The main thrust of the study was to find out the mediating effect of professional commitment on the relationship between job satisfaction and workplace spirituality among 269 public school teachers in Alabel 3 District of Sarangani Division. This study employed a non-experimental quantitative design utilizing the descriptive correlation technique. The statistical tools used were, mean Pearson r and Path Analysis. Based on the study results, the level of professional commitment and job satisfaction were rated high by the respondents while, they most observed all the time regarding workplace spirituality. Using Pearson r, the results revealed a significant relationship between job satisfaction and workplace spirituality, job satisfaction and professional commitment, and professional commitment and workplace spirituality. The study's findings, based on the path analysis, indicated that professional commitment partially mediates job satisfaction, however, workplace spirituality does not. As a result, the study's findings revealed that professional commitment, a mediating variable, impacted public school teachers' job satisfaction. In terms of pay and benefits, job security, recognition, career development, engagement, and respect, fostering professional dedication can have a favorable impact on job satisfaction.

This study investigated the relationship between workplace spirituality and employees’ job commitment in Lagos Island local government. The study used the descriptive survey research design to select 192 respondents using purposive sampling method. Three hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance using Pearson Product Moment Correlation with the aid of SPSS version 20. Results indicated a strong and statistically significant relationship between the three components of workplace spirituality (meaningful work, inner life, and sense of connection) and three components of employees’ commitment (affective, continuance and normative commitment). Arising from the findings, it was recommended among other things, that Lagos Island local government management should create forums for open discussion on spirituality, values, and rights of employees, and integrate organizational goals and personal goals to increase employees’ commitment. The study examined the effect of workplace spirituality (meaningful work, inner life and community) on employee turnover intention in Nigeria banks mediated by relational psychological contract. Data were collected from a sample of 357 employees in 21 Deposit Money Banks located in Kaduna State. Structural Equation Model was used to explore the effect. Findings revealed that meaningful work has positive, significant effect on employee turnover intention while inner life and community were found to have insignificant effect on employee turnover intention. Relational psychological contract was found to have fully mediating effect between workplace spirituality (inner life, meaningful work and community) and employee turnover intention. The most explanatory variable of the study is the relationship that exists between meaningful work and relational psychological contract. The study recommends that management of Banks should attach more importance to meaningful work and relational psychological contract of employees to reduce employee turnover intention.
Teachers’ Work-Life Balance, Workplace Spirituality and Work Performance: Basis for Management Plan

