Abstract

Cascade control system method for power converter implemented by a Cuk scheme is discussed. Proposed control system consists of two control loops. Inner control loop allows maintaining input current of the converter by sliding mode control. In the outer control loop a continuous third-order controller is used to stabilize output voltage of the converter. The method of the outer controller parameters calculation is based on singular perturbation technique. Finally, numerical simulation results are carried out in order to prove effectiveness of the proposed design methodology.
