Indonesia is being the COVID-19 pandemic, where the number of patient deaths has increased. Some reports mention side effects on the fetus in the form of preterm delivery, fetal distress but there is no evidence that COVID-19 infection can pass the transplacental route to the baby. Health Anxiety of Pregnant Women and Its Related Factors During the Pandemic of Corona Virus

Background The pandemic of COVID-19 affected many countries as well as Iran. The aim of this study was to evaluate the health anxiety of the Iranian pregnant women in time of the pandemic of the corona virus. Methods In this cross-sectional study 300 pregnant women in different trimesters (n = 100 in each trimester) were recruited. A demographic questionnaire and the Health Anxiety questionnaire were used to collect data. Because of quarantine data were collected through social media groups. The chi-square, ANOVA and multiple linear regression were used to analyze data. Results The total score of anxiety was 22.3 ± 9.5, 24.6 ± 9.3 and 25.4 ± 10.6 in the first, second and third trimester of pregnancy. Totally 9%, 13% and 21% of the women had severe anxiety or scores ≥ 35 in the first, second and third trimester of pregnancy respectively. This study will assess their knowledge, attitude, and practices (KAP), risk perceptions, anxiety and concerns related to COVID-19.Methods: A hospital-based cross-sectional survey was conducted in Karachi. Self-reported questionnaires including KAP, generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) scale and perception of pregnancy risk questionnaire were administered. The Covid-19 virus pandemic can cause various manifestations, especially in risk groups, one of which is pregnant women. Pregnancy during a pandemic would be a factor that is anxiety pregnant women which can be impact for babies, like premature, Low Birth Weight, and also depression postpartum. The purpose of this study was to describe the level of anxiety of pregnant women during pandemic Covid-19 at the Jaya Kusuma Husada Clinic Malang, East Java Indonesia. The study was conducted from November to December 2020 and is a descriptive study with total sampling using a questionnaire given to pregnant women. Fifty-three pregnant women filled out forms and the data were analyzed using frequency and proportion tables. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about mental changes for every human being, including pregnant women worldwide. Anxiety will impact the mother and the growth and development of the fetus she is carrying. This study aimed to identify pregnant women's anxiety levels and the risk factors that can cause anxiety in pregnant women during the covid-19 pandemic. Methods. This study uses a quantitative approach. Settings. The location of this research is Jakarta, with a population of all pregnant women in the area. The sample of this study was pregnant women who made antenatal care visits at the independent midwife practice, with a large sample of 223 people. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling (accidental sampling) Designs. This study used a crosssectional study design. Results. This study's results indicate that most mothers experience mild anxiety, 38.6% of pregnant women who experience severe anxiety 17.5%, pregnant women who experience severe anxiety 9% and those who experience very severe anxiety or panic, 3.6% Conclusions. Many factors cause anxiety in pregnant women during the transition to the COVID-19 pandemic, such as maternal characteristics (age, education, and occupation) and obstetric characteristics (gestational age, gravida, and parity).

Anxiety Level and Associated Factors during Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Pandemic in Pregnant Women

Background: Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is spreading widely throughout the world, causing global health crisis and one of the greatest challenges we have ever faced. Indonesia is one of the countries that has been severely affected by COVID-19. The COVID-19 pandemic has created some serious concerns including anxiety in pregnant women. However, due to mental and physical changes in pregnancy, pregnant women are likely to be affected by the virus. At present there is no evidence that pregnant women are at higher risk of severe illness from COVID-19 than the general population. Research is currently ongoing to understand the impacts of COVID-19 in pregnant women. This study aimed to assess the anxiety level and associated factors during COVID-19 pandemic in pregnant women. Methods: This study used cross-sectional design using primary data on April 2020 at Leo Simanjuntak (Obstetrician and Gynecologist) outpatient clinic. Based on defined criteria, 120 subjects were recruited in this study. Anxiety level assessed using Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAM-A). Demographic data collected using research questionnaire. Logistic regression were used to identify associated factors on anxiety level. Results: Our results showed majority of the pregnant women (71%) showed no anxiety. The rest of these pregnant women (29%) showed mild anxiety level (23%) and moderate anxiety (6%). Multivariate data analysis showed that healthcare workers were associated to higher anxiety level, with OR 5.56 (95% CI .33-24.09). Conclusion: Informative and educative advices and suggestions of COVID-19 to pregnant women and their family, such as washing hands frequently, maintain social and physical distancing, using mask to cover the mouth and nose when around others, living healthy life, and doing all the activities from home, can make pregnant women not worried about COVID-19 pandemic, which is supported by this study. Covid-19 Related Anxiety among Antenatal Mothers

Backgroud: COVID-19 is a global public health emergency and could cause devastating health issues during pregnancy. Pregnant women have a high propensity to acquire this infection due to their altered physiological and immunological function. The present study aims to assess the level of COVID-19 related anxiety among antenatal mothers, to find out the association between level of COVID-19 related anxiety among antenatal mothers and selected socio personal variables and to provide electronic self instructional module. Materials and methods: In this non experimental descriptive study 60 antenatal mothers were selected using non probability purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using State Trait Anxiety Inventory Scale and analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Result:The result showed that among 60 samples, 47(78.3%) have moderate level of anxiety, 11(18.3%) had low level of anxiety and only 2(3.3%) of samples have high level of anxiety regarding COVID 19 and age has a significant association with COVID 19 related anxiety. An electronic self instructional module regarding COVID 19 stress management provided to enable the participants to cop-up with the situation.
