This article reports a study on the implementation and the improvement of guided writing towards the student’s writing skill and to know the respond of the students towards the implementation of guided writing in the teaching and learning process at the second semester students of English Diploma III of Language and Culture Faculty in 17 Agustus 1945 Semarang University in the academic year of 2017/2018. The second semester students had problems dealing with writing skill. They have difficulties on: (1) expressing their idea in writing; (2) constructing correct sentences; and (3) vocabulary mastery. The Use of Guided Writing Technique To Enhance The Students’ Writing Skill

This research is written to describe whether guided writing technique can enhance the students’ writing skill and class situation. It was conducted at second-grade of Junior High School 1 Puring. The research method used in this study is a classroom action research which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The research data were collected through observation, field notes, photographs, interview, questionnaire, and tests (pre-test and post-tests). The technique of analyzing the data consisted of assembling the data, coding the data, comparing the data, building interpretation and reporting the outcomes for the qualitative data. While the quantitative data were analyzed by comparing the mean scores of pre-test and post-tests. The results of this research show that the use of guided writing technique could enhance students’ writing skill and class situation.
Improving Students’ Writing Skill by Using Guided Writing

This research aims at identifying whether guided writing can improve students’ writing skill and students’ learning motivation. This action research was conducted in two cycles at the second grade of SMP Negeri 1 Karanganyar from August – October 2012. The qualitative and quantitative data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire, field note, photographs and tests (pre-test and post-tests). The qualitative data were analyzed in five stages namely assembling the data, coding the data, comparing the data, building interpretations, and reporting the outcomes. Meanwhile, the quantitative data were analyzed by comparing the mean scores of the pre-test and post-test. The research findings show that the use of guided writing could improve students’ writing skill and students’ learning motivation.
The Effectiveness of Using Guided Writing Technique in Enhancing Students' Writing Ability

The objective of conducting this research was to find out whether the use of guided writing technique was effective in enhancing the students’ writing ability to the eighth grade at SMP Negri 17 Palu or not. This research employed a true-experimental research design that involved two groups, experimental group and control group. The population of this research was the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 17 Palu. The sample of this research was selected by using cluster sampling technique. In this research, the researcher used two kinds of instruments for collecting data. They were test and non-test instrument. The test instrument covers pretest and posttest, and the non-test instrument covers observation and interview. The test was given twice as pre-test and post-test. The result of the test was analyzed statistically while the result of interview and observation were analyzed descriptively. Guided Writing to Improve the Students' Writing Ability of Junior High School Students
The problems of writing are found at MTs Almuna Samarinda; the students are reluctant to write English, they are difficult to express their ideas and thought to the paragraph writing, they made many grammatical mistakes in their writing, and they are also lack of vocabulary in their writing so that it made their writing monoton. This is a classroom action research which aimed at improving the students' writing ability of madrasah students. The setting of the research is the second grade students of MTs Almuna Samarinda. The instruments of the study are observation and writing test. The result of study shows that Guided writing can overcome the problems in the teaching of writing found at MTs Almuna Samarinda. It was found that in preliminary study, there were 14 students (50%) who achieved minimum passing grade and there were 14 students (50%) of the students who did not pass the minimum passing grade, the highest score was 80 and the lowest score was 50. In Cycle 1, there were 18 students (64%) who achieved minimum passing grade and there were 10 students (36%) of the students who did not pass the minimum passing grade, the highest score was 80 and the lowest score was 55. This cycle was not successful because it did not reach the criteria of success, 70. In Cycle 2, there were 22 students (79%) who achieved minimum passing grade and there were 6 students (21%) of the students who did not pass the minimum passing grade, the highest score was 90 and the lowest score was 60. This cycle was successful because it reached the criteria of success.

The purpose of this research is to explain whether the effect of guided writing can improve the students’ writing skill. The writer conducted in quasi experiment in this research. There are involving two classes for the research, namely experiment class and control class. The experiment class used guided writing as the technique and the control class without using guided writing. Before starting the treatment, the writer giving pre-test to know how far the students’ ability in writing text. This research was aimed to improve the students‘ ability at writing descriptive text by using guided writing at the tenth grade students of MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Medan. This research was conducted by using classroom action research, which carried out through four steps, they were planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were the tenth grade student of MAS PAB 2 Helvetia Medan in academic year 2016/2017. It consists of 36 students. The technique of analyzing the data of this research was applied quantitative and qualitative approach. The quantitative data were taken from written test. Writing is one of the four language skills that plays a very important role in the teaching of English since writing can really help the students learn a second language. Unfortunately, make a product of writing become problematic way since student does not know how to write well. Therefore, the students have master the step of writing process in order to get good writing such as prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing. The aim of this descriptive qualitative research is to investigate the teaching of writing especially in students’ writing process in SMP and SMA. This data of research were taken from three schools in Malang: MAN 03 Malang, SMA Islam Nusantara, and SMP Wahid Hasyim with 3 teachers come from 3 classes of each school. The data were obtained through video, observation sheets, lesson plan, and interview, and analyzed by comparing and contrasting all the research instruments. The findings of this study interpret that treating the students by using writing process will improve students’ writing skill. The Implementation of the Writing Process in Teaching Writing for Young Learners

In writing class, young learners need the guidance from the teacher to express their ideas to do the writing task. This study is intended to observe how the teacher implemented the writing process in teaching writing. The implementation of the writing process includes three important things - the techniques, teaching aids, and the teaching procedures. This study was a case study. It was conducted in twelve meetings at Primary 3 Class where the researcher was the non-participant observer so she did not take any participation in the teaching-learning activities. The researcher obtained the data from classroom observations, pictures taking, field notes, and interviews.
