Our study aims to determine the factors that affect the entrepreneurial intention of university students. In order to reach this goal, the research was divided into two main parts: The first was a theoretical aspect of entrepreneurial intention determinants. In the second, a questionnaire survey was handed out to 146 students from Medea University, after that, the data was analyzed using SmartPLS 3 program. The results of the identified Structural Equation Model (SEM) show that the main determinant of entrepreneurial intention is the attitude towards entrepreneurship, while showing that there is no statistically significant effect of personality traits, entrepreneurial education and training, and self-efficacy on entrepreneurial intention.

Despite the rapid expansion of women’s entrepreneurship research there is a dearth of studies exploring the intersection or simultaneity of gender and developing country within the entrepreneurship field. Entrepreneurial environment is central to student entrepreneurship. Previous research has attempted to understand the role of entrepreneurship environment in the formation of Women student's Entrepreneurial Intention (WEI), albeit in an isolated manner. This study combines a multi-level framework. We have hypothesized two dimensions of macrosocial environment, that is, perceived university support, and perceived institutional support. In addition, perceived social network and subjective norms as the fundamental elements of the microsocial environment affecting the intention to start a business.
Factors affecting entrepreneurial intention and entrepreneurial attitudes among rural Tunisian women
Acta Carolus Robertus, 2023
Entrepreneurship is strongly affected by the intentions and attitude of an entrepreneur. Women entrepreneurs are the most important elements of success in all communities, but they are most often neglected by society which leads to a different attitude and intention of women towards entrepreneurship as compared to men. Both societal and familial factors are responsible for the development of the entrepreneurial attitude and intentions of an individual. Tunisian society is more rigid towards women's entrepreneurship due to the presence of patriarchal nature which causes a lower interest of women in business activities. This review provides insight into the factors responsible for the attenuation of entrepreneurial attitude (EA) and entrepreneurial intentions (EI) among rural women of Tunisia. We reviewed previous literature for this cause and tried to identify the most prominent effects of societal, cultural and familial factors affecting the EA and EI of women residing in rural Tunisia. Results from the data yield some factors which had a direct or indirect influence on the EA and EI of rural Tunisian women which included social capital, family support (Husband and parents), entrepreneurial education, entrepreneurial training, regional context (Culture), selfefficacy, pull factor, an emotional factor, lack of managerial skills, risk-taking, role model (Parental and organizational) and reference groups.

The present paper examined the impact of entrepreneurship education on students' intention to start up a business. Using a sample of Tunisian students aged between 22 and 25 from two big Tunisian universities, namely those of Sfax and Sousse, we proposed to determine the significant factors influencing their entrepreneurial intention. Applying the ordered logistic regression, our econometric results revealed that the composite variables which are the students' internal and external socio-cultural background, their profiles in terms of theoretical and practical knowledge in new business start-up and their personal characteristics (age, gender and, above all, educational level), are the most determining variables affecting their intention to engage in business start-ups. The gender variable has no significant effect on entrepreneurial behavior.

Although the study is subject to some limitations, it is believed that these limitations can be overcome with further studies. International conference on advances in business, management and law, 2019
This empirical study aims at assessing the attitudes, perception and intention of university students towards entrepreneurship and new venture creation with a focus on gender differences in entrepreneurial perceptions and intentions to start new business in the future. Data were collected using a questionnaire-based survey of 350 students at the University of Khartoum in Sudan. The target population was the students in the final year in the University of Khartoum. The stratified sampling technique was used to select the sample size because the population consisted of a number of subgroups that differed in their characteristics. The results showed significant differences between genders in entrepreneurial intentions and its antecedents. Thus, it is important that customized approaches based on gender are needed for developing entrepreneurial intentions among college students.
