Pelatihan Kewirausahaan Untuk Anak Jalanan (original) (raw)
Currently, there are still millions of children in Indonesia who live below the poverty line, are neglected, and even live on the streets. Based on the 2015 Indonesian Child Profile data issued by the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection in collaboration with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), it is stated that in 2014 the Indonesian population aged 0-17 years reached 82.8 million or 32.9 percent of the total. residents in Indonesia. Especially for street children, they are more vulnerable to becoming victims of crimes such as sexual violence, victims of trafficking syndicates, and they are even more prone to eventually become the perpetrators of crimes. This occurs in the absence of high quality social protection that ensures that all these children are protected. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out community service activities (PKM) to foster street children, especially in Makassar City. The purpose of implementing this PKM activity is to foster street children so that they can add to their broader knowledge and insight, and increase their creativity and entrepreneurial skills to become better. Furthermore, with this service activity, it is hoped that the children will no longer spend their time on the streets picking up trash and so on, but instead stay to study and do entrepreneurship at their residence. The stages of the implementation of this PKM activity are broadly the stages of socialization and data collection, procurement of learning products / components, implementation of independent learning, training on creativity and entrepreneurship, writing reports and publication of scientific articles. Community service activities in the form of mental coaching and entrepreneurship training (screen printing training) for "children on street" have been carried out. From these entrepreneurial activities, the participants have been able to do clothes screen printing well and are expected to make a positive contribution to improving their standard of living in the future.
