Masalah pemupukan dan gulma merupakan faktor yang dapat menyebabkan hasil jagung di Indonesia tidak maksimal. Suatu penelitian telah dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu pengendalian gulma dan dosis pupuk N terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil jagung. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Fakultas Pertanian desa Jatikerto, Kecamatan Kromengan, Kabupaten Malang pada bulan 21 Oktober 2014 sampai 6 Februari 2015. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terbagi dengan 3 ulangan yaitu pemupukan N sebagai petak utama yang terdiri dari tiga level yang terdiri dari : N 1 : 100 kg N ha -1 , N 2 : 150 kg N ha -1 dan N 3 : 200 kg N ha -1 . Sedangkan anak petaknya ialah penyiangan gulma yang terdiri dari empat level yaitu : P 0 : Tanpa penyiangan, P 1 : Penyiangan umur 21 hst, P 2 : Penyiangan umur 21 dan 49 hst dan P 3 : Penyiangan umur 21 hst, 35 hst dan 49 hst. Corn is an important food commodity after rice. Corn is used as food, animal feed, and industrial raw materials. The increase in harvested area is due to the increase in demand for corn from year to year. This study aims to determine the relationship between farmer characteristics and the success of corn farming and how much income is corn farmers in Dataran Bugi Village Tojo District Tojo Una-Una Regency. This study uses a survey method with descriptive correlational analysis. The results showed that land area and social capital are important factors in increasing the production and income of corn farmers in Dataran Bugi Village Tojo District Tojo Una-Una Regency. The average cost incurred by corn farmers is IDR 3,905,567/growing season and the average farmer income is IDR 14,912,433/growing season. Corn farming in Dataran Bugi Village is feasible with an R/C Ratio of 4.82.

The aims of the study were to study the effect of plant spacing and dose of cow manure on the growth of long bean plants, determine the appropriate spacing and dose of cow manure on the growth of long bean plants and determine the effect of independent treatment between spacing and dose of cow manure on the growth of bean plants. long. This research was conducted at the Field Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, Halu Oleo University, Kendari. The study was conducted from February to May 2022. This study was designed using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) consisting of two factors, namely the spacing factor (three levels) and the cow manure dose factor (four levels). Data from observations of long bean plants from each observation variable were analyzed based on variance. If fcount is greater than ftable, then it is continued with Duncan's Multiple Distance Test at a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the application of various doses of cow manure had a very significant effect on almost all variables observed at the age of 21 and 35 DAP, except for the stem diameter which had a significant effect on the age of 21 DAP and the number of leaves had no significant effect on the age of 21 DAP. Spacing treatment had a very significant effect on all observed variables only at the end of the vegetative growth period or the beginning of entering the generative period, namely the age of 35 DAP. While in the early vegetative growth period (age 21 DAP) the variables of plant height, stem diameter, and number of leaves had no significant effect. The interaction of organic fertilizer dose and plant spacing had a very significant effect on the growth of long bean plants.

Abstrak siklus pengeringan dan pembasahan berulang pada daerah beriklim tropis adalah pristiwa dengan intensitas tinggi, dimana hal tersebut akan berdampak terjadinya penyusutan tanah pada waktu kering yang ditandai dengan berkurangnya kadar air pada tanah. Sebaliknya akan terjadi pengembangan pada waktu basah yang ditandai meningkatnya kadar air dalam tanah. Perubahan ini juga dipengaruhi oleh perbedaan partikel-partikel penyusun tanah serta faktor-faktor lingkungan berupa tingkat curah hujan yang tinggi, kisaran temperatur dan adanya pengaruh gravitasi. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat perubahan nilai kuat geser dan volume tanah yang terjadi di lapangan akibat siklus pengeringan dan pembasahan.
ANALISIS PEMASARAN JAGUNG DAN DAYA BELI PETANI DI KABUPATEN TAKALAR SULAWESI SELATAN
Agricultural development is very important as an activator of the national economy. Domestic resources need to be empowered to improve the welfare of farmer communities. The empowerment offers problems and opportunities. South Sulawesi is one of prominent maize production centers and one region that can become a maize production center is Takalar Regency. This research was conducted from June to October 2006 at Parasangan Beru Village and Bonto Lebang Village, North Galesong Sub-district in Takalar Regency. The research result shows that Takalar Regency area has potency for maize development. This is supported by natural and farmer resources, and the potency of Takalar Regency as a support of a metropolitan city (the marketing potency for agricultural products). The price of maize at the farmer level is feasible, this is reflected by the analysis research on price determination through the determination on the selling price cost. The welfare level of farmers (especially those with corn base) reaches a sufficiently good welfare level as it reaches an average of 2.57. Furthermore, the average net income of a farmer household reaches Rp.10,440,400/year.
