It is crucial to education as it determines the quality of educational outcomes of school students. It is a collection of values, standards and norms that every individual regarded as a professional should consider and it is a status actively achieved through the efforts of a group of employees, not their inherited character or traits. Teachers as role models are expected to stick totally to the professional code of ethics to ensure that an honest, fair and quality education is given to every student across the board. A teacher needs to demonstrate professional and ethical standards like integrity, competence, accountability in the classroom setting and their conduct with the members of staff and parents.
