Abstract
ABSTRACT A simple and alternative method has been developed for the synthesis of 4-benzylidene-2-phenyl-5(4H)-oxazolones via reactions of hippuric acid with various aldehydes in the presence of 2-chloro-4,6-dimethoxy-1,3,5-triazine/N-methylmorpholine at 75 °C.Supplemental materials are available for this article.
