Abstract

The paper is devoted to the construction of the model of civic activity of brothers in aprons and the issue of the relationship between Freemasonry and the civil value system. The actions of Freemasonry make it one of the first formalized European institutions and the pillar of the Age of Enlightenment. Its real influence on social, cultural and political reality can be proved by the history of Masonic obediences. Institutions of this type created, although in each of them on slightly different principles, an awareness of the bourgeoisie, new ideas and, finally, the concept of indirect political power, placed outside the official political centers, but appointed with appropriate prerogatives and an increasingly real influence on history.
