Review of Climate Change Impacts on Human Environment: Past, Present and Future Projections, 2021
Climate changes are one of the most significant aspects, which cause a threat to all human beings living on the planet Earth. Climate changes could happen due to both natural internal processes and external forcing, or due to persistent anthropogenic changes. The identified drastic temperature changes, increase in the emitted greenhouse gasses, and sea-level changes as witnessed from the acquired data; such as from ice cores, during the past centuries and even decades are all due to climate changes. Due to the increase in the emitted greenhouse gasses, major sectors in the Earth will be hit severely, such as agriculture and industry. Human welfare and health services will consequently suffer and development, in general, is going to be hampered. Large parts of the Earth will be unfavorable for living due to different reasons; such as inundation by seawater, decrease in temperature; however, some scientists believe that the increase in the percentages of the emitted greenhouse gasses has decreased or delayed the possibility of starting a new ice age. We have presented all possible scenarios, which may happen due to climate changes including temperature changes, emitted greenhouse gasses, sea level, and other harsh effects not only on human beings but all other living animal and plant species.
ABSTRACT Climate change is one of the major uprising issues in the world and it's making the tension between the scientists, policy makers, and common people. Climate change also called global warming, refers to the increase in average surface temperatures on Earth. An overwhelming scientific consensus upholds that climate change is due primarily to the human use of fossil fuels, which releases carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the air. The gases trap heat within the atmosphere, which can have a range of effects on ecosystems, including rising sea levels, severe weather events, and droughts that render landscapes more susceptible to wildfires. Their fear mainly on the impact of the climate change on the different species and its impact on future generations. Due to the variability in the climate nowadays temperature is increasing some regions of the globe more than average temperature, some regions having the heavy Rainfall and some regions having the heavy droughts. Its impact on human beings and animals are very high, and increasing the food insecurity across the world. The present study discusses mainly on the Various Factors contributions to the climate change; the consequence of climate change on human beings. Keywords: climate, global warming, temperature
Global climate change: A culprit for the deterioration of nature and human life
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ADVANCES IN MULTI-DISCIPLINARY SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING RESEARCH: ICAMSER-2021
In this review article, an attempt has been made to study the global impacts of the climatic uncertainties on the environment and human health. The principal factors responsible for global climate change are also highlighted in brief. It has been reported in the literature, that the mean temperature of worldwide atmosphere may rise from 1.8-4.0 o C in the running centaury. Moreover, 1°C increase in the temperature could increase 1-4% of mortality along with some adverse consequences such as water shortage, crop crisis, unemployment, green house gases concentration etc. Therefore, in order to preserve the global environment and human life, it is imperative to explore the alternative options even in changing climates. The present study explores the possibilities of minimizing the negative effects of climate change on ecological system and human health by adopting the principles of sustainability.
Climate Change and Their Anthropogenic Causes
Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research), 2022
Global warming or global changes includes climatic and ecological problems such as recent apparent climatic temperature shifts and precipitation regimes in some areas, sea level rise, ozone depletion, atmospheric pollution and forest decline. Every human on the planet shares the responsibility of preserving its resources. All these changes in turn have caused land cover change and habitat loss to a great extent and have resulted in loss of biodiversity. The negative effect of climate change on crop shows decline in quality and quantity of crop productivity. Climate change draw attention to the relationship between science and society, challenges global issues and triggers new social movements.
A Comprehensive Study of Climate Change and their Corresponding Impacts on Environment and Lives
In recent decades climate change has become a major threat for our planet due to anthropogenic global warming interconnecting with environmental and other social determinants, constituting an extreme risk of health for every life on earth. The ecology of the earth is facing very bad effects such as inappropriate timing of the monsoon, health risk to the human beings, increasing temperature of the earth, increasing water level of the ocean, missing of some small and even bigger species from ecology, and many more due to climate change. Some major reasons such as decrement in the number of trees and forests and huge emissions of greenhouse gases such as CO2 and chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) are the main factors of climate change. This paper is presented to demonstrate the background of climate change, and its corresponding impacts on the environment and every species on our planet. We cover a wide range of surveys of the research articles published on this issue in the last two decades. This article provides an overview and deep insights of some major reasons behind the evolution of this problem and as well as illustrates some important steps taken towards the reduction of this extreme problem.
CLIMATE CHANGE - ITS CONSEQUENCE AND INTERNATIONAL RESPONSE
Climate change is a change atmospheric circulation or meteorological change in climate that persists over a long period of time (30 Year). Climate change refers to change in global surface temperature, change in pattern and intensity of rainfall and change in the extreme weather events. Climate change is the results of both natural as well as human causes like change in sun outputs, volcanic activities, and emission of green house gases by various human activities. It has become main global challenge and represents a unique security threat for us. Climate change is a change in climate cycle due to rise in mean global temperature caused by increasing amount of green house gases like carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, carbon mono oxide, colorofloro carbon and methane in the atmosphere. Increasing population and human activities like rapid industrialization urbanization and burning of fossil fuel change in land use pattern and development of the modern mode of transportation etc. are added further GHGs in environment. Secondly in other side depletion of forest by extension of agricultural activities leads to the decrease in the sink or consumption of 𝐶𝑂2. Therefore due
An Overview of Climate Change Causes, Trends and Implications
Global climate change is the most troublesome hindrance that the world is currently facing in its struggle for existence. Earth’s climatic systems are one of the most dynamic and complex systems which still have not been properly understood. Th e present climates and their elements are far diff erent from the past, introducing newer complexities within the climatic sciences. It is of no doubt that, climate change is entirely a natural process, the examples of which can be drawn from the ice ages, but the anthropogenic side cannot be ignored. In fact, humans act as moderating factor through their everyday activities which somehow attempt to introduce desired modifi cations in natural climatic processes. Th us, the concept of Global Warming has evolved. A clear distinction between climate change and global warming is utmost necessary. Lots of evidences of climate change and global warming have already been recorded through modern instrumentation, historical temperature analyses, global precipitation studies etc. A number of events prior to climate change have already been seen, like the melting of glaciers, coral bleaching, tree line shift ing, sea level rising, and erratic precipitation patterns. Climate and their elements no doubt are the most important determinants of all type of life forms on the earth. Th is chapter marks the train of thoughts followed by man, not only in the path of realization of the climate change, but also its modifi cations in the form of global warming which caused people to question their environmentally harmful intentions and activities. It gradually moves on to focus on the advent of ideas regarding the safeguard of the environment in order to mitigate climate change, to the current trends being followed all over the world to bring the change under control. Th e discussion about its implications is inevitable, particularly in case of agriculture and crop production which supports the entire mankind. Climate Change at a Global Concept: Impacts and Adaptation Measures
International Journal of Environment and Climate Change, 2024
Climate change is a global concern and has affected all nations. Daily observations, scientific analyses, projections and recommendations on climate change and its global impacts, are needed at all levels of human and environmental development. This is important because of the conviction that approximately 3.3 to 3.6 billion people are highly vulnerable to climate change. Climate change has reduced food security, affected water quality and soil security, increased sea and land temperature, caused human mortality, caused soil damage through various kinds of erosion, increased flooding, and hindered efforts to achieve sustainable development goals. Climate change affects the global health, the global population and the global economy. This paper provides a general overview of the ideas and knowledge on concept of global climate change and maintains that climate change adaptation is required because of the increasing catastrophic events, which have reduced the quality of human life in all aspects (environment, health, economy, biodiversity). It has been suggested that global climate change research and development can help support advanced adaptation/mitigation measures.
