North Nias Regency has one of the organizations engaged in the field of humanitarian social services, namely the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) organization. This organization often helps victims of natural disasters and other health services that adhere to the basic principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies in carrying out their duties and functions. The establishment of the Red Cross Organization in North Nias Regency is inseparable from natural conditions that are often tense and disturbing and even threaten the safety of the community. North Nias Regency is a lowland located near a riverbank, in every rainy season the residential area is often flooded, so that it can interfere with residents' activities. North Nias Regency consists of 11 sub-districts and 1 sub-district, on average every year the 11 sub-districts are definitely hit by floods. With the above natural conditions, all related elements of society play an active role in the prevention and management of these disasters and work together to deal with them. Given the above conditions, this community service activity aims to provide socialization of the Basics of Psychosocial Support (PSP) to the community, in order to gain knowledge on how to deal with and provide assistance in the form of Psychological First Aid (PFA) psychological support to other communities affected by disaster.
