The article is divided into three parts. First, through the festival of San Antonio Abad and its transformations, a form of relationship is evoked between society and nature that has dominated from the Neolithic to the present. So doing, we approach the relationship between agrarian society and its symbolic system, showing its meaning and the transformations it has undergone in the era of advanced capitalism. In the second part, reference is made to the new parties generated by movements such as the labour movement, feminism and LGBTQI+ activists. Changes in the relationship between society and personal identity are verified, as well as the “culture war” that, surrounds these phenomena, across the entire planet. In the third part, we approach the need to jointly reinvent humanity and nature, humanity as nature or nature as humanity. Thus, a phenomenon of the 21st century emerges, which forces us to consider the ritual manifestations in this field.
