ONLINE TEACHING DURING THE PANDEMIC COVID 19: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES

Due to COVID 19 Pandemic the schools and colleges are closed. In this situation due to lockdown imposed by the govermment the remaining syllabus is covered by all the teachers through online teaching. Due to the advanced technologv a lot of options are available nowadays to the teachers to complete the remaining svllabus through various modes like zoom, Google classroom, Video conferencing, Google team, H hats.pp. you rube videos, etc. According to the covenience and resources of the teachers and studenis teachers are using these apps for completing the left-over syllabus. Looking into the status of the lifethreatening Pandemic COVID 19 it seems the entire world today is dependent on the Technology which is proving as a boon for all of us to communicate, and transfer the knowledge to the students. Along ith many advantages the use of these technological resources has certain challenges. The present study is the findingss of a research conducted on assessing the opinion of the University teachers regarding Challenges faced and Opportunities identified due to online teaching during this pandemic 19.

ONLINE TEACHING DURING COVID 19 PANDEMIC ERA

Whole world is struggling with COVID-19 pandemic and various countries across the globe has announced lock down. Education providers in higher academic institutions have proceeded towards online teaching in lockdown period due to COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers redesigned their teaching strategies and delivered content to their learners staying at home. Now most of the teachers are feeling comfortable to use online portals to teach the students and trying to adopt new techniques of electronic teaching. A great amount of interest is rising in teaching community during this new situation. In virtual approach of blended learning, students are assigning with an assortment of options for their learning and taking more responsible steps for their own learning. At this turning phase, education provider required training from ICT originators and IT experts to use the online teaching administration. As part of the flexible teaching learning process teachers are sharing learning material, giving assignments and to set up online conversation through various digital platforms. So, this new digital revolution in the field of higher education has provided opportunities as well as challenges for teachers. The purpose of the present paper is to provide understanding about opportunities and challenges for educators in online teaching, during this instant shift from campus to digital platform.

Significance and Challenges of Online Education during and After Covid-19

The Corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic out broken at the late 2019 was reported as a cluster of cases in December at Wuhan, China by The World Health Organization. The pandemic has been lasting about a year claimed more than 55 million cases and 1.5 million of death globally. This has brought into drastic changes in the normal lifestyle of people worldwide, especially into the routine of education field creating many changes into their policies and practices. The Pandemic has disrupted the cl assroom education system and paved a new normal way to online education system. The Information Communication Technologies have provided a rescue hand to bring back the student and teacher communication through online classes to persist the education. The study involves in analyzing the new normal practices at education sector in providing their classes online and the precautionary measures in enhancing the effectiveness of online classes.

PARADIGM SHIFTING FROM CLASSROOM EDUCATION TO ONLINE CLASSES DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Corona virus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by newly discovered corona virus. It is slowing down the world economy. Each and every sector whether working or non-working has been totally affected by it. Educational issues have grown up to a very large extent due to the pandemic. Educational issues are one of major issues among those topics which need to be taken into consideration now days. Internet has changed the things that how we communicate nowadays, Online teaching during this pandemic Covid-19 has proved to be another perk of technology. Teachers are efficiently taking online classes but the questions arise the consideration and challenges that students and teachers are facing. Study is to throw light on some of the major concerns regarding it.

EFFECT OF COVID-19 ON SCHOOL EDUCATION SYSTEM: CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ADOPT ONLINE TEACHING AND LEARNING

Purpose of Study: Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), deals with Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) has instantly spread worldwide, leading to an episode of intense irresistible pneumonia. The COVID-19 pandemic has created a phenomenal change in educational teaching-learning framework globally. Other than financial and social effects, there is a difficulty in adopting new online education systems by stakeholders of academic institutions. Methodology: The review presented here is based on the platinum open access literature focusing on the adoption of the online education system during the current pandemic situation. This compilation of the findings is based on a systematic review published by the scholars of the relevant field of research targeted to opportunities and challenges in adopting ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and online teaching-learning pedagogy. Main Findings: Specifically, school students need to deal with various sorts of ecological, electronic, and mental battles because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The whole education system from elementary to tertiary level has been imploded during the lockdown time of the COVID-19 in India and worldwide. The New Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has been delivered by the recently renamed Ministry of Education. The approach has given another face to the Online Education System in India. Applications of this study: The finding of the current investigation is a portrayal of opportunities and challenges in receiving the online teaching-learning education system by the public and private educational institutions. It will help in the planning and development of strategies to handle the challenges and opportunities of e-learning during the current global epidemic. Novelty of the study: The authors endeavored to address the web-based learning and teaching in the school training system in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The capacity of offered resources in academic organization effectively changed conventional education into online schooling with the help of virtual classes and other urgent online gadgets in this reliably moving instructive scene.

The world is witnessing the wide effect of covid19 pandemic which has led to the emergency lockdown of various sectors of development, affecting immensely the higher education. With this the entire existence of teaching-learning process in higher education has shifted from real teaching to virtual mode of teaching. The sudden transformation in the way of teaching learning process has more popularized the importance of digital education that brought forward the trend of using online teaching among the teachers of higher education to facilitate continued learning despite the emergence of this unprecedented occurrence. The present paper focuses on the basic challenges in executing online teaching effectively in higher education during Covid19 pandemic in the areas concerning: online teaching experiences; connectivity and access to technology among the teacher and the learners. The study concludes with some suggestive measures along with the highlights for the future investigation.

Adaption of Novel Approach of Online Teaching-Learning Process During COVID-19 Pandemic and Discrimination of It with Conventional Teaching Learning in Education System

Change is the rule of nature, with this universal truth, success of any individual, mass or whole system is to adapt change in fast manner, learn from it and excel the same. Role of education is to nurture the lifelong learning approach into students along with their necessary skills and core values. After completion of any course of study, student will be able to develop his/her self for the outcomes of those courses. In this paper we have described the conventional teaching learning approach with novel approach of online teaching learning during Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. Each approach has its own advantages and disadvantages. According to the situation we can adapt novel approach with some rectification or conventional approach with advancements.

Outcome of Online Teaching-Learning over Traditional Education during Covid-19 Pandemic

The purpose of this study is to assess the impact, issues, and tools of online teaching-learning throughout the various higher educational bodies (colleges/Universities) across India. An online survey was conducted from 29th June to 20th July 2020. The questionnaire has closedended questions with multiple choice answer options for analysis using quantitative methods. During the investigation, it has been observed online teaching played a crucial role in education during the COVID-19 pandemic but lack of resources and proper training are the major issues during ICT based/Online teaching-learning. The problem in the selection of a perfect tool for teaching-learning electronically was the reason that could not make it impactful as compared to the conventional education system. This study will help government authorities, educational bodies to draft a training/advisory program for students and teachers to overcome the issues found in the study. It will help in making online education a more attractive and powerful medium for teachinglearning activities that ensure the development of young scholars, skill-set, employability.
