Change has brought various dimensions in all aspects of human life. The availability of information at finger tips has enforced the libraries to get changed radically. Today, modes of information generation, its dissemination and management are different which we had in the last decade. Similarly, information needs of library users have also changed extensively and libraries are trying to keep pace with daunting changes taking place day by day. The Learning Resource Centre of Jaypee University of Information Technology has been front runner to adopt new technology to serve its users proactively. In this chapter, a survey was conducted to know the extent of satisfaction level of library users with respect to library services, infrastructure and on available information resources. A light was also thrown on how library users are using the library.

The study focused on comparative study of user behavior and awareness among the two different public libraries in Chennai district, Tamil Nadu. A total number of 130 users and two different public libraries are taken into account for the study through a questionnaire based survey method. A well structured questionnaire is designed and distributed to the selected 130 readers. The collected data were classified, analyzed, and tabulated by using simple statistical methods. This study covers the impact of print resources on users in their libraries. The major findings are majority of the respondent are satisfied with availability of newspapers and magazines section being situated separately in the library. The results of the study are also indicates that majority of the users are colleges students. The users are good opinion about the reference sources.

A questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain user feedback on various aspects of resources and information services provided by the Kerala State Central Library (KSCL), Thiruvananthapuram. The findings revealed that 43.2% of the respondents were aware of the reading circle and book display services available in the library. The study also found that only a few users (9.1%) are highly-satisfied with the e-resources provided by the library. The users are aware about the quiz programs (40.9%) conducted by the library. The study found that the primary barriers for library users are the lack of computers and internet services. About 34.1% of the respondents adhered to the hygiene guidelines provided by the library during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study suggests that the library should conduct conferences, workshops, and training programs for its users to enable them to use e-resources and ICT services effectively and efficiently.
USAGE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY IN LIBRARIES OF TELANGANA

The utilization of Information and Communication Technology has made a vast amount of data easily accessible at various types of libraries, including academic, special, and public libraries. In this study examined the State Central Library, City Central Library and Branch Libraries in Telangana State with this objective in mind. The purpose of the study was to ascertain the staff members' technological proficiency, including their familiarity with social media and internet access in relation to their subscription to organizational technological resources. Additionally the study sought to ascertain whether recruitment policies were in place in the library and whether training sessions on technological proficiency were offered. Data was obtained through a questionnaire 15 from State Central Libraries, 14 from City Central Libraries, 50 disinformation and Communication Technology Central Libraries and 29 Branch Libraries using a simple random sampling technique. Two statistical methods were used to analyze the data: chi-square and percentages. According to the results (a) 82.4% of library staff members claimed to be knowledgeable about using information and communication technology (b) 74.1% of librarians said they were knowledgeable about using the internet (c) 69.4% of librarians said they were knowledgeable about using-(d) 36.1% of librarians said the libraries subscribe for electronic resources (e) 29.7% of librarians said they were knowledgeable about using electronic resources. (f) 25.9% of respondents the library has a recruitment policy in place (g) 14.8% of respondents libraries offer instruction in information and communication technology. The study finds that over 80% of the participants are familiar with using Information and Communication Technology have knowledge of how to access the internet, and nearly 60% of them are familiar with using social media. The librarians believe that the libraries do not have e-resource subscriptions and are not knowledgeable about how to use e-resources. Information communication technology personnel libraries do not have recruitment policies in place and organizations do not offer training courses on information communication technology use. The study also found that respondents' opinions regarding knowledge of how to access social networks, possession of internet access knowledge did not significantly differ from those of the institutions. But there are some notable differences between the institutions in terms of e-resource subscriptions, recruitment policies and organization-provided training programs.
This study has been undertaken to examine the contemporary use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) based resources and services and its impact on users. The study was performed via a questionnaire survey of the library users. The papers also determine the satisfaction level of users regarding online services, favorite search engine and problem faced by the users in using the ICT in libraries. Users proposed a variety of measures of formal orientation and training in ICT based resources and services to become more effective users.

The paper intends to explore the awareness, usage, access patterns, and problems related to electronic resources (e-resources) among the users of Sayaji Rao Gaekwad Library. It also provides the best possible suggestions to improve the awareness and usage of these e-resources. To fulfil the objectives of the study, a survey is conducted among the users through a structured questionnaire, followed by a personal discussion with users and the librarian. The quantitative and qualitative methods were applied to analyse the collected data, and a conclusion was drawn along with a few useful recommendations and suggestions. The study reveals that the library has a good collection of print and e-resources. 80% of library users are aware of the e-resources. Nearly 80% of users are comfortable accessing e-resources. The majority 60.57% of users have no problem with access to e-resources. Most of the users access the e-resources for academic and research purposes. The study is confined to the library users of Sayaji Rao Gaekwad Library (Central Library) of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. The study is unique in its way. A lot of research has been done on the usage, awareness, and patterns of access to electronic resources at various libraries. But very less user studies have been done using library collection data on the e-resources of the library under study. In addition, the study will be helpful for other librarians to maximize the utilization and increase the awareness level of e-resources among the users of their library.

This study deals with utilizing available information resources and services among users of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Central Library of Mahatma Gandhi Central University (MGCU), Motihari, Bihar, with special reference to Information Communication Technology (ICT) applications. The study's major objectives are to know the users' frequency of library visits, the purpose of their library visit, identify users' satisfaction levels regarding library resources and services, find out the major problems encountered by the users, and know the users' suggestions etc. The study was conducted through a questionnaire-based survey method. The primary data was collected through a structured questionnaire which was circulated randomly among 120 library users. The data has been analyzed using standard statistical techniques based on filled-up questionnaires. The study reveals that the majority of users visit the library almost daily and spend at least one hour in the library. The maximum percentage of users visit the library for the purpose of issuing & returning the books. Most of the users are familiar with the information resources and services of the library. But, a lot of users are not satisfied with available information resources and ICT-based services at the library. This study is unique and new because very few studies have been conducted on this newly established Central Library of MGCU. Thus, it is an effort to fill the gap and study the utilization of information resources and services from users' perspectives. This study will be also helpful for other academic libraries to provide better ICT-based services to their users and fulfil their information resources and services need.

The study examines the library professionals’ awareness and use of ICT tools among library professionals of five university libraries in Kerala. The analyses revealed that the library professionals in the university libraries in Kerala have relatively average level of knowledge in using various ICT related tools in libraries. Library professionals working in CUSAT are more conversant compared to others. It is also found that age is not an important factor in determining library professionals’ awareness in ICT tools and e-resources. A good number of professionals indicated that the main constraint in the application of ICT in libraries is inadequate training in ICT applications.

The services provided by librarian must be complementary to the basic purpose of higher education. In order to meet the purpose of higher education the librarian must be given an opportunity to conduct a survey on user needs and information seekers. This article explains about the importance of digital resources and its services to the z generation students of the degree colleges where they born with technology in their hands. Further article deals objective like awareness of digital resources, its utilization and its services in the Government First Grade Colleges. To collect the data Google form with well structured questions were distributed among 9 colleges which covers 505 samples with the analysis of the distributed questionnaire with inferences. Finally it ends with computer literacy skills among the respondents is mediocre 293 (58%) stage.155 (31%) are using the computer in less than 1year.262 (51.88%) of the respondents are learning the digital resources use through their friends.