Achieving a work-life balance and having a workplace spirituality is a necessity for every teacher to thrive in the world of teaching. This study assessed the work-life balance, workplace spirituality and work performance of teachers in Alegria District, Cebu, for the school year 2022-2023 as basis for management plan. The theories used in this study anchored on Work/Family Border Theory and Respectful Pluralism which provide a substantive discussion pertaining to the background of the study. A triangulation mixed method research design was utilized in this study with descriptive correlation for quantitative and thematic analysis for qualitative data. A valid instrument was distributed to 153 respondents in the district of Alegria Cebu. The quantitative results revealed that among the Teachers' Work Life Balance, Workplace Spirituality and Work Performance, self-management and development (0.03) and managing stress (0.00) established significant relationship while the rest did not. For the Teachers' Work Life Balance and Workplace Spirituality, meaningful work under workplace spirituality and managing stress (0.00), family involvement (0.00), job gratification (0.00), managing fun and leisure (0.00), work management (0.00), and time management (0.00) established a significant relationship under work life balance. Only the selfmanagement and development that resulted to no significant relationship. This is also similar to sense of community under the workplace spirituality. The third construct under work place spirituality which is the alignment of value generated a significant relationship to all constructs under work life balance. This means that these two independent variables generated mostly a significant relationship. The qualitative results generated three themes (Theme 1: The Highlights of Teaching, Theme 2: The Weighing Scale, and Theme 3: The Support System) which captured the experiences of the teachers in work-life balance and workplace spirituality. This study concluded that administrators should pay attention as to how teachers are managing their stress as this impact a domino effect to the school's productivity. This study recommends a management plan wherein teachers are given an established support system.
This study examined age, gender, motivation, organisational commitment and spirituality as predictors of job satisfaction among staff of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti. The study adopted a descriptive survey design where a sample of two hundred and sixty-two (262) participants was randomly selected to examine the studied relationships among the variables and how they affect job satisfaction. The results showed that there is a significant relationship with (age, gender, works motivation, organizational commitment and spirituality) as factors responsible for job satisfaction among staff of the Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti state. There was a significant joint contributing effect of the factors (age, gender, works motivation, organizational commitment and spirituality) as factors responsible for job satisfaction among staff of the Federal University Oye Ekiti, Ekiti state. The five (5) factors combined accounted for 45.1% (adj.R2=.451) variation in the prediction of job satisfaction in the organisation under study. The most potent predicting factor for job satisfaction was organisational commitment. Based on the findings, it concluded that all the variables have a significant relationship with job satisfaction. Therefore, higher learning education institutions can use these results to shaping the employees satisfaction and commitment to the organization. In addition, the finding of this study also can help the organization in planning and developing the strategies to enhance the job satisfaction of the employees. This is important to keep the survival of the organization in the global era whereby nowadays it is not easy to make employees to feel obliged and become committed to the organization. . Retention is one of the biggest challenges for today's organizations especially in private secondary schools where there is a high exodus of teachers. The rate of turnover among private companies is on the increase; this situation is not only catastrophic to the manufacturing companies but small business, quality of services is determined by the quality of the staff. The fact that employee are liable to work, there are certain things they should also do to be within the community they work, it is fundamental that their employers create programmes that would make them feel connected to their work environment so that they would want to be retained. This study aimed to examine the role of sense of community and work-family enrichment on employee retention. A survey was conducted on 80 staff recruited by Juhoari enterprise and consulting services in Jos Plateau State. Matter-formism theory was used to explain the relationship that exists between the variables. Using SPSS version 26, results from regression analysis showed a strong positive significant relationship between the variables indicating that increase in sense of community would lead to high retention. Further analysis testing mediating relationship revealed a positive relationship between sense of community and retention. Conclusion showed a statistically significant relationship between sense of community and employee retention when work-family enrichment is used as a mediator. It was recommended that the organizations should enrich the work content of employees; pay more attention on work activities that would enrich family life and create an environment of mutual trust where employees would have a deep connection with one another; as these would make the employees happier, satisfied and remain with the organization.
Workplace spirituality is defined as work situation by which leader and follower have high spirit toward work completion and achievement of organization objectives. The family planning programme in Indonesia evolved from a private endeavour in the 1950s to become a government programme in 1970. One of the determinants of this succesful program is the role of field workers as service employees implementing the family programme. These employees have a role as mediators between goverment office and community. They serve as government officers who are required to communicate effectively with the community regarding the program. This study discusses the role of creative process engagement between leader-fieldworkers-community to enhance job satisfaction and performance of field workers. Drawing from spiritual leadership theory, we examine the role of workplace spirituality and creative process engagement to enhance job satisfaction and performance. Results indicated that workplace spirituality and creative process engagement is requirements to create job satisfaction which then lead to employee performance to implement the government program.

This indicates that emotionally attached teachers stay loyal to their school to prove the existence of workplace spirituality and organizational commitment. 1. INTRODUCTION It is proven empirically that workplace spirituality has a major impact in an organization regardless of whether the organization is a profitable or non-profitable organization (Polley et al., 2005). The ability of the organization to adopt and adapt spirituality in the organization can be key factor to increase productivity, innovation, creativity, performance, and pleasure to work organization. On the other hand, workplace spirituality can bring positive impact on the employee because it brings happiness and joyfulness at work which will make the working meaningful place for the employee (Ashmos and Duchon, 2000; Milliman et al., 2003; Rego and Pina, 2008). Many organizations had used workplace spirituality as an enhancement tool to solve human capital the organization and this created a new phenomenon which is very special (Dhiman and Marques, 2011).

An Initial Approach to Increase Job Satisfaction Through Workplace Spirituality

Job satisfaction is a widely discussed topic in work psychology, but what might be the contributions of recent discussions of workplace spirituality? This research allows a qualitative measure of workplace spirituality relevance by workforce perspective that can be reproduced in other organizations through a questionnaire application. The spiritual factors of the workplace were classified according to the Kano model that identifies the potential for actions and investments to be transformed into job satisfaction. In this application, it was identified that investments in the coherence and purpose of work factors can generate more than proportional satisfaction in the individuals of this organization. The identity, values, cohesion, meaning, and climate of work factors could generate a proportional satisfaction to the investments.
