Literatura enquanto gesto: o escritor-personagem na narrativa brasileira recente (original) (raw)
Given the fact that the writer is the most recurrent character in the recent novel production, we question the motives and implications of its incidence. In this regard, we appeal to the metaphor-concept of literary gesture, since literary works are the result of a "real" actits writing and publicationthat by showing the writer as the main character they reveal, under the scope of fiction, what most characterizes the author: the art of writing and the problems that surround it. Therefore, according to the definition of gesture by Agamben, more than metalanguage, such literary works "communicate a communicability", in this case, of the "media" literature. The pragmatic dimension can deal with the appeal given by the literary works, which is implemented through the ambiguous pact (uncertain between fiction and autobiography) that they impose. Due to the comprehensive type of approach we propose, which is focused on some frequent topic in the prestigious center of the Brazilian literary field, we extracted a representative corpus of this scene, with authors that have solid careers and that often bring the writer-character as the protagonist in their literary works.
