İlköğretim Online, 2021

This article focuses on the examination of prejudice against Islam and Muslim community immigrants in the Western world. The literature contained explains the anti-Muslim bigotry at the state level by multiple factors. Additionally, this article conducts a historical, descriptive, and critical analysis of Islamophobic origin, frames, enabling factors, dissemination strategies, along with its impact on the Muslim community residing in the western world. Furthermore, reasons behind the Islamophobic culture has also been mentioned and explained. Moreover, this study vastly explains the impact of pandemic-COVID 19 on spreading of Islam and Muslim hatred among the west people. Emphases have also been laid upon the strategies which should be adopted to counter attack the concept of Muslims as "Others" in the western world. The innovative role played by the Muslim leaders and Islamic world is also discussed which can contribute to fight the prejudiced mindset about Islam and its followers. Specifically, findings have suggested that in the perspective of historical importance of Islamophobia, the main cause behind it is that western world is unaware of the basic teachings and purpose of Islam. They have very limited or maybe no knowledge about the Muslims. This factor is contributing majorly in raising the hatred among west and Muslim. Due to this, Muslims are facing disastrous conditions there in the west, regarding their living standards, employment, education, or even their social interactions are highly compromised. Muslims have been labeled there as "Inferior", and "Terrorists" based just upon their physical attire i.e., men with beards and women with hijab. All these biased concepts can be eradicated if the Muslim world unites and take bold steps to spread the real message of Islam as a religion of peace, harmony, justice, and equality. Several platforms can be utilized for this purpose including social media, refining literature and educating people, through speeches at universal platforms as UN assembly.

Strategic Teachings Of Islam And Counter Mechanism To Prevent Islamophobia In Contemporary Scenario

Increased immigration and the presence of Muslims in multicultural cultures have given rise to ideas like "Islamophobia," which are then used to justify actions taken by non-Muslims against Muslims in the Diaspora. Islamophobia manifests in various ways, where traditional West-Christian beliefs and the Occident vs. the Orient tensions are brought to the fore. This interaction establishes norms favouring the majority against minorities, along with inclusion, exclusion, and hegemony. As a result, power systems have been established that influence Muslims' access to religious freedom. Thus, this study demonstrates a deeper understanding of Islamophobia, including its components, challenges, and impacts, in addition to analysing the approaches and initiatives that may be taken to stop and eradicate Islamophobia. After departing from the theoretical components of Islamophobia, the study moves on to extensive interviews with Islamic scholars and theoretical investigation. The research shows that Islamophobia is pervasive in contemporary mixed society and ethnic interactions. Therefore, it must be acknowledged as a significant issue that requires national and global attention. As a result, the growth of inter-ethnic and inter-religious conflict and the conflict of human civilizations would rather be a forgotten past than a present-day reality.

E-ISSN: 2 22 2 -6990 Light of The Values of Islamic Preaching

Terrorism represents a dangerous contemporary problem deeply rooted in history. Terrorism still forms, today, a great danger to different societies. This terrorism has its causes and the roots that gave rise to it. It has motives that made its protagonists freely allow themselves to do their terrorist actions, regardless of their effects on the lives of individuals and societies; politically, economically, as to security and psychologically. Due to non-Muslims' enmety to Islam, its vocation and its followers, they have been directing accusations of terrorism to Islam and Muslims; as soon as an incident takes place, all people hasten to direct accusations of terrorism against Islam and its mission, as well as Muslims and their faith. From the above discussion, we see the importance of the present research, which has attempted to define the concept of terrorism from the perspective of Islamic vocation and to study its causes and motives and how to face it in the light of the genuine values of Islamic preaching. All these values assert legal values and means and scientific tools(media) that assure for the society a life secure about souls, wealth and honor. The research has resulted in some important results and recommendations , including: asserting that Islamic mission or preaching is not part of the problem of terrorism ; rather it is a forceful basis and an effective tool to remedy its causes and putting an end to it according to the divine criteria through implanting the values of tolerant Islamic preaching. It is far from bigotry {fanaticism} and extremist interpretation that gives texts undue interpretations. Also the philosophy of Islamic vocation aims essentially at building a social structure caring for relating the individual to the society through solidarity, love and belonging in order to keep the stability of the society. Furthermore, terrorism cannot be ascribed only to the religious factor, for there are other factors which may be more important than the religious factor such as poverty, unemployment and misunderstanding the religious calling. Also the research proved that the phenomenon of terrorism is a western phenomenon rather than being related to Islam.

Islamophobia: In terms of Migration, Media, Populism and Reflection to the Diasporic Muslim Origin Subjects

This paper stems from the increasing discontent against Muslims especially who are situated as diasporic subject among Western states have the significant share in the raising voices against Islam due to cultural differences, consequences of globalization; inequality, unemployment, poverty, discrimination and changing perception of Islam because of the chain of incidents conducted by terrorist organizations under the umbrella of Islam. Moreover, dissatisfaction has turned into racism against Muslims. In order to perceive the current situation, we should scrutinize the dynamics of the concerned states; socio-economic status, culture, integration of Muslim origin migrants, the effect of globalization. Another aspect of the phenomenon is the rising of radical so-called Islamist movements, for instance, ISIS, Al -Qaeda, Boko Haram etc. It would be futile to evaluate Islamophobia, intensifying right-wing populist discourse, cultural racism and radicalization without considering the impulse of the other significant factor as we mention above.

Islam has been misunderstood religion by the West, mainly due to the media's focus on just negative associations such as oppression, war, and terror, fist waving, or jumping on burning flags. The negative propaganda and projection of other religions would also yield the same results.
