Purpose: Covid 19 attack on global level has thrown many challenges to many sectors and business is not an exception here. It has shaken the economies of developed, underdeveloped, and developing countries. The aim of this study is identify how companies can adapt their marketing policies and strategies during the COVID-19 crisis. We discuss the effects of COVID-19 on consumer behaviour and elaborate on the consequences of this disruption for marketing strategies. Methodology: In completing this study, a qualitative analysis method was carried out. This research was to analysed the finding from the previous research in area marketing. This paper identifies various policies and strategic options that businesses are presently using. Result and Discussion: From previous studies, this crisis shows similarities with changes in consumer behaviour and the way marketing is conducted during economic downturns. However, it also displays different features of down cycles, such as the accelerated transition of use between categories and the accelerated transition from offline to online behaviour especially for Malaysians. Conclusion and Recommendation: This pandemic era offers many opportunities for marketers to demonstrate their value for companies which either are hurt by COVID-19 or are doing well by facilitating how we deal with the unprecedented situation caused by this pandemic. The same holds for marketing researchers who study transient and permanent effects of COVID-19 on consumer behaviour and how marketing strategies and marketing policies can be adapted by company.

The Impact of the Covid-19 Pandemic on Retail Consumer Behavior

The COVID-19 pandemic that occurred throughout 2020 has an impact on economic sector. Consumers tend to use online channels to reduce face-to-face contact with marketers or other consumers. On the other hand, the consumer's need to see, touch and feel a product directly is only available in physical stores. This study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on retail consumer behavior. This study uses quantitative methods with secondary data sources obtained from several countries including the United States, England, Germany, France, Canada and Latin America. The results show that the shopping trends during the COVID-19 pandemic are webrooming and pure online shopping. Retail sales data in these countries shows that retail sales in physical stores exceed 70% of total retail sales and retail e-commerce sales are less than 30% of total retail sales. This research is expected to be useful for marketers in improving retail marketing strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the world is facing historical challenges without prior preparation. Because of the unavoidable economic crisis for the shutdown of numerous trade and industrial activities the COVID-19 pandemic has triggered substantial modifications in the habits of consumers all over the world. The pandemic has led to key changes in consumers purchasing and consumption behavior as the result of lockdown, social distancing, and uncertainty about the future due to its infectious nature. This study investigated the impact of the pandemic outbreak on consumers' purchasing and consumption behavior in a developing country such as Bangladesh. An online survey was conducted for collecting data about the changes in buying behavior through a structured questionnaire. The research targeted 200 respondents belonging to different age-gender segments, qualifications & occupations, and household monthly income. The 191 completed responses had received and analyzed among 200 distributed structured questionnaires. The Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM) method was applied, with the Smart PLS software v.3.3.2 for analyzing the proposed theoretical model and to test the developed hypotheses. The outcomes of the research strongly indicate that the health and safety concern, imposed restrictions, financial condition, surrounding environment-people, and other realities caused a remarkable change in consumer buying behavior. The outcomes of this study provide significant guidance to policy interventions, marketing decisions, and strategies for doing business as usual during and after the pandemic and perhaps add to the understanding of this unprecedented and ongoing phenomenon.
Effect of COVID-19 on consumer behavior in the corporate sector

The coronavirus pandemic has made the longest lockdown ever in the world in history. This pandemic has affected all the human health, food chains, international businesses, companies, global economy as well as it impacts on the behaviour of the consumers. As all the offline stores were closed during the lockdown, a large number of consumers are using online stores to fulfil their needs. In that pandemic situation, purchasing of most products from online stores increased about 6-10% in all over the world. Therefore, the pandemic has increased the use of digital platforms and consumer behaviour has a large impact of covid19. Consumer behaviour helps the marketers to gain knowledge about the expectations of the customers and it makes successful business as the organization provides products according to the customers’ needs. Therefore, consumer behaviour led to an impact of making successful business.

We discuss the effects of COVID-19 on consumer behaviour and elaborate on the consequences of this disruption for marketing strategies and marketing policies. The crisis shows similarities with changes in consumer behaviour and the way marketing is carried out during economic downturns. However, it also displays characteristics which differ from downcycles, such as shifts in consumption between categories and the accelerated shift from offline to online behaviour. This is forced by the re-evaluation of life priorities by final consumers.

The current COVID-19 pandemic has affected every aspect of consumer behavior—their expenses, investments, and financial reserves, as well as their financial and social wellbeing. As a consequence of different restrictions, consumers and their shopping patterns have changed significantly; thus, the factors that influence new purchase patterns need to be identified to help traders, retailers, and marketers develop appropriate strategies to respond to crucial consumer changes in the market. A categorical analysis (Pearson’s chi-square test) and correspondence analysis (simple and multivariate) were applied to a sample of 425 Slovak respondents to reveal the most important factors impacting consumers’ financial situations, as well as the effects on the maintenance of new shopping habits established during the pandemic period.
