Automatic Door Access System Using Face Recognition
International Journal of Computer Applications Technology and Research
Most doors are controlled by persons using keys, security cards, passwords, or patterns to open the door. This paper aims to help users improve the door security of sensitive locations by using face detection and Recognition. The face is a complex multidimensional structure and needs good computing techniques for detection and Recognition. This paper comprises three subsystems: face detection, face Recognition and automatic door access control. Face detection is the process of detecting the region of the face in an image. The look is seen using the viola jones method, and face recognition is implemented using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Face Recognition based on PCA is generally referred to as the use of Eigenfaces. If a face is recognized, it is known, else it is unknown. The door will open automatically for the known person due to the command of the microcontroller. On the other hand, the alarm will ring for the unknown person. Since PCA reduces the dimensions of face ...
Face Recognition for Biometric Door Unlocking System
This paper describes the design and implementation of secure locking using raspberry pi 3 model B for door unlocking to provide essential security to our homes. The work starts with the introduction of face detection followed by detail study of Viola Jones Algorithm. For object detection we used Haar feature based cascade classifier which is an effective face detection method. For face recognition we used the technique of Eigen faces which was proposed by Sirovich and Kirby for efficiently representing pictures of faces using principal component analysis. Raspberry pi is used for signaling servo motor which controls door locking and unlocking.
Smart Door Lock System Using Face Recognition
International Journal for Research in Applied Science & Engineering Technology (IJRASET), 2022
Currently, we're facing security issues in every aspect. So, we've to resolve these issues by using streamlined technology. In this project, we're using the Face recognition module to capture human images and to compare with stored database images. The most important of characteristic of any home security system is to discover the people who enter or leave the house. Instead of monitoring that through passwords or pins, unique faces can be made use of as they're one's biometric characteristic. We aim to make a smart door, which secures the gateway on the base of who we are. The goal of this project is to help users improve the door security of sensitive places by using face detection and recognition. The proposed system consists of basically the following subsystems: Face Detection, Face Recognition and also automatic door access control.
Survey on Face Recognition for Automation of Door Lock System
International Journal for Research in Applied Science & Engineering Technology (IJRASET), 2022
In recent years, it is important to own a reliable security system that can secure our assets as well as to protect our privacy. The traditional security system needs an individual to use a key, identification (ID) card or password to access an area such as home and workplace. However, the present security system has many weaknesses wherever it is simply cast and taken. Most doors are controlled by persons with the employment of keys, security cards, countersign or pattern to open the door. The aim of this paper is to assist users for improvement of the door security of sensitive locations by using face detection and recognition. The proposed system mainly consists of subsystems namely image capture, face detection and recognition, email notification and automatic door access management. Face Recognition supported openCV is brought up because it uses Eigen faces and reduces the scale of face images without losing vital features, facial images for many persons can be stored in the database. The door lock can also be accessed remotely from any part of the world by using Telegram android application. The captured image from pi camera will be sent to the authorized person through email for safety purposes.
Intelligent Door Lock System with Face Recognition
International Journal for Research in Applied Science and Engineering Technology IJRASET, 2020
Internet of Things (IoT) is mainly used to conceptualize the idea of remotely connecting and monitoring real world objects (things) through the Internet. When it comes to our house or office, this concept can be capably integrated to make it smarter, safer and automated. This paper focus on building the intelligent security system using wireless technology which is capable of sending automatic alert messages to the owner by using network in case of any intrusion and raise alarm optionally. There are many security systems currently available in the market which was too priced which cannot be purchased by the ordinary person. The paper target is to supply the primary information to the user about the utilization of open source technology which comprises of OpenCV2, LBPH algorithm, SMTP. The implementation area is mainly focused on local level like home, campus and offices. The system has come up with the real time face detection and recognition once the camera is started. The captured image is examined with the images available in the database and if it is a match, the entry is granted and door will open. On the other side which is, if the captured face did not match with the images available in database then the captured image is sent to the owner's mail. The system is going to wait for the response from owner with an appropriate action. Based on the action retrieved from the owner it will decide either access will be granted or denied. The main goal of the project is to develop a recognition system which uses real time faces of the person as well as to provide security to ordinary persons with low cost.
Face recognition based Access Control of Door and Home Security system
2017
The paper presents a theoretical model and a system concept to provide a smart electronic aid for blind people. The system is intended to provide measures such as face detection. This paper also presents a computer vision system for visually impaired. This system understands face around the subject up to 1 feet in front, left and right direction using a camera module. This proposed system uses Raspberry Pi board to process real time data collected by camera module. The module contains a secured face recognizer for automatic door unlocking. The camera catches the facial picture and compares it with the image which is stored in the database .If the picture is found in the database then the door lock opens otherwise it relevant pre -recorded speech message stored in memory is invoked. This pre-recorded speech messages are invoked using easy text to speech software which is installed in the raspberry pi board. Such speech messages are conveyed to the visually impaired using earphone or ...
Face Recognition Using Principal Component Analysis for Security Based System
2015
Security is generally a state or feeling of being saved and protected, it is an assurance that something of value will not be taken which is protected. This system is mainly designed for getting access in the strong rooms of the Military system by recognizing the face. This proposed system consist of two of the emerging artificial intelligence technologies that are: Facial Recognition and Eigen Face approach using Principal Component Analysis algorithm for developing a secure keyless door where authentication of authorized faces is the only guarantee for entry in the strong rooms of the Military security system . This mechanically built door, has an interface with the PC for capturing and processing images. A facial recognition system is a computer application for automatically identifying or verifying a person from a digital image or a video frame from a video source. Proposed System uses face recognition technique for verification in Military security System. For face recognition,...

FACE RECOGNITION DOOR LOCK SYSTEM USING RASPBERRY PI
With the world moving towards advanced technologies, security forms a crucial part in daily life. Among the many techniques used for this purpose, Face Recognition stands as effective means of authentication and security. This research paper deals with the user of principal component and security. Principal component analysis (PCA) is a statistical approach was used to simplify a data set. The minimum Euclidean distance found from the PCA technique is used to recognize the face. While a low cost Raspberry Pi ARM based computer on a small circuit board, controls the servo motor and other sensors. The servo-motor is in turn attached to the doors of home and opens up when the face is recognized.
Automated door with face recognition: using artificial neural network approach
The implementation of an accurate face recognition system in a hardware device is a very important aspect of various security applications. In a security system, any type of password is used to access private and confidential data, some are hard to remember and can be stolen or guessed, misplaced, forgotten, purloined or duplicated, or become corrupted and unreadable. While there have been significant improvements in the algorithms with increasing recognition accuracy, only a few types of research were conducted on implementing these face recognitions in hardware devices. Door access control systems based on face recognition is geared towards simplifying much-difficult face recognition problems in uncontrolled environments. This report comprised mainly of three sub-phases: face detection, face recognition, and automatic door access control. The face is detected by using the Viola-Jones method and face recognition is implemented by using the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). If a face is recognized, it is known, else it is unknown. The door will open automatically for the known person due to the command of the microcontroller (Atmega328P) received from the MATLAB program. On the other hand, the alarm will ring for an unknown person.
