The COVID-19 pandemic is not only cause turmoil in the health aspect but also spread to the economic sector where most of the economic activity has stopped to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Globally, WHO declared a public health emergency on 30 th January 2020 due to contagious disease caused by a new virus known as novel corona virus or COVID-19. This virus started to spread gradually all over the world being declared as pandemic by WHO on 11 th March 2020. Countries began responding to this severe situation by suggesting their citizens to stay at home and announcing lock down across the nations. Organization's exceptional method of working, prior to Covid-19 pandemic has now become a new normal method to Work from home (WFH) in order to cope up with today's uncertain environment. This paper attempts to throw light on all the aspect of work from home arrangement, providing some food for thought to scholars and academicians. This paper of conceptual nature highlights some of the efforts made by employers that act as factors of quality of work life of employees eligible for work from home arrangement during this pandemic. Due to the prevalence of the unforeseen situation of pandemic, organisations have no other way but to resort to remote work. Business putting priority to quality of work in WFH (Work From Home) arrangement would result in improved employee morale and performance which can help the organisation to achieve its business objectives amidst this pandemic time and gradually resorts to function in the new normal.
Employees’ Work-Life Balance Reviewed From Work From Home Aspect During COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic suddenly made the company inevitably has to run its operational activities in a way of work from home. The sudden change in the operational activity system can have an impact on the work-life balance of employees. In this study, the researchers wanted to know the work-life balance of the employees during the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of work from home. The research method used is a survey method with descriptive verification research type. The data used are primary data obtained from distributing the questionnaire. The results showed that work from home respectively has a positive and significant effect on the work-life balance on the employees. There are dimensions and indicators that are the highest and lowest in constructing each variable and the results of this study are expected to be used by the company to minimize and anticipate the occurrence of negative effects on work-life balance in terms of the aspects of work from home.
IMPACT AND CHALLENGES TOWARDS EMPLOYEES WORK FROM HOME DURING COVID-19 (MCO) PERIOD

Malaysian citizens were in panic due to spreading of covid-19 disease (corona virus) since December 2019. The Malaysian Prime Minister has enforced a movement control order (MCO) on 18th March 2020 as a mitigation effort to reduce community spread and the overburdening of the country's health system. In obeying MCO order, majority of the Malaysian citizens was requested to stay indoor in avoiding outside activities. Few industries in Malaysia were requested to work from home (WFH) such as telecommunication, human resource, academic, insurance, marketing sectors and many more. Generally, work from home can provide advantages and disadvantages to the workers especially during a severe pandemic situation. Malaysian publics are in varied of feelings and emotions due to covid-19 impact. On top of this, they are requested to comply job duties from home. Thus, this study is mainly to examine the impact of working from home and to identify the challenges faced by employees those working from home. The result showed that, working from home give positive impact on saving cost and time, productivity, finished task on time and work life balance.

Global pandemic COVID-19 has left many workers being unable to travel to work in order to limit the transmission of the virus. In fast-paced urban areas, both companies and workers are looking for alternate work options. Most, if not all, employees were forced to operate from home due to the epidemic. As a result, Work from home (WFH) has become a strategic concern for most firms. Companies and employees should be considered WFH while formulating plans. Even though working from home is now available, the current situation provides a unique look at how well the arrangement works. This information might be useful for future legislation that alter the present arrangement of working hours. Examining the problems that businesses and employees in India face requires the use of a SWOT analysis and an exploratory approach. Determining if this employment arrangement is temporary or permanent will also be considered.

Many firms and Mnc's started working from home due to the spread of coronavirus. Working environment and workplace for the people completely changed. The work-from-home culture has significant effects on one's life. Fundamentally, this has changed how people live and work. Many challenges and problems were faced by people staying at home and working. Work from home confines employees to stay at home and reduces face-to-face communication which reduces the spread of Covid-19. But working from home has various impacts on one's productivity and wellbeing. Moreover, telecommuting and teleworking have become new ways of working. The research aims at the impact of working from home on Indian employees. To study the impact of working efficiency, mental health, work-life balance, physical health, and working environments. A questionnaire is being prepared for data collection. A total of 137 responses were collected which included 17 questions all based on productivity, companies support, work-life balance, family and professional conflicts, and physical and mental health. Hence, suitable insights are being gathered.

Covid-19 pandemic has enforced the concept 'Work from Home' (WFH) into an officially mandated, strictly enforced rule. Now, WFH concept is emerging from all sectors, from IT sectors to teaching sectors. WFH concept is new to majority of the employees, as the COVID 19 has forced almost all the employees of all the sectors to work from home for the first time. As the employees are experiencing new environment, this paper attempts to find out the experience of the employees in working from home when compared to Working in office. The study found that willingness to work from home is entirely dependent on presence of their children at home, comfortable space at home, quiet environment at home and good internet connectivity. Most of the respondents are also of opinion that even if they are ready to work from home they do not like to work from home

Due to the deadly virus the work culture has seen an upheaval in lifestyle of people and their work ethics. Work from home culture has been adopted by many organizations because of the pandemic at the threshold of all the nations. The work from home culture is demanding employees to be flexible and responsive to change and cope up with the new normal. The status quo needs employers and employees to be supple and be innovative so that the employees are productive and systematic in their daily chores. This study is conducted to know how work from home culture and work life balance is adapted by employees in India during the pandemic. The research was conducted for individuals working in different sectors who worked from home and adapted the new culture during the pandemic. The interlocutor stated their level of satisfaction and dissatisfaction regarding their task, assurance of their jobs and organizations decision. While working from home employees are facing major barriers like internet connectivity, fraternize with co-workers and apprehension due to pandemic. Unequivocally employees have every aid from their team while working from home and telecommunicating helps them to increase their potency and thereby feel motivated. Change can be beautiful when we are courageous to evolve with it. Austerity and confrontation are part and parcel of every individual's life and they enhance qualities, teach us important lessons and give us unique experiences. This research report will help us to understand how employees of different sectors are coping up with the new normal and work from home culture during the current pandemic situation.

Currently, many countries around the globe including Indonesia are hugely affected by a novel pandemic COVID-19. This pandemic has impacted the economic and social sectors as well as caused dramatic changes in work patterns. Many employees are forced to shift their current working style from the office to work from home (WFH). This study aims to determine the impact of WFH on employee performance and to provide information regarding the advantages and disadvantages of WFH during the COVID-19 pandemic from the employee perspective. This exploratory study used the descriptive method and the data were obtained from the responses of 75 employees that are currently on WFH at different sectors in Surabaya. Evidently, 63% of the respondents are private employees, followed by 33% of them belongs to government employees, and 4% of employees have their state-owned enterprises. The study unfolds the impact of work from home on employees in terms employee work-life balance during the Covid-19 lockdown period in Sri Lanka. The research approach is mixed method and data was gathered through questionnaire survey and structured telephone interviews. The research findings indicate that the impact of work from home on work-life balance of employees differs from employee to employee. Further, the research findings unveil that there is a significant impact of work hours of an employee during work from home period on employee-work life balance.
