Indicators for Sustainable Supply Chain Performance Measurement
Because of sustainable development has recognized for last 10 years. Most interpretations of sustainable development recognize that there are constraints on long-term human activities consisting of three dimensions: economic, environmental and social. Indicators of environmental and economic performance are relatively well established. They can be combined to indicate the sustainability of products, services and supply chains. Meanwhile indicators of social performance are more problematic, particularly indicators to describe the social value of products and services. This paper reviews a context of social indicators and proposes a metric to measure social performance for sustainable supply chain.
Sustainable Supply Chain Management Performance Evaluation Approaches:A Comparative Analysis
In the last two decades, sustainable supply chain management (sSCM) has received growing consideration and becomes an increasingly popular in both academic and corporate point of view. This can be seen by the number of papers published and in particular by journal special issues and also a vast number of laws, standards and regulations which force corporate to implement sSCM. As such, sustainability development recognizes the interdependence of economic, environmental and social issues. Several approaches were proposed for the framework and implementation of sSCM but in this research field still in embryonic state. The implementing of sSCM activities are still focused on environmental issues. Social and ethical issues were seen as less tangible and more difficult to address. As the separation of three pillars of sustainability, connections between each other were distracted. This paper provides a background to understand current trends in this multidisciplinary field and offers a comparative analysis-both of academic research and corporate practicable point of viewcomprising three parts: (1) conceptual framework (2) implementation and (3) sSCM performance measurement. Using the current literature and the result of an empirical study, the results of comparative study enhance the important role of considering the integration among core 3 dimensions (economic, environment and social) and others support issues related on sSCM are necessary to achieve the sSCM performance.
AN INTEGRATED METHODOLOGY TO ASSESS SOCIAL PERFORMANCE OF SUPPLY CHAIN
Despite the fact that the concept of sustainable development originally included a clear social mandate, since a long time this social dimension has been neglected amidst abbreviated references to sustainability that have focused on economic and environmental issues.Now, social performance is a hot topic for researchers in management science. It is also one of the major concerns of supply chain leaders. To assess this performance, there are increasingly many management tools. It is then appropriate to wonder the role of these tools in supply chain: are these tools meet real organizational needs? Or they are used to promote supply chain image face institutional constraints increasingly strong? In this context, many modules and methodologies have been established in literature in order to evaluate social performance of supply chain, since it has become an important issue for society. However, few of them analyze social impacts. So, this work presents an integrated methodology to perform this evaluation, based on issues which significantly affect the society. We purpose a module which will allow the assessment of this performance. This module was tested in an automotive supply chain in north of Morocco.
Sustainability Performance Measurement Framework for Supply Chain Management

Sustainability of supply chains has been recognized as a competitive indicator for business. The most widely used framework for implementing sustainability practices from both company and supply chain perspectives is the triple bottom line (TBL). The TBL divides sustainability into three dimensions, i.e. economic, environmental and societal. Moreover, several existing approaches have been developed based on the TBL concept to measure sustainability performance. However, the TBL is a holistic view for the measurement of sustainability performance. A good sub-dimensioning or categorization in each TBL dimension is one of the challenges in the sustainable supply chain management (sSCM) research field. This work fills this gap by developing a conceptual framework, which transforms the TBL concept into strategic, tactical and operational levels of implementation. One of the challenges in sSCM is dealing with a wide range of objectives, criteria and elements in the supply chain. Because sSCM has to consider the whole supply chain, the complexity of the supply chain itself makes establishing a sustainability strategy very hard. A clear border of supply chain scope helps companies and their supply chains obtain a precise strategic direction and performance measurement system. This paper proposes a framework to identify subdimensions of the TBL aspect by analyzing the context of sustainable development and the engagement level of the supply chain. The proposed framework can be applied to establish and construct sustainability metrics in supply chain management.
Performance measurement of sustainable supply chains: A literature review and a research agenda

