questionnaire, there were five questions (i.e. 1, 2, 10, 18 & 19) that scored highest value and showed high satisfaction rate. Total 142 students (88.19%) were happy to choose this particular field while 19 students (11.18%) were unhappy. Conclusion: Out of 161 students, 142 students (88.19%) were happy to choose Physiotherapy field. Physiotherapy students of North India have high satisfaction level towards Physiotherapy course.
It is important to determine the attitudes of physical education teacher candidates who will carry out physical education courses in secondary and high schools and classroom teacher candidates who will carry out physical education courses in primary schools. The purpose of this study is to determine the attitudes of physical education and classroom teacher candidates towards teaching profession. The research was evaluated with a general survey model. The research group consisted of totally 280 teacher candidates; 168 of them study at School of Physical Education and Sports in Physical Education and Sports Teaching Department, 122 of them study at the Faculty of Education Primary School Teaching Department in the 2017-2018 academic year Hatay Mustafa Kemal University in Turkey. As data collection tools Personal Information Form developed by the researchers and the "Attitude Scale Toward Teaching (ASTT)" developed by Erkus (2000) et al. were used. In the statistical analysis of the data, t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used. In the result of the research, it was determined that the attitudes of physical education and classroom teacher candidates towards teaching profession were high, but it was found that physical education teacher candidates had higher attitudes than classroom teacher candidates.
