Review Article Data Security and Privacy in Cloud Computing
Data security has consistently been a major issue in information technology. In the cloud computing environment, it becomes particularly serious because the data is located in different places even in all the globe. Data security and privacy protection are the two main factors of user's concerns about the cloud technology. Though many techniques on the topics in cloud computing have been investigated in both academics and industries, data security and privacy protection are becoming more important for the future development of cloud computing technology in government, industry, and business. Data security and privacy protection issues are relevant to both hardware and software in the cloud architecture. This study is to review different security techniques and challenges from both software and hardware aspects for protecting data in the cloud and aims at enhancing the data security and privacy protection for the trustworthy cloud environment. In this paper, we make a comparative research analysis of the existing research work regarding the data security and privacy protection techniques used in the cloud computing.

Nowadays cloud computing is rapidly expanding technology in the instant word. Data security and privacy issues are most important in the growing technology in cloud computing in business, industry and academics. Various types of the cloud service providers are available in the market such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Go Grid, Enomaly etc. Customers use this application in establishing application in cloud surrounding and access them from anywhere. Huge data are store on the cloud and the authorized users can access this data with support of various service providers. Data security and privacy issues are applicable both hardware and software building in cloud. The data store in the cloud storage must be protected by using various cryptographic algorithms such as AES, DES, 3DES and RSA. This paper focus on the data security and privacy issues such as data integrity, data privacy, data availability, data location access control in the cloud computing and the solution to the data security.

Cloud computing can be explained as a technology that enables user access to computing services over a network, different technologies have been existing over the years bearing a canny resemblance to what is termed "Cloud Computing" today, and these technologies have helped to shape its functionalities. Security is a fundamental factor that affects each and every field of study of which cloud computing is not exempted. Delivering computing resources over a network usually the Internet, creates problems associated with protecting information from unauthorized and malicious persons. The implementation of the cloud for infrastructure provides facilities such as data storage, servers and operating systems, which could result in unauthorized access to important information on the cloud. Cloud Computing refers to the use of computer resources as a service on-demand via internet. It is mainly based on data and applications outsourcing, traditionally stored on users' computers, to remote servers (datacenters) owned, administered and managed by third parts. This paper is an overview of data security issues in the cloud computing. Its objective is to highlight the principal issues related to data security that raised by cloud environment. To do this, these issues was classified into three categories: 1-data security issues raised by single cloud characteristics compared to traditional infrastructure, 2-data security issues raised by data life cycle in cloud computing (stored, used and transferred data), 3-data security issues associated to data security attributes (confidentiality, integrity and availability). For each category, the common solutions used to secure data in the cloud were emphasized.
