NGAL as a marker to detect donor risk factors for delayed graft function
2016
Introduction: For deceased donor renal transplantation, it is important to have early markers that can predict the functional outcome of the transplant. Currently, creatinine is the marker of choice for determining whether a potential donor’s kidneys are suitable for transplantation. Urine neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin (uNGAL) is a biomarker that has been utilized to diagnose early-stage acute kidney injury, but its behavior in deceased donors is uncertain. The objective of this study was to determine whether donor uNGAL levels can predict delayed graft function in recipients. Methodology: A prospective cohort utilizing descriptive statistics and non-parametric median tests was carried out to evaluate donor uNGAL levels at the time of kidney removal. The behavior of this biomarker was analyzed in kidney transplant donors to evaluate its use as a predictive factor for DGF. Results: A total of 27 standard criteria transplants were evaluated, including 7 (25.9%) women and ...

Wine is a multi-attribute product and one of great differentiation. Consumers do not know wines' intrinsic properties before its purchase; consumers need and look for extrinsic signals that allow them to infer those intrinsic properties. To evaluate those intrinsic wine properties, the article uses price as an extrinsic signal to express their value. The price used is a comparison between the prices suggested by the specialized guides and the ones proposed directly to the consumer at the on-line stores. With the hedonic price methodology, which relates price and attributes, the article shows the convergence between the value referenced (price) by the Spanish experts and the one paid (price) in the Spanish market, the former being independent of the interests of the economic agents and the latter not. Regional reputation is the only attribute that positively impacts the price of Castilian wine and is prioritized in the ranking of attributes. hedonic model • wine of Castile • denomination of origin • attributes • experts • on-line sales • Spanish wine market • price premium
Supernumerary head of musculus biceps brachii
2016
The most common variable of the muscle biceps brachii is the presence of supernumerary heads. The aim of this case report is to describe the presence of a third head of the muscle biceps brachii and its clinical significance. The anatomical variations described were found during routine dissection conducted in the laboratory of Morphology of the University of Pamplona in two male cadavers, embalmed of 75 and 59 years respectively. Measurements were taken using a Vernier caliper. Topographic details of the variations were examined, recorded and photographed. They have been described compression of the brachial artery, median nerve, musculocutaneous nerve between the supernumerary heads of muscle biceps brachii, your knowledge is of interest to clinicians, specialists; and health professionals in order to achieve diagnoses, procedures and safer and efficient rehabilitations.
Convertion of Dual Fuel Opportunities in Indonesia Waterways
2017
Indonesian shipping generally used heavy fuel oil (HFO) or Marine diesel oil (MDO) as diesel engine fuel. Exhaust gas emission produced by fossil fuel such as SOX, NOX, CO2, and PM, contributed total global emission during 2007–2012 period as much as 3% of CO2, NOX for 12%, and SOX for 13%. To comply Emission Control Area (ECA), and high fuel efficiency is Dual fuel, where this method is combined from fuel oil with gas such as LNG or CNG. This paper analyzes dual fuel conversion in container ship 368TEU. Payback period and Rate Of Interest (ROI) have been adopted as method adopted for analyzing investment. From payback period, the results show that if dual fuel 80:20 is faster than dual fuel 70:30, and single fuel, where in 9th years get profit 257.743, and 10th years for single fuel and dual fuel 70:30. From the ROI method, the results show that for each methhod is 18.65% for dual fuel 80:20, 17.43% for dual fuel 70:30, and 16% for single fuel.

The goal of this research is dynamic operability analysis of dual-membrane reactor considering catalyst deactivation to produce methanol. A dynamic heterogeneous one-dimensional model is developed to predict the performance of this configuration. In this configuration, a conventional reactor has been supported by a Pd/Ag membrane tube for hydrogen permeation and alumina-silica composite membrane tube to remove water vapor from the reaction zone. To verify the accuracy of the considered model, the results of conventional reactor are compared with the plant data. The main advantages of the dual-membrane reactor are: higher catalyst activity and lifetime, higher CO 2 conversion and methanol production.
The superficial veins, especially the external jugular vein are increasingly used for cannulation or diagnostic procedures, intravenous therapy, parenteral nutrition in debilitated patients. Variations in the venous drainage of the head and neck are important not only for anatomists and radiologists but also for surgeons. During routine dissection in the Laboratory of Morphology, University of Pamplona in a 75 year-old male cadaver in the region face and neck anatomical variations and unusual drainage patterns were found, which were dissected carefully and morphological details were photographed; these variations consisted of unilateral absence of external jugular vein. The lingual vein, the infrahyoid vein and the superior thyroid vein had transverse venous connections that drained into a venous arch located between the common carotid artery and the superior thyroid artery. This draining venous arch upward in the common facial vein and down into the internal jugular vein. Knowledge of the anatomical and morphological variations in the veins of the head and neck is essential to carry out successful surgical procedures in these regions.
