Tenaghi Philippon (Greece) Revisited: Drilling a Continuous Lower-Latitude Terrestrial Climate Archive of the Last 250,000 Years (original) (raw)

This research focuses on the Tenaghi Philippon climate archive in Greece, which provides a unique terrestrial climate record spanning the last 1.35 million years. The study aims to improve understanding of abrupt climate change, particularly in middle and lower latitudes, and explores the environmental perturbations in correlation with sapropel formation in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. An interdisciplinary approach using various scientific disciplines is employed to analyze short-term climate variability across different climatic conditions of the Quaternary.
