At present, not only works of art and curatorial activity, but also the exhibition space seems crucial in the process of exhibiting art. The message formulated by exhibitions is influenced by their architecture through the architectural forms applied and the organisation of the space, along with its transformations, in order to create the individual character of a given exhibition. The paper analyses permanent and temporary exhibitions devoted to recognized artists (Felix Nussbaum Haus; Wyspiański and Wyspiański.Unknown exhibitions; Escher x nendo. Between Two Worlds exhibition). The aim of the work is an attempt to describe contemporary trends in exhibition design, pointing to the history of the phenomenon.

It’s believed in the modern ages that the existence of architecture date back to first human who needs to take shelter and creation of architecture belongs to a natural human instinct. Although architecture is born from natural human needs, architectural intellection which is shaped by aesthetic thoughts is formed for a long time in the history. Architectural productions which are shaped with various physical environments and communities are probably the most tangible productions that represent the community in the physical environments over the context. From the ancient history to present, architecture represents social classes, economic and cultural structures, rulerships and beliefs. Before the modern ages, architectural production’s representation is formed by architectural needs with the context. With the modern ages, its changed into representation of architectural production itself and its architect beyond the context. One of these architectural productions are museums which are exhibition spaces. It’s known that modern museums are started to build in 18th century. In the 19th century, museums are designed and differentiated by the common approach “specific spaces for specific objects”. In 20th century, exhibition spaces have become exhibition object itself beyond the “only” exhibition space. Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum which is still under construction, could seen as one of these cases. In the frame of the study, transformation of representation of architecture over the exhibition spaces is researched and compared with the similar historical spaces’ transformations. With the relations between representation and the city is researched with literature views on global cases. Istanbul Painting and Sculpture Museum which is the case of the study is examined with site observations and photographs. The aim of the study is to scrutinise and understand that exhibition spaces’ representation of itself and transformation beyond-context with making comparisons between similar global cases.
Integration of Arts and Architecture-A Need For Revival
Art must take the lead in education because creative faculty is the birth right of man, a faculty which distinguishes him from the brute" Frank Lloyd Wright. Art has always played an important role in Architecture, in the built environment. Mankind's desire to decorate their habitats is as old as the need for shelter. Art has a powerful effect on us in positive ways. A creative process is itself a source of joy for most people. Mere viewing of art results in feelings of pleasure. There are positive sensations when viewing an enjoyable, stirring work of art. In this age of technology and concrete jungle, art is of paramount importance. We try to balance our lives in trying to keep pace with the frenetic pace of life. A student who grows up with an artistic sensibility sees at the world from a different perspective. In this paper it is explained how the art plays important role in the life of mankind right from cave painting to modern arts. Art not only in galleries but wherever it is decorated or adorned it enhances the ambience there, either it is in context to it or not. Emphasis is given on the art at different famous places and how the common people can go closer to it.

The article is aimed to discuss the place of architecture in the space of ideas. The present work discusses a specific place, the Zaspa housing estate in Gdańsk, and refers to a specific person, namely, the author of artistic installations temporarily exhibited in the Zaspa housing estate. Also, the wider context of the specific situations in which the exhibitions were displayed is presented. The article attempts to answer the question of the importance of the quality of dwelling in the context of the quality of life of city dwellers. The work focuses on the subjective quality of life, identified most often with the feeling of satisfaction with life in its various aspects and with mental well-being. The physical environment generates myriad of values and comprises various connotations. These values and connotations, which are directly or indirectly represented by the output, generate a sampling area to understand the production and consumption forms of the physical environment, of its cultural, social and economic priorities and contextual relations. Therefore, architecture is utilized as a tool to understand the historical transformations and relations in various disciplinary fields while architectural criticism tries to understand the architectural building process and its outcome by exceeding its professional boundaries and observing the relationships between different disciplines and architectures. Literature, art, philosophy, politics are alternative means of expression, which complement architectural criticism. In this context, architectural biennials perform as periodical discussion platforms, which perform as an alternative space for the criticism and documentation of the current issues of architectural production and its most dire problems through a selection of works under a certain theme. The works exhibited at the biennial use different tools of narration in various disciplinary bases in addition to architecture itself, and therefore create an environment for generating content and values with multiple inputs for discussions as well as concepts defining the architectural outcome. In this paper, it aimed to discuss and evaluate the accumulation of works exhibited at the biennial with various contextual and conceptual arguments and interpretations, and the boundaries of functionalization of biennial exhibitions as a platform for architecture criticism.
Alternative Exhibition Spaces. Multi-criteria Method of Comparative Analysis

The aim of this article is to make a multi-criteria analysis of various exhibition spaces of an originally non-exhibition character and to determine how these spaces affect the selection of works and the exhibition concept. The analysis is based on the exhibitions of art objects at collective exhibitions in unconventional architectural spaces: commercial, i.e. the modern office building of PBG Gallery Skalar Office Centre in Poznań, post-industrial i.e. in the former Zakłady Przemysłu Ziemniaczanego Lubanta S.A. and in the historic interior of the "U Jezuitów" Gallery of the Cultural Integration Centre in Poznań. The display has been used from the very beginning to display objects. Exhibition design is a combination of display and contemporary visual communication design. With the development of the exhibition concept and the increase in interdisciplinary cooperation, communication is established by including the space itself in the design. Today, the exhibited products are no longer exhibited, the exhibition itself has become a work of art and the exhibition design has begun to be designed consciously. This change causes you to question what art is and what design is. Within the scope of this research, a descriptive study was conducted to improve the interior design performance in the context of the space requirements of the exhibition space. As a method, in the first stage, an international literature review was conducted using the keyword "exhibition design". In the next step, based on the data obtained, it has been tried to reveal how experience and interaction in exhibition design can produce original results, with examples limited to photography studies and metal/glass works to evaluate works in various dimensions. Thanks to this research, comparisons were made to improve the design performance of the exhibition space, which designers can use as input in the design process. Reproduction of such works will greatly improve the artist's performance in exhibition design and ensure the up-to-date continuity of knowledge and experience sharing in future designs.

Art and architecture had the similar cultural impact in the Old Regime. However, in the age of enlightenment and secularization, art was dissociated from political and religious influence, and more and more became the object of aesthetic desire. Art was in the hands of high culture and dissociated from the everyday life. Architecture, more or less, followed the similar track, and at the same time, was disregarded as a mere background for the arts. With the Avantgarde modernist in the European continents, the redemption of total works of art and architecture began to take various approaches such as Russian constructivists, German workers' group, Dutch rationalists and so on. Among many approaches through Modern architecture that combine art and architecture, the envisioning case for this research' s topic is the Jose Luis Sert' s Spanish Pavilion at Paris World Fair at 1937. This paper will reinterpret the importance of museums in modern architecture in the viewpoint of the unity of art and architecture and will propose a new form of museums that include current media art and installation art.
Between Documentary and Artwork: The Unique Tradition of Depicting Architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of BUT, 2020
The history and development of architecture. Those two words accompany a traditional subject taught for decades at faculties of architecture. The goal of the subject is to look into the past and to update the present, enabling the current students of architecture to orientate themselves more easily in the complex and demanding search for creative starting points. The history of architecture is a subject that logically lends itself to being presented in the form of lectures. However, in the past, the schools of architecture used to teach the subject through practical exercises. Those exercises provided a practical opportunity to create a historical theme with enough time for one’s own study of details and general connections. This article covers the development of the depiction of the history and development of architecture against the background of the events that took place in the course of the century of architects being educated in Brno.
