D2.7 Conceptual Model & Reference Architecture (original) (raw)

PolicyCLOUD D4.3 Reusable Model & Analytical Tools: Design and Open Specification 2

2022

This document is the second architecture deliverable for WP4. It is an incremental update of PolicyCLOUD deliverable D4.1, and as such it repeats some of the content and adds new developments and work to do. It provides an update of the architecture of the Data Acquisition and Analytics Layer. As such, it details the included data analytic and transformation tools, the cloud platform and software tools that are planned at this point to be used for the implementation of the PolicyCLOUD platform towards the demonstration in D4.4 Reusable Model & Analytical Tools: Software Prototype 2. In essence, the Data Acquisition and Analytics Layer provides an extensible framework for data source and analytic tools, controlling the full data pass from the data sources through filtering, transformation and initial analytic, to hot storage and then to cold storage while enabling deeper analytics by the registered analytic tools on the ingested data at any time. We added for each sub-section (or whe...

D2.2 Conceptual Model & Reference Architecture

2020

The PolicyCLOUD Conceptual Model & Reference Architecture are presented in this report (Deliverable D2.2) released in M8 of the project. Updates of the deliverable will be published in M18 and M30. The PolicyCLOUD Conceptual Model presents the overall project concept along 2 main axes. Along the first data axis PolicyCLOUD delivers Cloud Gateways and APIs to model the data sources and adapt to their interfaces so as to simplify interaction and data collection from any source. Along the second main axis the Policies Management Framework of PolicyCLOUD is exploited for the definition of forward-looking policies which are dynamically adapted and methodically focused on the population that are applied on. Five layered building blocks define its Architecture: (1) The Cloud Based Environment and Data Acquisition, (2) Data Analytics, (3) the Policies Management Framework, (4) the Policy Development Toolkit and (5) The Marketplace. The architecture includes a Data Governance Model, Protecti...

D2.6 Conceptual Model & Reference Architecture

2021

This document provides the first update to the Conceptual Model and Reference Architecture of PolicyCLOUD (the initial document has been submitted as Deliverable D2.2). This second version (Deliverable D2.6) provides the definition of the overall architecture and its components, focuses on the integration aspects of the architecture and presents example scenarios and associated data sources from the project's Use Cases including end-to-end data path analysis. The final update of the deliverable will be published in M30. A second version of the PolicyCLOUD Conceptual Model & Reference Architecture (originally submitted as Deliverable D2.2) is presented in this document. The final update of the deliverable will be submitted in M30. The PolicyCLOUD Conceptual Model presents the overall project concept along 2 main axes. Along the first data axis PolicyCLOUD delivers Cloud Gateways and APIs to access data sources and adapt to their interfaces so as to simplify interaction and data c...

Policy Cloud D5.1 Methods for Cloud Use by Public Authorities

2022

This document is the third of the series of deliverables under WP5, which aims to realize the overall goal of policy modelling, making and implementation, enabling the analysis of data to be directly exploited in different phases of the policy lifecycle. This deliverable has been submitted in August 2021 (M20 of the project), and its main goal is to provide a methodology and a set of adaptable techniques for the creation of policies exploiting Cloud infrastructures and big data technologies on top of these infrastructures. To this end, the proposed methodology will specify how to exploit the value of different mechanisms (e.g., data modelling, semantic representation and interoperability, analytics, etc.) during the policy lifecycle (from modelling to implementation) in the scope of Cloud environments. The document aims at Policycloud participants and stakeholders, involved in the topics of data, big data and Cloud computing, and the wider community of public administrations (PAs), ...

D6.12 Use Cases Implementation and Experimentation M24

2021

This document is an incremental update of deliverable D6.4 and provides a description of the end-to- end (E2E) scenarios that will explore how policy makers will effectively use Policy Cloud platform as a part of the experimentation process. The given scenarios will include the different steps required in order to perform the modelling, implementation and validation of the policies and include details of the necessary configurations settings needed in order to determine the output for the visualisation. The E2E stories will be used to experiment the adaptability of the Policy Cloud platform in conjunction with several use case-based scenarios. This document will include at least one additional scenario from each pilot, currently under development and integration, and further details on additional scenarios that will be included in the upcoming deliverable D6.13 Use Cases Implementation & Experimentation M36 due in December 2022. The experimentation process for software usually consi...

D1.4 Data Management Plan M24

2021

This document provides the second update to the Data Management Plan for the PolicyCLOUD project according to the Open Research Data Pilot guidelines and definition. This deliverable is the third version of the Data Management Plan (DMP) [1] for the PolicyCLOUD project, released in month 24 (December 2021) of the project. It provides an updated description of the project's datasets according to FAIR principles. The overall purpose of this document is to support the data management lifecycle for all data that will be collected, stored, processed or generated by the project in order to maximise its access, according to the H2020 Pilot on Open Research Data (ORDP) in which the project participates. A Data Management strategy is defined to provide the general rules and mechanisms for the access management of project data. Each dataset in the project is identified and described and information is provided on to which extent it is standard compliant, and how the data will be available...

Policy Core Information Model -- Version 1 Specification

2001

This document specifies an Internet standards track protocol for the Internet community, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements. Please refer to the current edition of the "Internet Official Protocol Standards" (STD 1) for the standardization state and status of this protocol. Distribution of this memo is unlimited.

PolicyCLOUD: A prototype of a cloud serverless ecosystem for policy analytics

Data & Policy

We present PolicyCLOUD: a prototype for an extensible serverless cloud-based system that supports evidence-based elaboration and analysis of policies. PolicyCLOUD allows flexible exploitation and management of policy-relevant dataflows, by enabling the practitioner to register datasets and specify a sequence of transformations and/or information extraction through registered ingest functions. Once a possibly transformed dataset has been ingested, additional insights can be retrieved by further applying registered analytic functions to it. PolicyCLOUD was built as an extensible framework toward the creation of an analytic ecosystem. As of now, we have developed several essential ingest and analytic functions that are built-in within the framework. They include data cleaning, enhanced interoperability, and sentiment analysis generic functions; in addition, a trend analysis function is being created as a new built-in function. PolicyCLOUD has also the ability to tap on the analytic cap...
