This research aims to determine and analyze the character values contained in the textbooks of Islamic Education for V grade in Islamic Elementary School. The method used in this research was a content analysis method with a qualitative approach. The source of research data is the PAI (Pendidikan Agama Isam) textbook for Madrasah Ibtidaiyah which is divided into four books, namely Akidah Akhlak, Qur'an Hadith, Fikih, and Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam. The results showed that there are main character values in each book, namely Religius, Nationalis, Mandiri, Gotong Royong, and Integritas scattered throughout the books. Meanwhile, the most dominant character value that appears is Religius with its sub value "Hubungan individu dengan Tuhan". Then, other character values such as Nasionalis and Mandiri are still not widely published in this PAI textbook. The aim of this research is to find out a content analysis of character values in the English students’ textbooks for senior high school 10th grade, 11th grade and 12th grade and the dominant differences of character from all the books. This research employed qualitative method by using content analysis. For this research mainly character values in the textbooks was carried out. The data in this research were all passages that taken from the three English sudents’ textbooks for senior high school. This research used observation check list as the instruments to evaluate coursebooks in an effective and practical way. The researcher has analyzed the data based character values found on the three books. And all of the dominants character values that the researcher were found.

This study was descriptive-qualitative approach using content analysis. The data used in this study were in the forms of texts in the textbook. Some steps were undertaken during the data collection: reading the texts carefully, understanding specific parts related to the research focus intensively, marking certain parts related to the research focus, making a description of the data and inserting the data into the table. The subjects were 10 texts in English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris untuk SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Kelas X. The objects were the 18 characters described by Kemendiknas. This research is focused on content analysis of character education potrayed in English texbooks based on the Indonesia 2013 curriculum to find out the types of character education values in English textbooks and how educational character values were included into English textbooks for secondary schools. In fact, moral degradation among the youth in the modern era is becoming trends. Therefore, in this study, researchers want to focus on content analysis of character education potrayed in English texbooks based on the Indonesia 2013 curriculum based on 18 character values issued by Indonesian government. The rapid development of digital technology with its likely disruptive impacts on students’ morality and character necessitates teachers to reorient their roles. Teachers need to be skillful in incorporating moral messages and character education in their teaching supported by suitable learning resources. The current research is conducted to fulfill the needs of the English teachers in Islamic junior secondary schools in Indonesia for supplementary materials that can support the integration of Islamic moral messages and values in the teaching of English. These needs were identified from data collected through questionnaires, FGDs, and interviews. The supplementary materials, which were designed based on the needs analysis, underwent expert validation and a pilot study. The final version of the materials consists of ready-to-use-worksheets and teacher's guide and is named the Islamic Life Resource Pack (ILRP).

The aim of this research is to know the content value and character in textbook of Islamic Religious Education and Character on Junior High School. This study aims to determine students’ needs in learning materials by integrating Islamic values into English. This study used quantitative method. The participants were eighth-grade students, consisting of 29 students. This study employed a close-ended questionnaire divided into three sections: organization of the learning material, learning content, and learners' characteristics. Data were analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques. The results indicated that there are three characteristics of the students' needs. They were the organization materials, the content materials, and learners’ characteristics. Islamic Values in Language Textbooks Published by the State Textbook Authorities in Pakistan

Textbooks are the only source of information to pupils in Pakistani classrooms and they rely on these textbooks to find accurate and authentic information. English and Urdu Textbooks in Pakistan are to teach pupils language and to communicate to them a set of values (Islamic) as conceptualized by the state in its curriculum documents. This study chose texts from English and Urdu textbooks that were related, directly or indirectly, with Islamic values. The qualitative content analysis method was used to analyze the selected stories against the criteria derived from the curriculum documents, textbooks and earlier studies. This study found the values portrayed through Islamic lenses and was set in family-focused settings. The characters in the stories also communicated to pupils the importance of family in Islam and what value to practice in an Islamic family and society.

The curriculum of 2013 places spiritual attitudes as the first competencies from core competencies and social attitudes as the second. This indicates that a spiritual and social attitude is needed to survive in the 21st century. Therefore, this study was held with the aim to develop science teaching materials with integrated character of the Qur'anic verses that valid and effective criteria. The type of research that used in this research is adapted from Thiagarajan’s developing model which focused on defining, designing, and developing stages. The instruments used are validation sheets for expert judgement and student response questionnaires to collect spiritual character of the students. Based on the results of the study, the science teaching materials with Islamic character interpretations meet the valid criteria with the validity of RPP = 3.37, modules = 3.23 and LKS = 3.51.
