This paper aims to reach the perceptions, ideas and intentions of the higher education adolescences on the effects of technological innovations over interrelation/ communication between individuals. While advances in technology commonly works for the welfare and benefit of humankind, paradoxically in some instances could have negative outcomes on interrelations among individuals, minimizing face-to-face communication. The perceptions, so ideas of the individuals on the matter could differ depending on their age, gender, race and the culture beyond their relative intimacy and closeness to ICT tools. In order to penetrate the basic initiatives leading the perceptions of adolescents on the effects of technological improvements on human interrelations/ communication, a survey is conducted with 157 students in high education consisting of Asian, African, Cypriot, Turkish nationals. Results indicate that participants use technological tools for communication which lessens their face-to-face interaction. However they prefer social media more than face-to-face communication during conflict or undesirable situations.

Abstract: Due to the increase in the usage of ecommunication, many authors suggest that young generation tend to use electronic messaging more than traditional face to face communication. However, the number of research findings is still insufficient regarding this issue. The aim of this study is to examine university students’ preferences between these two alternative communication ways. In order to examine this subject, a survey consisting of 36 questions was applied to 419 university students. The questionnaire focused on four main dimensions of communication; information richness, ease of use/usefulness, emotion express and social presence. Results of the analysis showed that students prefer face to face communication for emotion express, usefulness and social presence whereas they prefer IM for information richness. The Trend of Technology used by Students Every Day in Chat, and Social Networks

Introduction: The development of digital technology and the use of the Internet has now become part of our life in every aspect of it, from almost all active ages. Purpose and Objectives: To know the goals of technology used by students. Methodology: This is a descriptive study, realized in the auditorium B-401 at the students of the second year of the Albanian Language-Literature branch, during the period 17 May-17 June 2017, through an applied instrument found by browsing the literature. Results: The sample consists of 50 female students who use every day mobile internet to read in any Wi-Fi environment which consists of chatting (21%), participating in social networks (17%), downloading music/ video (14%), getting information on school assignments (12%) or sending/ receiving-mail (12%). The other part of students use everyday internet to get information on books/ literary topics (9%), to read/ participate in blogs and forums on books and literary topics (6%), to read digital newsletters/ magazines (5%) and to download books (4%). They use the internet once a week minimum to get information on books/ literary topics and once a month to download books, to read/ participate in blogs, forums on books and literary topics or to read digital newsletters / magazines. Recommendations: monitoring students' usage and attitudes toward technology, how to provide the best support to those students who are not using the digital technology, and to provide a clear sense of the benefits of it.

This paper reports on research into how first-university students communicate with peers and professors and their general study habits and to examine the possible relationship between students’ use of digital technologies. The research is positioned in the interpretive paradigm. We conclude that most students feel comfortable with digital technologies and they see Facebook/MySpace as more about connecting and interacting with friends than for academic communication. Results show that students prefer face-to-face communication for both academic/school and social communication. Regarding study habits, students prefer to learn by themselves, work independently and to study at home. The ubiquitous presence of social media in the day to day life and activities of the youth today due to the advancement of technology and its easy accessibility is obvious. One needs to understand the effects it has on the psychology and perceptions of such students in the age group of 18-24 and the effects it has on their overall mental wellbeing and health. What needs to be examined is the extent and effect of the influence, its pros and cons, its impact on the youth and identification of specific issues so as to aid in the process of finding ways and means to tackle a phenomenon that is here to stay.

In this information age, technology such as the internet has a profound effect on the peer relationships and interpersonal understanding.The study incorporates the views of authors on the subject. There are advantages and disadvantages in using electronic communication for interpersonal understanding. It promotes better understanding, cooperation and closer peer relationship among students and teens. However, it also has a darker side. It can lead to cyberbullying. Information and communication technology has transformed the classroom scenario by the use of videos, etc. in the teaching and learning process. Students have become more sophisticated in applying electronic devices for their academic performance. The findings show that majority of the students prefer to use e-mail in their interaction. It is recommended that teachers and parents monitor the students to ensure there is no abuse and misuse of technology.

Bu görüşü destekleyen araştırma bulgularının ise sınırlı sayıda olduğu görülmektedir. Bu araştırma Türk öğrencilerinin hızlı ileti ve yüz yüze iletişime ilişkin tercihlerini incelemektedir. Bu amaçla 36 sorudan oluşan bir anket formu Marmara Üniversitesi'nin 419 öğrencisi tarafından yanıtlanmıştır. Anket formu bilgi zenginliği, kullanım kolaylığı/yararlılık, duygu aktarımı ve hazır bulunma olmak üzere iletişimin dört boyutuna odaklanmıştır. Analiz sonuçları öğrencilerin duygu aktarımı, yararlılık ve hazır bulunma boyutları için yüz yüze iletişimi; bilgi zenginliği için ise hızlı iletiyi tercih ettiklerini göstermektedir.

This is on account of innovation makes our work much simpler and less tedious. The effect of innovation can be felt in each conceivable field one such field in Education. El conocimiento del alumnado universitario por el uso que hacen de internet y las redes sociales

Las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) son parte de nuestras vidas. El estudio que presentamos se centra en conocer la práctica que tienen los estudiantes universitarios acerca del uso de internet y las redes sociales en diferentes ámbitos de su experiencia personal, familiar y educativa. Los resultados permitirán a los docentes reconocer cuáles son las herramientas virtuales que más motivan al alumnado y así diseñar estrategias didácticas que favorezcan el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje. La muestra estuvo conformada por 906 estudiantes universitarios. Se aplica un método cuantitativo, de naturaleza descriptiva y comparativa, en situación natural.
