Impact of Employee Engagement on Organization Citizenship Behaviour

This article is commissioned to study the level of Engagement in a construction organization located in Chennai, India and its impact on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour. It is highly important to know the level of Engagement in an Organization and act upon the results for growth of the Organization. Engagement is often related to productivity and Turnover. But less importance is given to the Behavioural impact of Employee Engagement. Therefore this study focuses on the impact of Employee Engagement on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour. A sample of 194 Respondents were chosen from the total Population using simple random sampling. Statistical tools like Regression and Correlation were used and Percentage Analysis was done. It was found that Employee Engagement has a very significant impact on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour. Key words: Employee Engagement, Organizational Citizenship Behaviour

Impact of Job Engagement and Job Satisfaction on Employee's Organizational Citizenship Behavior: An Empirical Study on Private Universities in Bangladesh

Human resource is considering the fuel for any organization. Competitive world is choosing the new technology though the need of skill manpower in inevitable. To achieve the competitive advantage through employee's voluntary involvement, the organizations need the to ensure the job engagement and job satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the impact of job engagement and job satisfaction on employee's organizational citizenship behavior. The research sample is collected from 5 private universities in Bangladesh and the number of respondents was 100 university faculties. By using the convenience sampling technique, the responses were collected and analyzed. The research model analysis method uses Partial Least Square (PLS) with SMART PLS Ver 3.0 software. Empirical findings prove that job satisfaction has a positive impact on employee's organizational citizenship behavior, while job satisfaction is independent. And also, employee engagement positively affects employee's organizational citizenship behavior. The research findings will help managerial implications, in increasing high employee involvement, motivation needs to be encouraged to be more active and innovative, and facilitate the achievement of the desired results.

The Effect of Organizational Commitment and Employee Engagement towards Employee Performance through Organization Citizenship Behaviors

This study aims to examine the relationship between variables consisting of organizational Commitment, employee engagement, Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), and Employee Performance. The mediating role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) explains to analyze the results directly or indirectly. Methodology -Research respondents are permanent employees of Bank Sulut Go in the Java area. A total of 73 respondents sampled in this study. The analysis technique is descriptive and linear regression for confirmation on a structural equation model built by the researcher and path analysis. The quantitative approach was chosen to explain the influence between research variables. Data collection using online questionnaires. Research Findings -The results show that organizational commitment and employee engagement with employee performance through mediation Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) have a significant effect. Then Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on employee performance also has a significant effect. The organizational commitment to employee performance and employee engagement to employee performance has no significant effect. At the same time, organizational commitment to employee performance and employee engagement with employee performance has a significant effect. Originality -Research makes organizational commitment variable on employee performance and does not significantly influence the originality of this study. Several previous researchers who tested organizational commitment variables on employee performance showed a significant effect, so the research results have differences that complement theories for future research.

The Effect of Employee Engagement and Job satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB)

This study aims to see the effect of employee attachment and job satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) on lecturers at Universitas Negeri Padang. The populations in this study were 905 UNP lecturers with civil servant status. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people who were determined as respondents. The analysis tool used is Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that (1) the attachment of employees has no significant effect on OCB, (2) the attachment of employees has a significant effect on job satisfaction, (3) job satisfaction has a significant effect on OCB, and (4) the attachment of employees has a significant effect on OCB through job satisfaction.

The goal of the study is to examine the effect of Employee Engagement (EE) as an independent variable on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) as a dependent variable. The study was carried out in an Egyptian public university (Ain Shams University). The data was collected through questionnaires distributed to faculty members. The sample consisted of 318 questionnaires valid for statistical analysis. The methodology used was regression analysis, and structured equation model (path analysis). The study found a positive direct effect of EE on OCB.

The Relationship between Organizational Citizenship Behavior and Employee Engagement in Cement Industry in Egypt

The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between employee engagement and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in Cement industry in Egyptian culture. Now days most of organizations give increase importance to employee engagement and employees' satisfaction survey, all that because of the noticeable positive effects when applied. One of the most important consequences is the improving of citizenship behavior in the organizations. So we are trying to investigate the relationship between Employee engagement as independent construct and OCB as a dependent construct in a private cement company in Egypt. A sample of 350 employees is planned to be used supported by HR group of the Titan cement company in Egypt through using paper and pencil survey which designed to measure the vigor, dedication, and absorption as an Employee engagement dimensions, and to measure conscientiousness, altruism, courtesy, sportsmanship, and civic virtue as OCB dimensions without testing any mediating or moderating roles for other construct. Findings suggest that Employee engagement has a direct significant positive relationship between employee engagement and OCB for employees working in cement industry in Egypt. So, the final results of this study is to be ready and able to start collecting data and analyze it to find this relationship and to figure out if there are any differences between the literature results of other industries and cultures, and our results when applying in specifically cement employees and specially in Egypt culture.

Employee Engagement: Determinants and Its Influence on Organizational Commitment

Employee engagement is one of the most significant functions of human resource management. An organization's success and sustainability are directly associated with employee engagement. Effective employee engagement has a positive impact on organizational commitment. Multiple factors like career growth, involvement, interpersonal relationship, clarity and work-environment are directly associated with employee engagement, leading to organisational commitment. The present study focuses on assessing the Influence of various employee engagement constructs on an organizational commitment by developing a conceptual framework. The respondents for the survey are selected through the non-probability purposive sampling method. The questions were pre-tested with 100 respondents to find any irregularities. Finally, the pre-tested questionnaire was distributed to 600 respondents. Various statistical tools like descriptive analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling are used to evaluate the collected data. The Path Coefficient of the model fit values represents career growth, involvement, interpersonal relationship, clarity, and work environment positively influence employee engagement and organizational commitment is well-fitted with the data. The Path Coefficient of the structural model further revealed that the work environment was the most important factor, followed by career growth, clarity, involvement, and interpersonal relationships.

Employee Engagement and Organizational Effectiveness: The Role of Organizational Citizenship Behavior

In order to achieve and sustain organizational effectiveness, through employees' increased contributions, organizations, apart from task proficiency, becoming increasingly reliant on employees' discretionary efforts at workplace. To take part in their potent inclination, this paper intends to explore employee engagement and OCB literatures to investigate the interrelationships between employee engagement, OCB, and organizational effectiveness. A retrospective analysis is carried out of existing theoretical and empirical research studies to support the associative interrelationship between employee engagement, OCB, and organizational effectiveness. This integrative review subsequently considers two alternative models and propositions to establish causal relationships between employee engagement, OCB, and organizational effectiveness. Findings indicate that employee engagement has potential to drive OCB. Engaged employees also have the greatest potential to augment organizational effectiveness through their higher levels of OCB. This study suggests that value-based organizations through their HR architecture should adopt high performance HR practices to sustain high levels of employee engagement, since the psychological mechanism of engagement drives OCB by which an organization achieves effectiveness. Furthermore, this study mainly focuses on employees as engaged in their work roles, since these employees are highly capable of stimulating positive workplace behaviors and organizational performance. The study contributes to employee engagement and organizational effectiveness literatures by adding the notion of employee engagement as a significant antecedent of organizational effectiveness through OCB.
