This study describes the multimodal Tundang Mayang Pusaka Melayu as one of the cultural roots of West Kalimantan. The multimodal that observed in this study is the interaction of language and meaning for Tundang development. Using an ethnopuitic approach, Haymes and Tedlok (1983) Ethnopuitic studies contain two main elements, namely the language-literary element (universality of the line model Haymes or the universality of poetics features) and sound elements (the art or aesthetics of sounding the narratives texts Tedlock’s model) and the combination of the multimodal approach, Anstey and Bull (2010), the analysis was carried out to obtain linguistic, visual, audio, gestural and spatial elements from Tundang.
Seni Beluk Cikondang Indigenous Village Reviewed from the Perspective of Music Education

The research was conducted to develop a music model based on local wisdom at Cikondang village, Pangalengan, West Java. The research problem was that, along with the changing times, the next generation tended to ignore the values of local wisdom. Therefore, through music learning, the values of art could be understood and actualized in everyday life. Music (nembang and ngabeluk) became a medium to express values in pupuh verses which contained wawacan about the relationship between man and their God, man, and others, and man and their surroundings. The data collection was done using observation, interview, and literature review then analyzed with the music education approach. The obtained results reveal that the learning process of seni beluk in Cikondang Village has taken place in the context of community education which is done informally, and formed naturally. The Transmission and Mediation of Local Traditional Folk Songs in the School Environment

Since 2008 the elementary schools in Slovakia have been given the opportunity to educate children in the field of “Regional education and traditional folk culture“ focusing on local history, geography, natural environment and basic ethnographic knowledge related to the place in which each school functions. Therefore, these schools can be considered as one of the most important mediators in the process of imparting this knowledge amongst the youngest generation in today’s society. The paper is based on a research conducted at 5 elementary schools that declared the implementation of “Regional education” and some components of traditional culture and folklore in their teaching process. At the beginning of 1990s, these schools were leaders in this process and became an inspirational role model for other schools. The author describes the current situation in these schools, the possibilities, tools and mechanisms applied by individual schools (teachers) in the process of education in the above-mentioned field. Furthermore, the paper describes the forms, educational content and factors determining this area.
The Analysis of Malay Song in West Kalimantan: Generasi Penerus Arrangement Reza Zulianda

Malay song is traditional music that until now is still less popular and interested in both teenagers, high school and higher education. It is because the Malay song is identical with the rhyme so that it becomes bored to sing. This article explores the structure of the song, ornamentation, and meaning contained in the next Generation song composed by Reza Zulianda. In the arrangement of the next generation song is made with a simple melody making it easy to sing. Not only that, in the lyrics of the song, the message and moral advice. The aim of the song is to motivate children in loving and preserving local songs through the art of culture, especially in Malay vocal music. The method used is descriptive analysis with a qualitative form. Observation data collection techniques, interviews, and documentation on next generation Malay songs. The benefits of this writing can be used to study traditional music art especially about Malay song and can be a reference for the next writer.
Social Values of Oral Tradition in the Kajang Tribe’s Songs

The finding of the research, the writer found that lyrics of basing song which have only connotative meaning and denotative meaning. In addition, there are four social values of oral tradition in basing song. They are as the value of human life, the value of the nature of human life in space and time, the value the human relationship with natural surroundings and the value of the human nature with each other. Based on the findings, the researcher concluded that basing song in the Kajang tribe’s is one of oral tradition that have some messages for human being because this song contained some social values. This research can be a reference to another researcher to explore the value of oral tradition of another region. To introduce the value of oral tradition which unrecognized not only in local area but also in international.

Tujuan penyelidikan ini adalah untuk meneroka potensi muzik di Vlu Tembeling untuk dikaji secara menye1uruh, dan juga untuk menambahkan lagi repertoire lagu Me1ayu untuk digunakan dalam pendidikan muzik. Penyelidikan telah dijalankan di lima buah kampung utama di Ulu Tembeling, dimana lagu-lagu penduduk te1ah dirakam sebanyak yang mungkin. Rakaman diterjemahkan ke bentuk notasi dan dianalisakan. Lebih kurang sepuluhjenis lagu telah ditemui, di antaranya adalah Indung; Saba; lagu dodoi;lagu bercerita;lagu permainan; lagu untuk Tarian Lukah, Tarian Limbung dan Tarian Mayang; dan juga Dikir Rebana. Keputusan analisis menujukkan bahawa muzik Vlu Tembeling kaya dengan melodi dan mempunyai sifat-sifat muzik yang tersendiri. Penyelidikan ini telah menunjukkan bahawa terdapat banyak lagi me10di lagu Melayu tidak diketahui dan adanya kemungkinan besar lagu Melayu pada semulajadinya mempunyai sifatsifat muzik yang berlainan dengan muzik Melayu yang biasa dikenali di bandar. Folklore As Local Wisdom for Teaching Materialsin Bipa Program (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers)

Folklore is traditional stories which are passed down orally from one person to another in a society. Folklore as one of the local wisdoms should be preserved folklore can be used as one of teaching materials in schools is one way to preserve and introduce the local folklore to the students. This study uses qualitative descriptive data in the form of information of folklore. The results of this study are seven pieces of folklore that come from different regions in Banjarnegara district. The sources of data are from informants, historical remains, and written documents. The data collection techniques of this study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The validation of data is done using triangulation of the sources and triangulation methods. It is expected that this study is able to be used as teaching materials in BIPA Program (Indonesian for Foreign Speakers).
The Use of Folk Songs in the Education of Children

Despite the fact that traditional songs are cast by words of mouth, it can easily be forgotten since these traditional songs are not written down. Haven known that the world is changing and Western songs have been documented, the youths now neglect the pure traditional songs but strive to document theirs. Parents at home do not have the time to teach their children the local language and their traditional songs. The people of Etsako Local Government Area of Edo State tend to forget that they can use folk songs in training a child and moreover, the functions of folk songs in the society. They also loose focus of the fact that a child can be taught to respect the elders through folk songs and most especially love for peace.
