Stress is defined as a sudden change that occurs in our mind, body, or emotions. Perceived stress includes thoughts about how unpredictable and uncontrollable one's life is, how frequently one needs to deal with annoying hassles, how much change is occurring in one's life, and confidence in one's capacity to handle issues or serious problems. Job satisfaction is a result of a mix of psychological, physiological, and environmental factors. It is the outcome of numerous specific attitudes in three different categories, namely, specific job factors, individual characteristics, and group relationships outside of the workplace. Teachers play a vital role in the development and enrichment of students. An ideal teacher can easily make the teaching-learning process more interesting and effective. On the other side, the teacher who is dominated by stress makes the teaching-learning process duller. Most of the teachers in secondary schools including Government and Private do not perform their best due to their perceived stress on job satisfaction. Several factors such as school environment, age, salary structure, sex, and locality play a significant role in job satisfaction among teachers. Descriptive survey research is conducted by the researcher to find out the role of perceived stress. Several important tools have been used by the researcher to conduct this research smoothly and find out effective results. The results showed that there is a difference between Private and Government school teachers, between male and female teachers of private schools, and between male and female teachers of a government school on Perceived Stress. It also showed that there is a difference between male and female teachers of Private and Government schools and male and female teachers of government schools on their job satisfaction. After completing this research, it is also seen that there is no difference between Private and Government school teachers on job satisfaction. This research aims to develop the curiosity among the readers and promote other researchers to further research regarding the role of perceived stress on job satisfaction in several fields.
JOB SATISFICATION AND STRESS AMONG SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS IN SIVAGANGA DISTRICT, TAMILNADU, INDIA
This study looks at job satisfaction and stress among secondary school teachers in the Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu, India. The primary goal of this study was to determine job satisfaction and stress levels among secondary school teachers in the Sivangai district of Tamil Nadu. India. To determine whether there are significant differences in job satisfaction and stress among secondary school teachers based on demographic variables such as gender, age, school location, type of institution, monthly income and family type. This study adopted the Descriptive survey method. The study targeted a total of 150 secondary school teachers. The current study's sample was chosen using a random sampling method. A random sampling method is used to select secondary school teachers from the 150 sivagangai district of tamilnadu as the study sample. The current study used a "questionnaire" as a tool developed by the investigator through a systematic and comprehensive procedure in the design. In this study Job Satisfaction and Stress Scale prepared by the investigator. The reliability coefficient of the questionnaire for teachers was calculated using the split-half method in the present study. The questionnaire's reliability coefficient was found to be 0.76. A majority of the secondary school teachers are dissatisfied with teaching and if given an opportunity would leave teaching for other professions. According to the study, it is critical for the government and other education stakeholders to ensure a high level of career satisfaction for highly qualified and experienced teachers.

Examining the antecedents of job stress on job satisfaction among school teachers in India
The goal of ourresearch is to identify the antecedents of stress in Indian school teachers and their job satisfaction in accordance to the stressors. In this study the data was collected through a survey which was conducted in various cities of India. The dependent variables in this research are job stress and job satisfaction and independent variables in our study are parental harassment, staff relationship and peer relations. According to the study conducted it was found while most of the respondents were stressed and nervous with their jobs but majority of the respondents were also satisfied with the amount of salary they were receiving even after working under stressful conditions. This study helped us in understanding the types of stress that are present in the field of teaching and to get in the minds of the teachers and what they actually feel about their work and the stress present in the same.
JOB SATISFACTION IN RELATION TO STRESS AND BIOGRAPHIC VARIABLES OF SECONDARY SCHOOL TEACHERS
Job satisfaction has always been a flash point of discussion among the researchers and scholars since long. This study aimed to examine Job Satisfaction in relation to Stress and Anxiety among Secondary School Teachers using descriptive research method. The attempt was made to identify the level of job stress and job satisfaction among teachers in consideration with their gender differences along with age and experiences. Data was collected by three different tools Job Satisfaction scale by Mudgil, Perceived Stress scale (pss) by Cohen and IPAT Anxiety scale by Kapoor in January 2014 from 200 Teachers of Kapurthala district and S.B.S Nagar (Punjab). The data were analyzed using 2 × 2 Factorial Design Analysis of Variance. Job satisfaction was found to be significantly related with stress and anxiety. Further job satisfaction of government school teachers was found to be higher than private school teachers. This paper examines the impact on employee's satisfaction from the job because of stress at job, particularly on teachers. A sample of 200 employees from the 30 private institutions/universities from North India was used for this analysis. Job stress was measured by workload (no. of hours of lecturing, practices, tutorials and other activities such as class size, various exam evaluations etc.) and workplace environment (such as freedom, timings, career development opportunities etc). Prior studies in different firms indicate that the more stressed workload coupled with stressed workplace environment would severe negatively affect the employee's job satisfaction. This exploratory research focuses on private institutions/universities and employed faculty members and results that overall employee's job satisfaction was very poor.
An Effect Of Occupational Stress On Job Satisfaction Of Private School Teachers

This research study is an attempt to assess the occupational stress (Distress) felt by the private school teacher and its effect on their job satisfaction. A Cluster sampling method has been followed to select the respondents. There are 94 private schools under Mudalagi BEO Zone, among them 25 schools were selected. 100 (four teachers from each school) teachers were selected from different private schools. Stress is an inevitable phenomenon in everybody's life. So teachers are also not free from distress. The research found that an increase in occupational stress (Distress) leads to a decrease in the job satisfaction of the teachers. Stress is negatively and significantly related to the job satisfaction of the teachers. Occupational stress is not only affecting job satisfaction but also the performance of the teachers.
Study of relationship between occupational stress and job satisfaction of degree college teachers

The present investigation was to compare the relationship between occupational stress and psychological well-being among Private and Public Sector Employee. The sample consisted of 120 male and female Private and Public Sector Employee working at various manufacturing industries in Rajkot city. Srivastava & Singh's (1984) "Occupational stress Scale" and Bhogle & Prakash's (1995) "Psychological will-being Questionnaire" were administrated to them. Karl Pearson's correlation method yielded negative and significant correlation between occupational stress and psychological well-being among Private and Public Sector Employee. Moreover highstress group has been found to have higher correlation between occupational stress and psychological well-being than moderate stress group and low stress group.
Occupational Stress and Job Satisfaction Among Indian Secondary School Teachers
In this paper, empirical evidence on the differences in the occupational stress among teachers of secondary schools in Uttar Pradesh (U.P.), India with respect to job satisfaction are provided. The population for the study consisted of 608 teachers, chosen from 41 schools of Eastern and Western districts in U.P. The Teachers Occupational Stress Scale (TOSS) and Teachers Job Satisfaction Scale (TJSS) were employed for the data collection, while the correlation techniques, analysis of variance, and t-test were used for statistical analysis. This study gives ample evidence that in secondary schools the majority of teachers face less stress towards their occupation than?. Male teachers exhibited more occupational stress towards their job as compared to females. This study validates the finding that teachers, in general, were moderately satisfied with their job; females enjoyed more satisfaction in their job than their male colleagues. The results of the analysis confirmed a negative correlation (r= -0.81) of occupational stress with teachers’ job satisfaction. Moreover, the results clearly show that as the job satisfaction of the teachers’ increased, their occupational stress decreased, accordingly. Teachers with high occupational stress levels were less satisfied, as compared to moderate and more satisfied, and there were no major differences in both the teachers in the less, moderate and more job satisfaction groups, regarding their occupational stress.