Purpose -The purpose of this paper is to develop the body of knowledge in the area of sustainable supply chains by providing a critical literature review in the field of sustainable supply chain performance measurement (SSCPM) and suggesting paths for future research. Design/methodology/approach -At a macro level, the evolution of the research field is analysed with the use of citation and co-citation analysis techniques. Further, the evolution of research on performance measurement (PM), supply chain PM, sustainability measurement and SSCPM is presented so as to highlight the criticalities of the research field. Findings -The paper highlights a research field that is immature, but is growing very fast. Moreover, key issues are highlighted in order to help scholars in planning future research.
An integrated model for sustainable performance measurement in supply chain
There is an ongoing importance to the sustainable supply chain performance measurement due to the shifting competitiveness between individual organizations of which supply chains competing against each other. Thus, evaluating the supply chain and improving supply chain performance require the development of sustainable supply chain performance measurement system. Once the performance measurement system only consist of the economical criterion, with the addition of sustainability now its measurement scope includes social, environmental and resource criteria. In this study, The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) Method was applied to deal with the importance and causal relationships between the sustainable performances measurements criteria by considering the interrelationships among them. To analyze the abovementioned graph structure, a relatively new and multi-criteria decision making methods of graph theory and matrix approach are used. The proposed frameworks are tested using data obtained from three different manufacturing companies that take place on the same supply chain.

In the competitive business environment achieving sustainable supply chains is an issue that is still to be solved despite its relevance. For that reason, there are several tools that have emerged in the last years to aid to understand and support supply chain sustainability. Performance measurement frameworks are useful tools that aid to collect and monitor the evolution of performance of any organization. However, there are few performance measurement frameworks developed in the literature for that purpose, all of them recently published, and lacking of a solid structure that aids to define and implement performance measurement elements in a way that provide an overall evaluation of the sustainability status of the supply chain. This paper introduces a novel performance measurement system to fill this research gap.
An exploration of measures of social sustainability and their application to supply chain decisions

Sustainability recognizes the interdependence of ecological, social, and economic systems -the three pillars of sustainability. The definition of corporate social responsibility (CSR) often advocates ethical behavior with respect to these systems. As more corporations commit to sustainability and CSR policies, there is increasing pressure to consider social impacts throughout the supply chain. This paper reviews metrics, indicators, and frameworks of social impacts and initiatives relative to their ability to evaluate the social sustainability of supply chains. Then, the relationship between business decision-making and social sustainability is explored with attention initially focused on directly impacting national level measures. A general strategy for considering measures of social sustainability is proposed, and a variety of indicators of CSR are described. Several of these indicators are then employed in an example to demonstrate how they may be applied to supply chain decision-making.
Sustainability Indicators for Evaluating Sustainable Supply Chain
Sustainability performance in supply chain has been recognized as competitive indicator for business. There are various existing approaches that organizations apply to evaluate their performance on sustainable supply chain management (sSCM). From our previous works, we found that none of existing approaches can solve the criticism of sustainable supply chain performance systems because the complexity of supply chain, complicated analysis methods, and several of involving stakeholders. Hence performance measurement model for evaluating sustainable supply chain should be developed in order to solve the criticism of existing approaches. Because of the complexities and difficulties in sustainability assessment, the sustainability metrics must be clearly defined and assured to satisfy a sustainable development's objectives. This paper proposed metrics to evaluate sustainability in supply chain context.
Analysing Company’s Performance by Using Sustainable Supply Chain Management (SSCM)

Due to consider the consumer needs, there is a significant amount of researches about SSCM. The integration of sustainability and SCM is very important to be studied deeply. This paper contains results of analysing content about assessing all journal studies systematically in SSCM literatures which published from 2018 to 2019. Performance of company in economic, environmental and social scope could be analysed by using Sustainable Supply Chain Management. Researches that have done also investigating factors that support SSCM practice. The researchers are positioned to speak to the issue that unexplored to the field of SCM such as policy implications of existing work.
