The present supply chain management aims to find out the combination among environmental performance, green suppliers, competitive advantages and green innovation in the field of industries as we know industrial sector is very important for all developing countries. So after finding and analyzing the GSCM practices, these are being applied in manufacturing of poles. Our result shows that there is positive relation between environmental performance and competitive advantages with the use of green supply chain management practices i.e. Green supplier, green innovation and green manufacturing. It shows an important positive relationship among green innovation with environmental performance and environmental performance with competitive advantage.

There are several environmental issues that are in the spotlight globally, including: global warming, depletion of the ozone layer, the greenhouse effect, and acid rain. This problem is a concern and needs serious action for human survival. Supply chain activities are suspected of contributing to environmental damage. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of Green Supply Chain Management on competitiveness, the effect of Green Supply Chain Management on Performance and the effect of competitiveness on Performance. The study used quantitative methods and research data were obtained using online questionnaires distributed via social media. The research respondents were managers of manufacturing companies in Indonesia and the number of samples used was 540 respondents who were determined using a purposive sampling technique. Data analysis in this study used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and software used for data processing by SmartPLS. The results showed that Green Supply Chain Management had a positive and significant effect on competitiveness, Green Supply Chain Management did not have any positive and significant effect on Performance and competitiveness had a positive and significant effect on Performance.

THE EFFECT OF GREEN SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT PRACTICES ON ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE AND COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE: A CASE STUDY OF THE CEMENT INDUSTRY

Nowadays, sustainable development has been introduced and integrated into production and operation management field through the concept of the green supply chain. Green regulations and principles have gained the interest of managers and practitioners in selecting innovative practices for suppliers and organisations. Accordingly, the present study aims to evaluate the relationship between a green supplier, green innovation, environmental performance, and competitive advantage in the cement industry, which is an important industry for Iran. This study is descriptive in nature and conducted based on correlation and structural equation modelling. Managers and experts of cement companies in Fars Province are selected as samples for the study. A questionnaire and Smart-PLS software were used as research tools. The results of data analysis show that there is a positive and significant relationship between a green supplier, green innovations and environmental performance of an organisation, while there is a negative yet significant relationship between a green supplier, green innovations and environmental performance of an organisation. There is also a significant positive relationship between green innovation and environmental performance on one hand, and environmental performance and competitive advantage on the other.

This paper explored advancement in what performance factors affect Green Supply Chain Management practices of the firms. Data was collected through survey questionnaire, adopted and disseminated to 200 different employees working in different organizations based in Karachi that were associated with supply chain management activities. Data was analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling. Results showed that environmental and financial performance of organization has no statistically significant association with green supply chain management. Whereas, organizational performance produced a positive and significant impact. The results are significant for managers of manufacturing organizations in improving the practices of green supply chain management and achieve competitive position in the industry.

Firm Performance and Competitive Advantage: The role of Green Supply Chain Management Practices

This study assessed the role of Green Supply Chain Management practices in enhancing the performance and competitive advantage of firms. The study was based on 385 manufacturing firms. Various validity and reliability checks were conducted before the presentation of the actual analysis, which was conducted using Ordinary Least Squares approach, run using SPSS (v. 20). Findings revealed that, Green Procurement Practices, Green Manufacturing Practices, and Green Distribution Practices, had a significant effect on manufacturing firms' performance and competitive advantage. Although Reverse Logistics had no significant effect on manufacturing firms' performance, it had a significant effect on their competitive advantage.

The Impact of Firm’s Green Practices on the Sustainability in Supply Chain for Competitive Advantage: A Conceptual Framework

This study aims to develop an enhanced model of green practices for the company's sustainability in achieving competitive advantage. The study used the conceptual development framework used two data sources: journal publication (secondary data) and field interview (primary data). The finding of the secondary data revealed ten green practices from the literature review; remanufacturing, eco-design, process design, lean practices, cleaner production, product design, product return practices, product recovery practices, green purchasing, and reverse logistics. However, based on the interviews with the three selected companies in the electrical and electronics industry, it was discovered that only four green practices were the actual practices adopted by the companies: lean practices, product return practices, product recovery practices, and green purchasing. A grounded theory of Natural Resources-based View (NRBV) The model predicted the relationship between green practices and sustainability, green practices and competitive advantage, and the relationship between sustainability in the supply chain and competitive advantage. Therefore, it is anticipated that manufacturing firms with higher green practices adoption can increase sustainability in the supply chain, which eventually attains high competitiveness in the market.
