Editorial - Desempenho e Satisfação no Trabalho
Revista de Carreiras e Pessoas, 2022
Corporate reality coexists with many new tensions. The arrival of the digital world has generated transformations in all aspects in the context of organizations. No exceptions. The algorithm invaded the entire decision-making process. Even among those who imagine keeping "their world" away from the digital order, for the simple reason that their competitor has already done so. All professional choices, including career expectations, already keep all their attention focused on the "data message". This scenario of constant "boiling" generated other dimensions for the job satisfaction construct. Other metrics to measure performance coexist with new tools, including gamification, which define different designs for the professional environment, from recruitment and selection to, for example, performance evaluation. In this trajectory of complete innovation, other motivational tools have redefined the traditional logic implicit in the idea of job satisfaction. In this process, the perception of what organizational support is also gained another representation and another structure. It is in this context, in which the expectations of sharing and mutual benefit between the individual and the organization gained another matrix of knowledge defined by the algorithm, that the theme performance and satisfaction at work became the thematic axis of the articles that make up the second issue of the Volume 12 of the Careers and People Journal. The article that opens this issue of ReCaPe, "Training and development with a focus on gamification: a view of the process from Brazilian consultancies, by researcher Daniel Hank Miri, researcher at the University of Caxias do Sul, by Luana Folchini da Costa, professor at this university and Bruna Silva Grabowski and Débora Kaiser Bragé, also researchers at the University of Caxias do Sul, aims to analyze the process of insertion of gamification practices in Brazilian training and development consulting companies. Also part of the objectives of the study, to identify and describe the stages and difficulties, as well as opportunities and threats of the use of gamification. The research, with a qualitative profile, separated a sample of Brazilian training and development consultancies that were selected based on their performance with gamification and availability of participation. The collection of primary and secondary data involved both interviews followed by documental analysis and activities, as well as direct observation of the tools used in the practices.
“Happiness Management»: Review of scientific literature in the framework of happiness at work
The changes in the world of work and organizations and their impact on people’s lives have raised a new way of approaching the relationship between work and happiness. A bibliometric study is carried out of the works on the economy of happiness that have been published in Spanish between 2000 and 2018. To do so, the EDS-Multidisciplinary search engine (EBSCO Discovery Service) is used, selecting 95 publications that deal with this subject. As a result of the study a greater production of theoretical approaches is found on the subject as opposed to empirical research. In the latter, the works are fundamentally analyzed from the economic and psychological perspective. The clearly growing trend of scientific production on happiness and work has two important aspects: On the one hand, the very time of great changes, which emerges continuously new explanatory and prescriptive paradigms; and, on the other hand, this increase agrees with the end of the economic crisis. Overcoming and leaving behind the preoccupations of this great imbalance of the world economic system has once again focused the interest on making companies more productive and humane, preserving occupational health and improving personal development. In this sense, the urgent need for a multidisciplinary approach to this area from empirical research that contributes to improving relations between the world of work and the subjective well-being of people is highlighted.

2013
By reviewing bibliography on happiness at work, we may say that from a management perspective, this subject is yet poorly explained. So, main reason to conduct this research was he few number of references on organizational happiness in the field of Business and Economics, despite it increasing importance. More specifically, the non-existence of scales to measure happiness at work in Iberia. In this article we aim to propose an exploratory scale to measure happiness at work in Portuguese and Spanish organizations. To do that, we look for primary data collection by using a questionnaire with open questions. The research is qualitative and was conducted applying complementary phases: (1) data collection, (2) storage, (3) coding, (4) indexing system refinement, (5) relational code and (6) identify categories (key concepts). In phases 3, 4, 5, and 6 a content analysis was applied. To analyze the scale robustness in two cultures we have applied Hofstede's model. This model confirms t...

Creativity and innovation for corporate happiness management
Brazilian Journal of Science and Technology, 2017
In the system in which we are currently inserted, happiness and work seem to be completely exclusive words and without any possibility of association. The following study intends to show that it is possible to find a balance between happiness and work (Csikszentmihalyi in Gestão qualificada: a conexão entre felicidade e negócio, Bookman, Porto Alegre, 2004), by diagnosing the level of happiness shown by people in their working environment's, proposing solutions to enhance happiness and productive in certain enterprise's staff (Tidd and Bessant in Innovation and entrepreneurship, Wiley, London, 2007; Gestão da Inovação, Bookman, Porto Alegre, 2008). It is necessary, hence, an analysis beyond the happy-unhappy dichotomy when observing the different happiness levels presented in the routine and in the working hours, based on the interactions between creativity and innovation (Amabile in KEYS to creativity and innovation: user's guide, Center For Creative Leadership, Greensboro, 2010; Sawyer in Explaining creativity: the science of human innovation, 2nd edn, Oxford University Press, Cambridge, 2012; West and Richter in Handbook of organizational creativity, 1st edn, Taylor and Francis, New York, 2008). Furthermore, this article shows that it is essential to combine the present's happiness to a long-term project, an optimistic vision for the future (James and Drown in Handbook of organizational creativity, 1st edn, Elsevier, San Diego, 2012). To evaluate the work and a person's life, this article develops a Multi Criteria Model of Work Organization and Evaluation and a Map of the Corporate Happiness Levels as a conscious path through workplace, collaboration in the enterprise, the marketplace and society, up to the personal and social life of a subject (Kamel in Artesão da minha própria felicidade, 1st edn. E-papers Serviços Editoriais Ltda, Rio de Janeiro, 2007). It offers ten practical recommendations to raise corporation rates of happiness. Accordingly, this paper proves its relevance by offering reference material to professionals and enterprises who search changes in its current personal management policy, willing to move towards a society with increasingly fulfilled professionals, happy and productive in their own employment.
