Enterprising education - a research on students as agents of change in social entrepreneurship

This article is a study on the awareness and understanding of social entrepreneurship among students. Moreover, the article aims to emphasize the different meanings this buzz word has developed, whether it is the purpose of social entrepreneurship, the fields it activates in or the profit which should or should not be distributed. We aim to cover aspects of the definition of the social entrepreneurship field, as well as the ways in which students act as agents of change. The main research methodologies used except for literature review are interviews and case studies for several social business developed by students. The interviews are with no predetermined questions, in order to allow flexibility. The article wants to demonstrate that students are the emerging social entrepreneurs and important initiators of change in this field. Educational Activities for Developing Social Entrepreneurship

The purpose of this article is to analyse educational activities undertaken in the area ofsocial entrepreneurship. The main conclusions are that respondents do not know about social entrepreneurship and social initiatives are undertaken only to a minimal extent; education for social entrepreneurship is at an unacceptable level. Thus, education in economics in Poland should be enriched with social economy and social entrepreneurship. An essential element that can positively affect the development of social entrepreneurship is the support of social activities undertaken by young people within a broader debate about the social dimension of our lives.

Youth Start Social Entrepreneurship Program for Kids: Portuguese UKIDS-Case Study

Todayís society has valued entrepreneurship in various sectors of personal and professional life, but the school seems to forget this reality. Aware of this fact, the Portuguese Ministry of Education has created a program, from early childhood education to basic and secondary education, to develop the concept of social entrepreneurship in schools. The Porto Polytechnic Higher School of Education, as an educator of teachers and teachers of the First and Second cycle of Basic Education, joined the European UKIDS project to integrate this theme in the initial and continuous teacher training. In this article we will analyze the data obtained from a UKIDS Portuguese Partner School in the context of continuing teacher education and present some conclusions. The qualitative methodology used allowed us to conclude that the UKIDS project enhanced the valorization of individual capacities, such as creativity, self-confidence, the power of argumentation, as well as the construction of social competences, in interpersonal and group relationships, which are crucial in the formation of a childís personality in the basic school learning process.

The main objective of this thesis is to present this training program in an orderly and systematic. It is based on previous experiences, not systematized until now. General characteristics of the INNOVACTION: • Training to assist entrepreneurs, develop a habit socially entrepreneur • Promote and enhance the value of intangible elements within organizations that are central in the social entrepreneurship as are the moral values and, at the same time, enhance the computer as necessary to promote the importance of these values. • Promote models of social organizations out, and also toward the center, supporting the constitution of companies from the collective, with a high degree of participation and a reinvestment of profits in the own activity • Develop models of intervention, in the form of social enterprise that integrate, develop and promote a sustainability: social, environmental, economic, cultural, aesthetic... • Generate a natural forum for discussion and awareness of social entrepreneurship and other measures for the promotion of the economy without compromising the human and social development.

Self-realization in the professional sphere is one of the most important areas of human activity. In the conditions of socioeconomic crisis, the transition to market relations and strengthening of social stratification, it is important to involve business in solving major social problems. The paper substantiates the importance of the process of teaching unemployed women the basics of social entrepreneurship for their self-realization in this direction. Recommendations are presented on social entrepreneurship education, aimed primarily at unemployed women, creating a positive image of an entrepreneur organizing a socially oriented enterprise, and providing educational support to social entrepreneurs. An educational course "Social Entrepreneurship" has been developed, which can be implemented by regional employment services and non-governmental agencies to promote employment and self-realization of unemployed women.

Problems and Perspectives for Social Entrepreneurship in Higher Education

This article examines the problem of social entrepreneurship education in higher education. Along with traditional entrepreneurs, it is of particular importance to create social entrepreneurs through collaboration between academia, social enterprises and business. The development of social entrepreneurship in higher education institutions in Bulgaria faces a number of problems, as well as prospects for its development. The purpose of this article is to identify the problems and outline the prospects for social entrepreneurship in higher education in Bulgaria. By undertaking the necessary activities in the direction of increasing social awareness, sustainability and social responsibility, universities can train socially oriented entrepreneurs to contribute their knowledge and abilities to the development and well-being of our country. The main research methods involved in the development are content analysis, method of analysis and synthesis, method of observation, intuitive and systematic approach.

The article deals with connecting theory with practice in the school environment. Schools are able to create, to a certain extent, an environment that resembles the real working environment in companies within the subject. It could be, for example, a vocational subject that is focused on the field of production and business. That subject can work if we establish quality conditions that are important for running the business. Ensuring suitable work equipment, technique, and technology, educated staff and suitable working conditions is essential. Certain factors influence each work environment, job position and function. They should also be part of the summary of topics for this subject. The article describes the essence of the accurate functioning of the class aimed at linking theory with production and business activities. The primary technical and economic knowledge of pupils is essential as well. That knowledge is the basis for the creation of realistic goals and their realisation within the exercise of entrepreneurial activity.

Emerging Trend in Entrepreneurial Education Janusz Tanaś and Maciej Tanaś

This paper explores development of entrepreneurial education as fundamental to building progressive economies, the impact of social capital and how knowledge will be delivered to encourage cognition and behavioral development among students. We argue that social capital serves as a building block to be developed in order to achieve success from pedagogical initiatives of entrepreneurship. Educational policies initiate pedagogical changes throughout the primary school years and beyond by involving policy makers and educators to develop curricular that encourages critical analysis as a means of instruction and education to further the growth of human talents, which is vital for the transition into an entrepreneurially oriented society. A conceptual model is developed inline with current pedagogical and social capital theories, and recommendations are made for both educational and institutional bodies and a policy paradigm is suggested for affecting change.

The role of teaching institutions to prepare and promote social entrepreneurs

This research intends to analyse how Universities must have an important role in social entrepreneurship promotion and in the regional and social sustainable development itself. In fact, it's our opinion that students must be advised how can they start up their professional careers in social area and how they can be competitive in the professional world. Thus, academic curricula and teaching methodologies must give them the basic tools so they can have entrepreneurial spirit and to develop innovative programmes/organizations as well as, at the same time, to contribute for a more inclusive society.
