Howeve, the situation arose out ofcompulsion but now has become a new way of learning fused with day today teaching-learning. This blended mode of learning is seen as the new normal by diferent field experts. People think that the right use of technology will transform the education system in India. National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has also stressed that distance learning and online classes as important tools to include more and more students in theeducation system. BLENDED LEARNING: THE FUTURE OF EDUCATION INDUSTRY

Blended learning method refers to " mixing of different learning environments ". It combines traditional face-to-face classroom methods with more modern computer-mediated activities using internet and other advanced technology. Traditional teaching method is most popular method of teaching in Indian school and colleges. Traditional teaching is a must where there is face to face interaction and cannot be eliminated from Indian education culture. Online learning, web based learning, intelligent tutor systems are the new technologies in education. Online learning has unique abilities to provide students with enriched learning experiences, to extend learning beyond the school day, and to support more successful differentiated learning strategies that personalize students' educational experiences. Web based learning has the advantage of learning through animations, multimedia, videos and chats etc. Blended learning is the teaching practice that combines teaching methods from both face-to-face and online learning is an established. The objective of this paper is to explain basics of blended learning, elements and procedure for blended learning, benefits, limitations and challenges for blended learning. While some predict that online classrooms will replace physical classrooms, some expertise suggests that blending online and in-person instruction is more likely to succeed in developing countries. However, very little research has actually been done on the effects of online education or blended learning in Indian continent education environments. In this paper description of blended learning initiative for future learning environment are discussed. Some digital tools to support blended learning, strategy to be adopted for incorporation of blended learning and recommendations for policy making are also given.

BLENDED LEARNING – A BOON OR BANE FOR TEACHER-LEARNER

The concept of liberalization, privatization and globalization in our country has opened up the boundaries to become a part of global village. Our country should bring out some changes in our traditional education system to provide the right content, in the right format, to the right people at the right time for quality and timely education. This can be achieved only when we transform our conventional education system as per the needs of society and economic status in the world. New innovations like the use of information and communication techniques (ICT) have made it imperative to adopt a new approach and Blended learning can be a key to success to meet global standards. It has been observed that at Lingaya's University, the use of this approach in the classrooms that require the physical co-presence of teacher and students has produced good results. The author tries to explore the possibilities of its use in our educational institutions discussing its pros as a boon and cons as a bane, justifying the title while adaptation into current conceptions, helps in engage students to attain academic success, combining online learning and face-to-face instruction effectively and ultimately throwing light on the uses of blended learning in the beginning and suggesting its expansion to ensure quality and accountability and socialization. Blended learning has become a buzzword and is in demand in corporate as well as academic fields and it is likely to emerge as the predominant model for the students in future.

The Role of Modern Technologies in Improving the Quality of Education

IntechOpen eBooks, 2023

The past era between 2019 and 2022 witnessed a development in technologies as a result of the use of scientific platforms and the creation of virtual interactive lectures, as universities began to develop scientific platforms as well as conduct virtual workshops and seminars, and once the matter of coexistence with the virus became necessary, a term called blended education appeared, which is a mixture of between the environment of e-learning and the environment of in-person education, and this form of education is considered one of the arts that universities resort to in completing the education process. As it became possible to attend the lecture from anywhere, this is a good thing that creates more freedom in the possibility of attending the interactive lesson or watching the recorded lecture later. Also, the teacher can take the test for his students in a way that does not require his attendance. Blended education is a method of self-education, as the student can access educational resources without the need to go to the university, so it is necessary to pay attention to developing modern technologies, improving the Internet service, and harnessing it for the benefit of the educational process to the fullest.

The influence of blended learning in higher education – An approach of modern technology in education

2022

The use of blended learning in higher education settings has been increasing over the years. It is acknowledged by Williams and Williams (2009) that the application for bachelor's and master's education has been on a rise. Blended learning itself is defined as the incorporation between technology and pedagogical practice. According to O'Connor, Mortimer and Bond (2011), blended learning is a mix between the traditional and new educational approaches in which course materials are supplemented through computer and online-based learning. Garrison and Kanuka (2004) simply state that blended learning is a combination of face-to-face teaching and online learning experience. The use of the approach varies in higher education and provides diverse benefits. It could be illustrated by the utility of video communication technology (Smyth, 2011), cutting-mobile systems (Shen, Wang and Pan, 2008) to web delivery course materials (Macedo-Rouet, Ney, Charles & Lallich-Boidin, 2009). Studies present convincing evidence of the benefits of blended learning. It offers flexibility as stated by Chung and Davis (1995 as cited in Lim & Moris, 2009) that students have a preference in choosing course resources and instructional process and time flexibility. The combination of time and cost-effectiveness reflects in the approach as well. Lothridge, Fox and Fynan (2013) note that as there are a funding limitation and advanced technology, it is vital to ensure learning material is reacmore hable faster and affordable. Moreover, students do attain an advantage of blended learning application in university. Smyth (2011) presents a new model of blended learning on the use of video communication technology encouraging constructive and transformative learning. In the perspective of university students, blended learning appears to be supportive. Drawing from the view of 1431 students, López-Pérez, Pérez-López and Rodríguez-Ariza (2011) affirm that the application of blended learning has encouraging benefits in the dropout number decrease and improving students' grade. Through content reception utilities, students are able to take part in the broadcast, asking questions, make a recommendation and receive direct interaction from tutors by Using cutting-mobile system (Shen et al., 2008). Despite the presented benefits and positive impacts, however, blended learning draws few drawbacks in its application in higher education. Minimum interaction between students and

Blended learning and technological pedagogical knowledge

Journal of Global Social Sciences

Information technology has converted the entire teaching pedagogy to a learner-centred pedagogy; this has led to the acquisition of tools of learning technology as a basic requirement on the part of both the teachers and the learners. Blended learning and pedagogical technology are veritable means of transmitting knowledge in the 21st Century. That is why the teachers and students alike are encouraged to embrace this form of learning to successfully migrate into this millennium. While we understand that this method has its unique limitations and difficulties, it is our hope that when fully explored, the potentials for tech crazy generation of learners are enormous. This research aims at exploring both patterns of learning and investigates their relevance and importance towards improving the learning experience and giving qualitative education.

Blended Education: Meaningful Use Of Technology

CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research - Zenodo, 2022

Blended education has become the need of an hour. It has a wide scope and is considered as a boon for academic world. Moreover, blending offline and online teaching and learning is actually a meaningful use of technology. Therefore, this topic was selected for the purpose of research with the objective of knowing the viewpoint of teachers and investigating the effectiveness of blended education in real life. The researcher used structured questionnaire to collect primary data from various respondents. Total 320 teachers filled the questionnaire based on their personal experience. After the data collection process, it was analyzed in SPPS software in which percentage, frequency, mean and standard deviation values were calculated. The researcher concluded blended education as a very effective mode of teaching and learning considering the advantages highlighted in this paper. The results also indicate that blended education helps not only in personal development but also in professional development.
