Most EFL students need help to develop their speaking abilities. Due to their limited vocabulary, poor grammar, and lack of confidence, they could not practice speaking. Ten students from the English Department joined a study group to address these obstacles. Method: The procedure was carried out online. The teacher created a WhatsApp group as the initial class medium. He added to the vocabulary development and grammar education on the screen. The students studied the material on a video podcast to retell to meet the comprehension criteria, synchronizing their inputs with real life. They then describe a picture to hone their communication skills. They also transcript their story in order to make the spoken and written versions of it coincide. Results: After following the teacher's instructions to build sentences using the lexico-grammar technique, students can identify the grammatical conventions used in podcasts. They can adequately narrate pictures thanks to this type of learning. Their increased confidence fosters mature dialogue. The students' delivery will become more fluid due to the novelty of learning sentence construction through lexico-grammatical techniques and synchronizing it to podcast material. They acquired the ability to apply vocabulary and grammar norms contextually. It was evident from the way they described the images. To fit the needs of their students in the classroom, teachers might change them. It also encourages other researchers to continue their observations.
YOUTUBE VIDEO UTILIZATION TO ENHANCE THE STUDENTS GRAMMATICAL COMPETENCE
Innovative language teaching strategies are necessary for language teachers. This quasi-experimental study sought to determine the grammatical competence of the participants after watching YouTube videos. The constructs included were: phonology, morphology, syntax, and vocabulary. Specifically, the study utilized the one-group, pre-posttest design which involved 45 second-year Business Administration major in Marketing Management students of the University of Mindanao Tagum College. To gather the necessary data, the researcher developed a questionnaire that underwent the validity and reliability test. In addition, lesson logs were used to incorporate the utilization of YouTube in the lesson. The experiment lasted for 10 days with an hour allotted for each day. The study revealed that after the utilization of YouTube in the class, there was an evident improvement in the scores of the participants; there was also a significant difference in the mean gain scores of the pre and post-test of the experimental group; thus, the study rejected the null hypotheses. Based on the result, the researcher recommends that language teachers should utilize YouTube videos in the classroom because of their positive effects on the students' grammatical competence.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools implemented online learning systems. There are many students who become bored easily with mediocre lesson as a result, students become less interested in learning therefore, so that to make students grow curiosity and not feel bored, the teacher must provide interesting material that fosters student curiosity, and videos are a necessary one. Audiovisuals that portray the actual circumstances of the issue can offer pupils with a realistic perspective. This study purpose to describing improving students' speaking skills through YouTube videos. The purpose of this article is that YouTube videos are an interesting medium that allows students to better access all aspects of oral skills. In addition, previous studies have also shown that using YouTube videos can improve employees' spoken language skills in many areas such as fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar. Contemporary Tutorial CALL: Using Purpose-Built Video as a Grammar Tutor
Despite an increased emphasis on form-focused instruction (FFI), the use of the computer as a grammar tutor has remained largely unexamined for nearly two decades. With new technologies at hand, there is a need to take a fresh look at online grammar tutors and link designs more strongly to contemporary second language acquisition (SLA) principles and the concept of a teaching presence. The aim of this study, therefore, is to investigate the potential of using a purpose-built digital video series as a virtual grammar tutor. To achieve this aim, we used a pre-test, post-test, and delayed post-test to evaluate the impact of a purpose-built grammar video on 62 EFL university students. The results of the study demonstrate that purpose-built video has strong potential for use as a virtual grammar tutor. Consequently, it may be possible to improve the state of Tutorial CALL from a drill-based approach to one that is more substantive through the development of a series of step-based video tutorials that tutor, allow for the practice of and evaluate second language (L2) grammar skills.
Stimulating Students" Vocabulary and Grammar in Speaking Using Audio-Video and Picture
The difficulty of junior school students in expressing ideas, thoughts, opinions, or feelings into spoken language, is the background of the study. The objective of the study are to find out whether there is significant achievement on students' speaking taught using audio-video and picture, and to describe the significant difference of speaking components between the students' taught using audio-video and picture. By applying quantitative approach through experimental study, 60 students of grade VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 03 Semarang were taken as the sample. To get qualitative data, questionnaire was delivered for those students. The result of the study showed that from five aspects in speaking assessment; pronoun, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension, the increasing of vocabulary and grammar showed the highest level, followed by comprehension. Videos in the English language classes
Nowadays there are abundant resources for foreign language teaching. Moreover, information and communication technologies (ICT) play an important role in it, too. And an experienced and enthusiastic teacher tries to enrich his/her classes with authentic but also motivating materials in order satisfy his/her students' immediate learning needs. Some of such materials are videos which seem to be attractive for both experienced and inexperienced students not only from the relaxing point of view, especially in the late afternoon, but also from the learning point of view. It is true that in any language class the most efficient and beneficial type of video is an authentic video which provides students with an authentic model of speech and through different kinds of activities develops particular skills and language structures. Some of the examples are given below. How to efficiently exploit videos in the teaching of English, though? What kind of activities to use? These are some of the questions which are going to be discussed in this article.
YouTube Tutorials: A Classroom Reinforcement to the Students’ English Language Proficiency

The study aimed to assess the impact of YouTube Tutorials as a classroom reinforcement tool on Grade 7 students' English Language Proficiency during the 2022-2023 academic year. It sought answers to questions regarding students' language proficiency levels before and after watching YouTube Tutorials in morphology, phonology, semantics, and syntax, as well as the overall improvement in English competence. The study employed a mixed-method research approach with 54 respondents, utilizing a self-made survey questionnaire.The findings revealed that students initially had fair to poor proficiency levels in various language areas, which significantly improved after exposure to YouTube Tutorials. The mean differences demonstrated a substantial increase in English competence, with a p-value of 0.000*, indicating statistical significance. YouTube Tutorials were found to reinforce learning by enhancing comprehension, problem-solving, and advanced study. It also contributed to broader knowledge acquisition, creativity, and improved language skills. In conclusion, YouTube Tutorials proved effective in enhancing English language proficiency among Grade 7 students. Recommendations included considering YouTube Tutorials as a reinforcement tool for English teachers, providing classroom technology, encouraging parental support, and emphasizing the importance of quality video content. Further research in different contexts and with diverse respondents was suggested for result validation.
