KONTRIBUSI AL-QURAN DALAM PEMBERDAYAAN PEREMPUAN MUSLIM (original) (raw)

Women often experience discrimination and marginalization in society. Among Muslim communities, the role and contribution of the Qur'an in women's empowerment is an interesting and relevant topic to discuss. The Qur'an as the holy book of Muslims contains teachings and principles that can be interpreted as the basis for increasing the role of women in various aspects of life. This research aims to explore and understand the contribution of the Qur'an in empowering Muslim women through text analysis and relevant literature. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a library research approach. This method was chosen to identify, analyze, and describe the interpretation and implementation of Qur'anic verses related to women's empowerment. The results show that the Qur'an emphasizes the equality of men and women before Allah SWT. The Qur'an recognizes women's rights in the economic, educational, and socio-political fields. The concept of women in the Qur'an reflects balance, dignity, and an important role in Islamic society. Although there are differences in roles and responsibilities, the principles of equality, protection and justice are recognized as an integral part of Islamic teachings. However, in practice there is still a gap between the ideals of Islamic teachings and the social reality in society. Cultural factors, traditions and misinterpretations often become obstacles in achieving true gender equality.
