As auxiliary elements are added to the end of words according to the structure Turkic languages, postpositions are very common here. Postpositions give a rich view with both the meanings they form and the words they are used together. The postposition üčün which is one of the most common postpositions in Old Turkic expresses the meaning of reason and it is varied for the parts of speech it is used and the inflectional suffixes added to them. The postposition üčün which is used after nouns without inflectional suffixes, genitive case of pronouns, and participles with possessive suffixes was used in different positions in Orkhon-Yenisey Inscriptions: 1. After nouns without inflectional suffixes: türk bodun üçün (Kül Tigin D 26-27), bäg ärdäm üçün (Elegesh 6). 2. After accusative case of nouns: säkiz adaklığ barımığ üçün (Begre 3). 3. After nouns with possessive suffixes: är ärdämim üçün (Begre 9), kaŋım üçün (I Chaa-Khol 3). 4. After predicative words (bar, yok): tört oğlum bar üçün (VIII Chaa-Khol 1), tägdük yok üçün (Bilge Kaghan D 28). 5. After nouns with the suffix -n (we can see the combination of a possessive suffix with the suffix of accusative case): ärdämin üçün (I Uybat 4), bädizin üçin (III Uybat 10). 6. After pronouns with the suffixes of accusative case: anı üçün (Bilge Kaghan D 28). 7. After adjectives without inflectional suffixes: tüzsiz üçün (Kül Tigin D 6). 8. After adjectives with possessive suffixes: bilgäsi üçün (Tonyukuk 48-49). 9. After adjectives with the suffix -n (we can see the combination of a possessive suffix with the suffix of accusative case, too): yablakının üçün (Kül Tigin D 24), küçligin üçin (I Tuva 4). 10. After participles without inflectional suffixes: içikdük üçün (Tonukuk 3), kolmıs üçün (I Kizil-Chira 4). 11. After participles with possessive suffixes: tägdükim üçün (Ongin 10). 12. After participles with the suffix -n (which is also the combination of a possessive suffix with the suffix of accusative case): yaŋıltukın, yazıntukın üçün (Bilge Kaghan D 16). In Orkhon-Yenisey Inscriptions, the postposition üčün is generally used after nouns without inflectional suffixes, with nouns and adjectives with the suffixes -n, as well as participles without inflectional suffixes and participles with possessive suffixes. The use of this postposition after the accusative case of pronouns, adjectives without inflectional suffixes and adjectives with possessive suffixes is also seen in Orkhon Inscriptions. Whereas the use of it after nouns in accusative case is only seen in Yenisey Inscriptions. As one can see, the postposition üčün is used in various instances and is very common, it makes a lot of different meanings.
