Internships are an increasingly popular element of higher education in business and provide many potential benefits to students. The objective of the study is exploring potential benefit and challenges of internship of undergraduate students who completed their intern from the Faculty of Commerce and Management, Eastern University, Sri Lanka recently in fulfilling the requirements of industrial attachment. The research study employed structured questionnaires for 100 respondents through censes study. The results indicate moderate level of perceived satisfaction from the majority of the students regarding internship programme. Further there is a positive relationship between satisfaction of intern and benefit and a negative relationship between satisfaction of intern and challenges. This study aims to determine the internship satisfaction of tourism students and the impact of their internships on their professional development and industrial perception. In line with this purpose, an implementation was conducted on the students of Akdeniz University Faculty of Tourism. This implementation involved a questionnaire form which was filled by 305 faculty students. The findings included demographic information; then three scaled questionnaire form which intended to determine the internship satisfaction, vocational tourism education, and professional development and industrial perception of the students was analyzed by taking mean scores of the scales of the form; using stepwise regression of the multiple regression analysis, the relations between the scales were shown, and the results were interpreted. The results showed that internship satisfaction of the students had a positive impact and impact by itself on professional development and industrial perspective, and together with vocational tourism education the students receive, this impact increased.

Lyceum of the Philippines University educates and trains students to be competitive by providing them with applied learning opportunities that require talented workers and rank among the best in the world in terms of productivity, career, attitude and technical skills. This study aimed to assess the level of performance of the interns as a result of the evaluation by the manager or immediate supervisors of the different establishments where the CITHM interns where deployed. The researcher utilized the descriptive qualitative design using 50 percent of the interns of second semester 2012-2013 as participants in the area of food and beverage and travel agencies. Results of the study revealed that interns have satisfactory level in academic performance. In training performance they were rated as very good in terms of knowledge, skills, attitude and personality. This study also revealed that there is no significant relationship between the academic performance and the training performance.

Internship is a profession-oriented learning technique translating the knowledge into professional skills. This study explores the relationship between student development and internship satisfaction among graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management program at the Philippine College Foundation. It focuses on the dimensions of student development, including trainings, seminars, and instructions, as well as internship satisfaction in terms of task relevance and learning opportunities. A descriptive-correlational research design was utilized, with data collected from graduates through a structured survey. Results indicate that student development is perceived positively, with seminars contributing most to their growth, followed by trainings and instructions. Similarly, internship satisfaction is rated highly, with task relevance receiving slightly higher ratings compared to learning opportunities. The analysis reveals a significant positive relationship between student development and internship satisfaction, highlighting the strong influence of well-structured academic and practical learning experiences on graduates’ professional preparedness. Instructions, in particular, exhibit the strongest correlation with learning opportunities, underscoring the need to ensure alignment between instructional strategies and industry demands. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating experiential learning opportunities, relevant tasks, and effective instruction into academic programs to enhance student preparedness and satisfaction. The study underscores the critical role of academic institutions in fostering holistic student development through programs that bridge theory and practice.

Internship is viewed by many academicians and the industry personnel as an important element in hospitality curricular. Furthermore, a comprehensive internship program will create and develop a very marketable personal that is going to enter the hospitality industry upon graduation. As a result, the industry and the hospitality organization in particular, will receive a competent personal to further enhance their organization, while at the same time, reducing many issues like employee turnover, discipline and performance below par. A Study on Hospitality Students Satisfaction towards their Internship
The present study uses a quantitative approach to investigate students' satisfaction level toward their internship experience in the hospitality and tourism industry as well as identify the underlying factors of their overall satisfaction. A total of 124 usable questionnaires were collected for analysis. The result shows that students' overall satisfaction was low, and internship factor of 'Job itself' had the greatest influence on students' overall satisfaction. Based on the findings of this study, recommendations were provided in order to improve the quality of internship programs.
Internships have been perceived to play an important role in providing work experience to the students along with their academic coursework. Students gain a firsthand experience of working environment, and application of theoretical principles to the real world problems. The internship experiences are perceived to be formed of a number of factors, such as the supervisory support, working environment, level of tasks, and learning gained from the same. These dimensions are relatively unexplored with respect to the practice of internship in UAE, thus the present research was undertaken. The researcher found the result synonymous to previous findings, wherein the validated constructs of comfort with work environment, positive work environment ,personal traits, and developed new skills were found to have a positive impact on internship experience. Internship Performance and Level of Satisfaction of Student-Trainees on Industry Immersion Program

The internship provides extensive training for students that may improve their skills, knowledge, and even attitude that are necessary for their future work. Specifically, this study evaluates the performance of 116 student-trainees in terms of attendance and punctuality, knowledge and quality of work, and general attitude. Feedback reports, experiences of student-trainees, and performance appraisal reports by trainers/supervisors are being used in this study. This paper also aims to determine the level of satisfaction of student-trainees on the industry immersion program in one of the State Universities and Colleges in the Philippines. A descriptive method of research is used with standard instruments enumerated above. Findings show that the respondents performed very satisfactory during their internship. Moreover, the student-trainees are highly satisfied on the industry immersion (IIM) program of the university. The results also show the relationship between the student-trainees' internship performance and the level of satisfaction on industry immersion program. This study may be served as a basis to enhance the program that will benefit the students, academic institution, and cooperating partner industries. Introduction The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is mandated to develop and promote policies, systems, procedures and programs that address globalization, changing policies of trade in goods and services. CHED shall require student exchange established by Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of string with business and industry to promote and provide students with competitive skills and attitudes for employment. In order to promote the well-being of tertiary students, quality of their learning and constant exposure may ensure their safety while undergoing practicum considering the nature of the training course program. This program aims to provide territory enrolled in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines with the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge, skills, and desirable attitudes and values in reputable establishments/industries in the country (CHED, 2009).
