The present study aimed to assess the knowledge and attitude of university students about the new evolving coronavirus COVID-19. In this connection, the study was carried out among the students of SKUAST-K. A descriptive survey method was used to conduct the study. Under the jurisdiction of SKUAST-K, Shalimar, Srinagar, Faculty of Fisheries was selected by purposive sampling technique. The target population of the study comprised of the students of Faculty of Fisheries, Rangil, Ganderbal with total population size of 193. The sample of study constituted 100 students. Survey on Knowledge, Attitude, Perception and Practice among University Students during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Background: The numbers of infections and death by COVID-19 have continued to rise worldwide and preventive practice has remained to be one of the most effective ways to prevent it. We conducted this study to survey the knowledge, attitude, perception and practice of university students during the early stage of the pandemic in Bangladesh. Methods: This was a cross-sectional study with 305 students from Rajshahi University, conducted between March 11 and March 19, 2020. We developed a questionnaire for collecting information regarding COVID-19 following the instructions and guidelines of WHO and used frequency distribution, Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis (non-parametric) tests for data analysis. Knowledge and Beliefs of University Students with Reference to COVID-19: An Exploratory Study

COVID-19 became a topic of discussion among the masses since December 2019, worldwide. In this context, present study was conducted on university students to assess their knowledge and belief with reference to COVID-19. Out of 210 students from department of education, Mizoram University, 85 students were participated in online survey. It was found that half of the sample possessed moderate knowledge and more than one fourth of the sample had good knowledge with reference to COVID-19. Further, significant difference was found between the knowledge of male and female students with reference to COVID-19. Female students found to have more knowledge than male students of university, however no difference was found in knowledge of rural and urban university students with reference to COVID-19. Findings of the study indicate that there is a need to aware all the students in context of transmission of disease and intensify the awareness among male students in general. In context of belief, it is recommended the there is a need of awareness program regarding removal of misconceptions about treatments, pros and cons of online shopping and adverse effect of information related to COVID-19.

Survey of knowledge and attitude of students of Abadan University of Medical Sciences to "COVID -19"

Introduction: ”COVID-19” is a dangerous viral disease that has recently become a pandemic. In the meantime, the knowledge and attitude of medical students in caring for patients are very important. Therefore, this study was conducted to investigate the knowledge and attitudes of Abadan medical students about the “ COVID-19 “ disease. Methods: This cross-sectional study was performed on medical students (n = 255) in 2020-2021 using the convenience sampling method. Data was collected using a personal information questionnaire and a researcher-made questionnaire of knowledge and attitude related to the disease. The total score of students ‘knowledge about “ COVID-19” disease was between 0 and 33, where 0 means minimum knowledge and 33 means between 16 and 80. After confirming the validity and reliability of the questionnaire, the online questionnaire was completed by individuals. Results: The results showed that the mean and standard deviation of knowledge scores and students’ attitudes toward “COVID-19” disease were 13.42 ±2.69 and 22.27 ±3.9, respectively. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between attitude and demographic characteristics. There was a significant relationship between students ‘knowledge score and field of study (P= 0.001) but there was no significant relationship between students’ knowledge score and gender and marital status. Conclusion: Medical students have an acceptable knowledge and attitude toward “COVID-19”. On the other hand, our information about “COVID-19” disease is increasing every day. Therefore, the educational authorities of medical universities should design and implement programs to increase the awareness and attitude of students toward “COVID-19”.

Background: An increasing rate of COVID-19 cases throughout the world has increased the need to investigate the knowledge, attitude, and perception (KAP) of university students toward the COVID-19 pandemic to prevent its rapid spread as public cooperation and awareness regarding prevention is the only way to deal with this pandemic. Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted in Pakistan in April 2020. Data was collected by Google statistics and percent reliability was calculated through SPSS. Results: The number of respondents n=678, out of which 443(65.2%) were female and 235(34.85%) were male. The perception of students regarding this disease is shown in a table in which 33.2% of students consider it very dangerous. 54.2% thought it moderately dangerous. 62.38% of students consider muscle pain and 73.59% of students consider throat pain as a clinical presentation of COVID-19. 80.7% of students thought that exposure to a suspected case of COVID-19 serves as a means of acquiring COVID- 19 infection. The most effective measure of prevention comes out to be hand washing and covering face during coughing and sneezing. The main cause of the spread is a lack of public awareness and cooperation. Social media campaigns are an effective means of educating students about quarantine and controlling its rapid spread. Conclusion: Researchers concluded that It’s the need of the hour to increase awareness related to protective hygienic measures, rapid spread, and providing reliable approaches through social media campaigns to manage this pandemic. We believe that students should be involved in educating their surrounding society.

Introduction: India is on the track to overtake US covid-19 caseload as India is rapidly climbing towardsit’s peak. India faces an acute shortage of front-line doctors to fight against Covid-19. Thus, the recruitment of undergraduate medical students into the health care system has been considered by few state governments. This survey was conducted among undergraduate medical students to understand their knowledge, attitude, and preparedness towards the ongoing pandemic. Numerous international and national guidelines came forth. Government Of Gujarat and Plexus MD have launched CCMC [Certificate Course for Management of Covid-19] an online Training program which integrated all the current interim guidance by CDC, WHO, ICMR, MoHFW guidelines for all the medical students and healthcare workers. This study sought to determine the effectiveness of online Covid-19 Training program. This study intended to understand the level of Knowledge Attitude and Practice (KAP) among the Undergraduate students through online questionnaire survey. Questions were adapted from CCMC online training course. Methodology: After taking Ethical approval, data have been collected from undergraduate medical students belonging to three different medical colleges of Gujarat using online Google form survey via what’s app. The online questionnaire used in this study was drafted and validated by experts before hosting it online. Result: Total 414 participants have given consent to participate in this study. Overall score of all the study participants were 46.15% which implied their moderate cognitive domain. This study disclosed that 49.27% study participants were trained in covid-19 management course, rest 50.72% were untrained. On applying Mann Whitney U test, statistically significant difference (P < 0.05) in between trained and untrained participants have been demonstrated. Mean attitude 3.87 score revealed positive attitude towards preventive measure and perception in controlling covid-19 infection. On applying Spearman’s correlation test for non-parametric data, positive co-relation of knowledge with attitude and knowledge with practice was found to be significant (P <0.05). Conclusion:This study conveyed the significance of effective of Covid-19 management Training. This study recorded significant (P <0.05) positive co-relation of knowledge with attitude and knowledge with practice. A good level of knowledge and positive attitude towards preventive measures with adherence to standard guidelines provided by state and central government would combat the covid19 prevailing situation.

Knowledge, Perception and Attitude of the Undergraduate Healthcare Students Relative to COVID-19 Infection at a Teaching Institute of Karachi

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Efforts are being made all over the world to raise awareness in order to prevent the disease from spreading. The purpose of this study was to assess undergraduate healthcare students' attitudes, perceptions, and knowledge of COVID-19 disease. We conducted a cross- sectional survey in which a questionnaire with 12 questions was transformed online on Google forms and distributed online to healthcare students. Data was collected between May and June of 2021. The convenience sampling technique was used, resulting in a sample size of 926 people. A total of 926 individual questionnaires were evaluated.
