Smart antennas for multi-path routing in ad-hoc wireless networks (original) (raw)
2017 Advances in Wireless and Optical Communications (RTUWO), 2017
Abstract
Data transmission capacity of ad-hoc wireless networks could be increased by using multi-path transmission and minimising mutual interference between nodes. This approach could also be used to extend D2D communication opportunities in 5G. The objective of this paper is theoretical analysis and computer simulation to reveal the best conditions for combining smart antennas and multi-path transmission in wireless ad-hoc networks. It is shown that there is some data transmission capacity limit in multi-path ad-hoc network and it depends on the number of paths, number of hops in the path and number of elements in the smart antenna array.
