Analytical model of deformation of flange with concatenated shell under internal pressure
Bulletin of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Series: Physics and Mathematics, 2019
The rings torsion theory that is based on the assumption about flat rigid cross-section was suggested by the authors in the previous papers. The analytical expressions of torsional stiffness have been derived for different kind of loads: pure moment, shear force and surface pressure. In the present paper the analytical model of flange with attached cylindrical shell deforming under internal pressure is suggested. The mechanical system is split into two parts (flange and shell) with the help of imaginary section method. An unknown shear force and bending moments are applied to both parts according to this method. Therefore flange is loaded under internal pressure, shear force and bending moments. As mentioned above, for all these loads the angle of flange cross-section rotation can be presented in analytical form based on the rings torsion theory. Full rotation angle is presented as a sum of these angles. The radial displacement of imaginary section was determined on the basis of the...
Calculation of a Three-Layer Cylindrical Shell Taking the Creep Into Account
Construction and Architecture, 2018
The article presents the derivation of the resolving equations for the calculation of three-layer cylindrical shells under axisymmetric loading, taking into account creep. The problem is reduced to a system of two ordinary differential equations. The solution is performed numerically using the finite difference method in combination with the Euler method.

The present article deals with the calculation and comparative analysis of stress and deformation in the double-layer roof for large oil tanks when using three different modules: a parallelepiped, a triangular pyramid and a rectangular pyramid. For modeling stress and deformation in the supporting elements of a dome roof the method of finite elements is the most suitable one to be applied. For the analysis and optimization of the construction of a doublelayer dome roof with the diameter 60-100 meters software package SAP2000 was used, which enables optimizing structural modules, at the same time reducing the dead load, as well as the stress and deformation in the rods. The article provides information on dependence of the dead load and stress on the distance between the layers of the roof, along with the numerical values of © Электронный научный журнал «Нефтегазовое дело». 2015.

The results of a numerical study of heat transfer and hydraulic resistance in mini-channels located on a flat base of a developed surface are presented. The study was performed using CFD modeling methods. Verification of simulation results with calculated data obtained by well-known engineering methods for calculating the thermal-hydraulic characteristics of developed surfaces was carried out. The results of the study can be used to assess the intensification of heat transfer and flow analysis to use such a surface for cooling electronic and microprocessor technology.

The aim of the work is to perform a comparative analysis of the results of analyzing arbitrarily loaded shells of revolution using finite element method in various formulations, namely, in the formulation of the displacement method and in the mixed formulation. Methods. To obtain the stiffness matrix of a finite element a functional based on the equality of the actual work of external and internal forces was applied. To obtain the deformation matrix in the mixed formulation the functional obtained from the previous one by replacing the actual work of internal forces in it with the difference of the total and additional work was used. Results. In the formulation of the displacement method for an eight-node hexahedral solid finite element, displacements and their first derivatives are taken as the nodal unknowns. Approximation of the displacements of the inner point of the finite element was carried out through the nodal unknowns on the basis of the Hermite polynomials of the third de...
Technological support of carrying layer parameters by deformation and combined strengthening
Science intensive technologies in mechanical engineering, 2018
A promising direction of strengthening development is a combined strengthening by a surface plastic deformation with the further case hardening. There are considered possibilities for the creation of a multilayer heterogeneous structure with high strength and operation characteristics by a combined impact with a deformation wave and case hardening. The investigation results of the wave deformation strengthening of deposited metal allowing the support of a considerably higher level of material mechanical and operation properties as compared with rolled metal are presented. The results obtained allow recommending a wave deformation strengthening and combined technologies on its basis for operation properties increase of machinery in a wide range.
